Helen's quest for good health!

I don't think your diary is boring!!

Hope your back is feeling better any luck on an xray ?
Hope you ok to be able to go away, sounds like a nice trip xx

Aah thanks you two, backs hurting still but had quite a good day, going back to NHS physio on Monday and then Doctors Wednesday so we'll see what they have to say.

Over the moon, I lost 2 1/2lb this evening? I need a 1 1/2lb to get my 3 stone award.

Need to stay positive though as when I was 2lb away from 3 stone I then started only losing 1/2lbs.. Positive thinking, positive thinking x

Brilliant loss, well done!

Hope you get some good news about your back after seeing the physio and your doctor next week.

:)

I lost 1lb, which I was really pleased with, as I really really expected to put on this week, so am now going to be super good this week, so I can lost a whole stone (at 13lbs at the moment!)

Positive thinking is definitely the way to go - I used to be quite a pessimistic person generally, but now feel much more upbeat about things!

That good, I tend to be a positive person in general but did think I'd probably put on this week hence why I was so chuffed, you must have been pleased with a lb seeing you were expecting a gain, good luck this week x

Got more physio this afternoon and still no car so good exercise as got to walk their and back.

Hi Helen
Sounds like a good weekend again your just a social butterfly ;-) have a good few days to pull it back, I've done 100% all week so we shall see... I've got a few things coming up too so it might all go the wrong way ha ha
How did you get on at physio ?? You still off work ? Hope it's getting better take care x

Hey Lynica, it's unusual for me to have all this stuff on as usually working oops! Seriously though they were my rostered weekends off so all the stuff was pre planned.

I thought my back felt a bit better so stopped the pills to see how I get on but think I need to get back on them as still quite a bit of pain.

Physio yesterday says its a disc in my back affecting a nerve, she did loads of physical tests and says my left leg is very weak, it doesn't want to work, got loads of exercises to do but could take 9 months, which I don't mind if I know to expect that.

Work has now called though and said they will pay for me to see a specialist but no treatment just to see me so going there on Wednesday, hopefully the Doctor won't mind! I'm seeing him Wednesday as well!

Anyway enough of me, how was your weekend? X

Thanks for the mushroom and lentil load idea but don't think hubby will be too impressed lol.. Might have to save that idea for another day, normally I love cooking but feel like I just want to throw something in oven so might look at one of those simply cook meals.

I've got my fingers x'd for a great loss for you on Thursday.

I think all back pain must be bad regardless of whether it's muscular or what, thing is one thinks it's a labral tear in hip and one thinks its disc so still not 100% but did feel confident yesterday as she did so many tests. Heres to hoping we both get relief soon.. What do you think helps you're most? X

Been to see consultant at private hospital today, need to have MRI scans as so many things it could be and he needs to find out primary cause and see if the other things are compensatory (think thats the word!).

Still no car! Went to pick it up yesterday and it's gone wrong again.. Really could do without expense of a new car especially as its only 5 years old.

Wednesday 9th November

Breakfast: alpen light bar (1/2 HEB)

Lunch: spicy parsnip soup
1x wholemeal toast (1/2 HEB), 28g low low cheese spread (1/2 HEA)

Dinner: cheese & bacon topped chicken (Tesco simply cook 0.0 syns.. How? Wasn't very nice though), potato wedges, BBQ beans
Rice pudding (1/2 HEA), 1tbsp chocolate spread (4.0)

Snacks: 2x slice of ham

Total syns: 4.0

Seriously lacking fresh fruit and veg lately! Need to sort that out as not doing EE properly at the moment
