Helen's quest for good health!

sorry to read that
my food has been off the rails since friday I have NO idea what is wrong but like you NOTHING is hitting the mark

lets hope we can get our starting the week heads on for tomorrow and start the week afresh :):)

Hi guys, works been busy and having a nightmare with cars this week and seeing we both do 80 mile round trips a day it's caused a bit of grief. Also did a 17 hour shift yesterday, just feel like I've had no time to pop on. I've got another Late shift today and then three days off so roll on 10pm tonight.

Mainly been sticking to plan but not writing down so gone over syns I'm sure as had a few naughty things! X

tiredness will lead to a few naughties creeping in and with your schedule I would be very surprised if you are not tired

how much of your three day weekend will be spent catching up on sleep?
I hope you have time to enjoy the lovely weather we are supposed to have

I'm so tired I feel like I could cry, have to leave in 1/2hour as my new tyre hasn't come in this morning so will have to drive again with the spare which is limited to 50mph, sounds quite fast but not when you do 80 mile round trip to work each day and last night people were itching to overtake me.

I have a shadow again this evening which I'm really not in the mood for! On the plus side my top boss "tapped" me (whatever that means!) and said Duty Manager is coming out on a secondment and he wants me to go for it.. It was a great complement but I couldn't do it, felt on cloud nine that he thought I could though!

Will try and catch up with some sleep this weekend, no plans as we were hoping to get tickets to Paralympics but they haven't materialised so not sure what we're doing.. Get a weekend off and no plans! X

Thanks you so much xx

Well my first chance of a lie in and struggled to get back to sleep after Mark got up at 5.15am so have dozed on and off and still lying in bed reading, I'll get up soon though.

A DM was talking to me yesterday and he said that they were soon going to be looking for people to act up as DM and said I should do it (have they been talking lol?!).

It's tempting when it does happen but I'm too scared, I know people are always asking for my help but I don't want to be chief decision maker, if I'm not 100% sure of something I check with the DM and that ultimate decision would come down to me if I was acting up. The safety of the aircraft would hang in my balance and also people have been there far longer than me and I'm sure know far more than me so would be weird managing them. But he did say I'm very thorough and good at my job (oh boy did I feel good when he said that!). On a plus side you learn to do things that we don't do now such as creating positioning flights etc so it would be interesting.. I'll see when it actually happens how I feel then!

Trying to be totally on plan today but just cannot think what to have for dinner tonight... X

Sounds like a fantastic oppurtunity of you feel like you can do it when the time comes around go for it :D

It's understandable to be scared of taking on a bit more than you think you can chew
Helen but it certainly sounds as if the powers that be think you can do it
I'd say go for it you can always do it with a time limit on it so if your not happy in say
6 months you can relinquish the role and vice versa

Thanks girls, sounds like it'll just be acting up for the odd day here and there until they decide whether they want to bring the job out again just whilst covering holidays and training etc. I might prefer that as one day here and there isn't so daunting, especially having chatted to my mum on the phone this morning so we'll wait and see if it ever happens!

I've skipped the gym again today, my hips really playing up but I'm thinking it always seems to do that when I do Double shifts so I'm guessing I should try and make time to walk around during the day so I don't seize up.

Just standing in the sun catching up on here whilst I get my tyre changed, nice to have 10 mins when I have the perfect excuse to do nothing and not feel guilty about it! X

Hiya Helen... Sorry I am a bit late today, I went out for breakfast and shopping, then had my hair done... Usual style but a bit shorter now my face is not as fat I think its time to get a bit funky... I think if the powers that be think you can do it, you can, but I know where you are coming from... I walked away from the pharmacy because it scared me to think that I only had to make one mistake and that could affect someone's health or life... Go with what makes you happy, but take on board that other people think highly of your abilities, even if you don't take it on that has got to be a positive...xxx Have a great Friday...xx

Just popping in to say hello Helen
Have a nice Saturday x

Thanks Kally x

Having a lovely Saturday and oops not SW friendly, although it did start that way!

We've been to Woburn Village Festival, had a lovely look around the antiques, didn't buy much as really don't know what we're looking for so just bought a few bits we liked, our house is modern though so won't be on display.. We can dream one day of a lovely country style kitchen kitted out with all the lovely old antique kitchen items....

Had mussels which we've never had as a takeaway before, we've always sat down, they were absolutely gorgeous with a lovely hunk of French bread, mmmm delicious and worth it and before anyone kills me... Pizza tonight! It's been months since we've had one and hubby really wants it which is unusual for him.... Think I may end up regretting this! X
