Helen's quest for good health!

Wednesday 26th October (sick)

Breakfast: mashed potato (left over from last night.. Not good I know but I felt like having it!), 2tbsp ketchup (1.0)

Lunch: baxters vegetarian Mediterranean tomato soup (HEB)

Dinner: chicken stuffed with spinach, fig & Shropshire blue served on roasted root vegetable risotto

Snacks: 42g reduced fat cheddar (HEA)

Total syns: ?

Didn't have time to make my own soup today but it was okay, have got stuff in to make a couple of batches tonight or in the morning though.

Dinner in the restaurant was lovely (although risotto didn't seem as nice as the one I make lol!), there wasn't that much cheese so guessing less than 28g so 5.0syns so hoping the risotto wasn't more than 9.0 and then I'm within syns.

Oh no Helen x

I hope you start feeling better soon. I agree with Chelle - keep badgering the docs until you get more help.

Just been to see the original physio who I had been seeing (the private one work was paying for) and she has now discharged me as she wants me to see a hip specialist, so have to see what they say.

Oh no I hope you get it sorted soon not good when you can't get a straight answer. Take care an do as much as feels comfortable x

Managed to get an appointment at GP's this afternoon so see what he says about seeing hip specialist.

I'm just so confused as want to do what's best for it but some say rest, some say exercise.. Can't win!! X

Hi,

I hope you feel better soon and get some answers from the doctor.

We went to Cornwall last month for our first family holiday and it was brilliant! We were down by Lizard.

:)

Hi Caroline,

We weren't as far down as Lizard, we were at Portwrinkle which is near Looe, it's so beautiful down there though isn't it?

Thanks for your well wishes with regards to Dr's, I'll let you know how I get on x

Had a few days of not coming on here, had a bit of a downer, was just getting a bit fed up of being off with my back and all the conflicting info I was getting, had a good few days and feeling a lot more positive today.

Thursday night I went to watch a Gang Show that I used to be in followed by a Chinese meal (at 11pm at night!), Friday was supposed to go out to a party but was still a bit low despite having a good time Thursday night so stayed in and chilled and then Saturday night we had dinner at a friends with champagne and cocktails and then yesterday we had wine tasting followed by a gorgeous meal, as you can see I've been off plan.. Well not totally as still doing breakfast and lunch on plan but eaten a lot of naughty stuff in the evenings but have enjoyed myself and was just what I needed. Was annoyed though as picked up a drink which said "no added sugar" so thought it would be FREE but it's 7.0 syns!

Monday 31st October (sick)

Breakfast: 2x wholemeal toast (HEB) with 57g Kerry low low cheese spread with black pepper (HEA)

Lunch: sweet potato and chilli soup

Dinner: coley korma (using cod lol as Tesco out of coley!) (olive oil, korma paste & kara coconut milk 7.0), basmati rice
Banana delight with kara milk (4.0) topped with 1/2 packet treat size buttons (2.0)

Snacks: slice of ham
Apple

Total syns: 13.0

Mmmm the cheese spread was so good, tasted really naughty, I felt I shouldn't be eating it!

Hi Caroline, I saw someone had posted about the cheese spread so checked the SW website and both the normal and the black pepper one are 57g for an HEA, not sure about the chilli one as haven't checked the syns and also haven't looked how much you can have for HEB on green as that might be different as well but it's nice to be able to have a cheese spread as an HEA on EE.

If you're not a member did you want me to check for you? X

Really feels naughty eating it!

Although I'm really in pain today I feel happier in myself... Not long now until your holiday! You must be so excited! X

This is the coley korma (using cod), used kara coconut milk rather than a tin of coconut milk which was fine and in fact gave more "sauce" as it was thinner, would definitely use again as it saves on syns and no waste as you'd only use 1/2 tin coconut milk and I use the carton of kara anyway, might put some coconut essence in next time though as you can't really taste the coconut in the kara.

Yes :)

Food will be naughty but hopefully upping the exercise will prevent too much damage
