I've done 16 years service today at BA, don't know where the time has gone, never imagined I'd be there this long when I joined but still loving work (most of the time) so can't be bad x

Any job you love is worth staying with... As bad as pub life can be it has been the best thing for Kev... It was something he was cut out to be... The only downside is we never know where we will be living for long... I suppose that's part of the challenge... Congrats on your work anniversary... xx

Been thrown into chaos, late last night got invited down to Devon this week for a last minute holiday, of course we said yes so heading down after work tomorrow night or early Tuesday morning and coming back Thursday evening (hopefully in time for weigh in).. That's not the chaos though.. Was at work when I got a text from my step daughter.. Saying they are getting married on 9th June! That's less than 3 weeks away!!

At first I thought it was a joke as know they like to have a laugh with us but no it's for real! Everything else is available, photographer, venue, florist, just waiting for church to confirm tomorrow 100% but vicar doesn't think anythings on that day, Bann's are being read in church tonight!

So my next 3 days off we're in Devon, I'm then at work for 6 days one of them being a Double and then on my next days off we're going to Portsmouth followed by Selsey with Mark's family, hotel and caravan all booked and paid for then I'm working right up to the wedding.. Mark's actually a Late shift on the day and needs to get Leave!

I just feel bad that I won't be able to help her with anything as won't have a day free, Mark said we're not cancelling anything as if they want to throw everyone into disarray then they have to be prepared to do it themselves (harsh I think!), her Mum is not happy at all, however I'm now panicking as need to find an outfit and accessories and try and get my hair done aaaahh!

Quite funny really but am worried for them how they're going to get everything done in time.

Was planning on losing more weight before the planned date and her Mum has had a gastric bypass as she wanted to lose at least 5 stone for the day.. Doesn't look like that's going to happen! X

How exciting though... You'll have time to find an outfit, and look fab because of the weight you have lost already... Fab news and enjoy your trip to Devon...xx
 
Oh wow!!! That is hectic. Please don't stress. Mark is right to some extent, it's on them for springing the date on you so you wont be able to halo as much as you might have liked.

As for wanting to lose more weight - its the bride everyone will be looking at and you'll look fab in your new outfit :)

3 weeks :eek: but Mark is right, they've booked it so leave them to the organising, have a lovely few days away xx
