Helen's quest for good health!

I can't multi quote so thanks for all the messages, still doing my squats and Swiss ball work.

Got weighed a day early and lost 1lb, should have been really pleased with that but as I'd been so good I wasn't which is stupid really so went to Tesco and went mad, I pigged out on 4 cookies and pick n mix, way over syns.

I drew a line under it, went out to lunch yesterday, had chicken and salad, felt pleased with myself until hours later getting the train home I grabbed a bag of cashews and then got home and had Freddo bars!

What's wrong with me?! My tummy obviously doesn't appreciate the crap its had poured into it as been in pain overnight and keep running to the loo!

I've got to be back on it today, it's ridiculous.

I've got a CDWM dinner party tomorrow night, it isn't going to be on plan, I had no idea what to cook and it's been doing my head in, was going to cook all SW friendly but the desserts are easy to make so I know I can do them tonight and some SW recipes are hit and miss.

I know it's not sw friendly but what does this sound like? :

Seared scallops and black pudding on a bed of minted pea puree

Braised lamb shanks with crushed herb new potatoes (or mash) served with green beans

Salted caramel chocolate pots

....

I'm looking forward to it but need to get my arse in gear, get shopping, clean the house, at least it's tidy apart from the little room which won't take long and then sort out music on ipod, goody bags I'm making, make the food... Ahh lol!

Morning Helen....

Well done you on the squats and swiss ball
and woooooo to the 1lb off m'lovely
in answer to the whats wrong with me question
Nothing....thats what nothing...we have all of us done it
been there and worn the tee shirt pah!
Food for your CDWM party sounds awesome ps if theres
any black pudding left can you drop it off next time your
passing me in Bedfont lol

You lot really are the angels on my shoulder aren't you?!

You must admit these look good though and for a Hollywood themed party with sparklers coming out of them and cocktails flowing they'd look better than a pavlova.. However I'm going to find a recipe for pavlova and make that for myself! X

Oh wow
I could certainly scoff them

Kally I do like roulade but worry it might have too much of a sweetner taste which is fine for me but not when I'm trying to impress!

Normally have my menu sorted out so far in advance but just couldn't work out what I wanted to do.. You're the brilliant chef, do you think the lamb shanks will be okay for main? X

lamb shanks will be lovely
as for those dessert pots - I want one
if you do make them can you give us the recipe please :)

Morning lovely, we've all done haven't we when we think a lb pah but it's a pound lighter than last week!! Have you got the new mag? There's some lovely desserts in it of you want me to take pictures and post them for you?

Hola Helen! I can see the temptation to not stick to plan as you're wanting to impress. I'm not a good influence but as it sounds like you've already decided to make the lovely desserts etc just go with it, give yourself the night off in exchange for getting right back on the wagon on Sunday.

H if you Google Salted caramel chocolate pots they're one of the first things that come up, think it's BBC Good food.

They're lovely but very rice and totally not diet friendly! X

I know a lb is brilliant so don't know why I did it! Cor last year I would have been over the moon with a lb lol!

Thanks for the offer, I've got the mag here so will look through but I just find sw recipes really hit and miss and this is one occasion where it can't be a miss!

Hate to say this but my friends food was okay, very basic but she done brilliantly well on the 'ambience' and entertainment.. I wanna do well on both! X

You know me too well...

Rereading my posts it looks like I had already made up my mind!

I've got all the stuff needed to make pavlova so if I get time I will make them but I will prioritise everything else first x

I say have it, enjoy it, show off your skills ;) and Sunday we will all be here to to put you back on the right track!

I think you've kind of decided :)

But instead if he fruit salad being the possible alternative - pavlova but only if you have time. That sounds like a good plan :)
