Thanks everyone, 1 1/2lb off, lowest weight I've been in years, need 1/2lb more for 3 stone award x

Well done Helen what a great feeling and that award will be yours next week :) x
Glad you feeling better too x

Hello Partner! Remember just because your not weighing in next week doesn't mean you can be naughty ;) its only 3.5lbs until we are under 200's now how exciting :D

Thanks everyone, can't get to a group next week and can't make Thursday week after so depends if I can get to another group or else it'll be 2 weigh ins I miss.. At times like these I wish I had scales at home!

We're about to go for a curry, going to enjoy myself but need to make sure I don't go on slippery slope downhill as going in neighbours for dinner tomorrow night as well!

Been told our section is being taken out of uniform at work, not all that impressed to be honest, it's going to cost a fortune to buy loads of civvies as I live in jeans currently, no idea what I'm going to wear for "business attire" and they won't compensate us for the cost of new clothes, I know I'm whining but when you've worn uniform for over 15 years its going to take some getting used to having to think about what to wear at 3.30 in the morning.. I'm going to have to get organised! X

We can wear it for about 3 months to give us time to build up some clothes, as a compromise as we said we wanted money to buy a new wardrobe and even though the unions were fighting it we didn't get anywhere!

It's strangely exciting but it'll be too tempting to want to buy clothes where as I rarely go shopping at the moment, my credit card is going to take a serious bashing, also some of the people in our office are very into designers and on the rare occasion we've worn our own clothes on say courses or something they wear really expensive things and judge what people are wearing, yesterday one bloke said, "great no uniform, perfect excuse to go shopping in All Saints", I looked at their website yesterday and you're looking at say £300 for a suit, I'm sure it'll all calm down once we've been in civvies awhile but I really don't want people looking at me everyday to see what I'm wearing!

Helen lovely you wear what you are comfortable in, hold that head high and let them waste their money. who cares what the label says, can anyone see it? nope! if they have 300 to spend on a suit they probably have no life or a huge credit card bill. :8855: just buy a handful of mix and match items lovely and smile :D:D:D:D wear a smile and nobody will notice what brand you are wearing xxxxxxx

Thank you Jackie, I don't think I actually own anything designer as really don't go in for all that, it's just the fact we're all the same and blend in at the moment, don't want people looking at me!

Have they told you any rules? Is here a dress code?

As far as we're aware it's business attire, what ever that means! No dress down Friday but I think Nights and weekends will be relaxed dress (think they need to tell the people we're merging with though as they live in jeans!)

I'm guessing black trousers and maybe a few cardigans with vest top underneath and perhaps a few blouses is the way to go, saw a lovely dress but not sure I'd have the confidence to wear that and also pencil skirts look lovely but again not sure but I suppose if I do it from the beginning I might feel better than wearing trousers and then suddenly wearing a dress/skirt.. What do you guys wear to work? X

Ours is not too formal. Those who meet the public wear smarter clothes sometimes - suits etc but not all the time.

Lately I wear trousers and tops or jumpers or blouse and cardy. Or a dress and boots or skirt and boots and jumper. The only rules are no jeans, trainers or tshirts with logos.

In the summer it's really relaxed, cropped trousers, top or plain tshirt and sandals or flip flops. But I'm based at my desk all day! Not sure if I'll attempt skirts or dresses in the summer as the only reason I did start wearing them now is I can wear tights!!!
