Help needed for 1st day......

I haven't got anything in as bf decided that he wanted a snack at about 4:45 and he ate my ham and cheese! *sigh*

I have just made him a tuna sandwich (see i am nice!!!!) so I had some of that (without mayo) in my salad and doing an egg as well and some boiled potatoes to bulk it up a bit. Haven't had salad in a while so I don't mind the change. Plus ill be having a big steak for dinner. I still have syns to use and a hexa so once this is cooked I'm having a cuppa and Special K biscuits :)

it's funny i always seem to make dinner and lunch for us both even when we're not speaking....god if i didn't it would say so much more! hehe

anyway, your lunch sounds good for tomorrow - salad's are nice when you've not had them for a while. i tend not to take them to work cos i don't have a lunch hour so it needs to be something quick but i have the odd one at home where i can sit down and enjoy it properly...and not be paranoid at the smell of the boiled egg!

getting weary now so should do the sensible thing and head to bed.....when will i ever learn!x
 
I always make him lunch if I am making it for myself but if I'm not then he will just get what I can chuck in a bag in the morning (fruit, crisps, cereal bar etc) or make it himself. Obviously he just makes do with what I make!

I put some salad cream on the salad as it looked a bit dry/bare so will use a few syns for that. Plus crisps are 6 and ill use some for butter on my jacket potato later on.

I have two weeks til a hen do so I'm determined to stay on plan til then and get straight back on plan after it as well. There will be lots of food and booze so ill give myself a day off and try to go straight back on when we go for breakfast

What's your plan today? Pork??
 
lol...yep.....can't say im overly excited about it but it's defrosted and it was really only taken out to make space in the freezer hehe

the hen night is a good target for now....you'll enjoy the day/night off plan and then feel better when you go back on track after you've nursed your hangover lol.

how come when i don't need to get up for anything specific, and the alarm isn't set for school, i toss, turn and see every hr...but yet tomorrow when i need to be up 1st thing, i'll be knackered....so annoying!

what salad cream do you use? i love salad cream but it's more syns than e/l mayo so i don't bother *please say it's some miraculously low syn one you use* lol x
 
Unfortunately I do not have any magic salad cream lol - its not even the light one as my bf moans that it doesnt taste the same and I ran out of my light one. It's 2.5 syns per tablespoon so I have used 5 syns already today, then 6 for crisps and leaves me with just enough for mu butter later tonight.

I am trying to manage my money a little better at the moment so when i next draw some money out of the bank i will go and buy another extra light one. (Heinz is one syn per tbsp of the extra light one). I am trying to stick to £50 a week for bits and bobs while I try to repay some bills and overdraft. I have about £5 to last me til Friday to stay on track lol.

I'm thinking I might start recording my losses like you do in my signature - hoping that will also keep me on track lol

Things are a bit better with bf this morning since we spoke a little bit last night. He seems to be a bit more cheerful today which in turn means I am less stressy with him.
 
aww that's good then....makes things easier all round and feeling better about things means we feel better - our mood as a whole etc.

i'll give the salad cream a miss for now, i've been using the e/l choices honey and mustard dressing from tesco on salads sometimes for 1/2 a syn per tbsp. it's nice and i've thought about making pasta with chicken and bacon and some of that stirred through.

eugh! i cannot be ar$ed today...need to give myself a shake. quiches are in the oven, eggs are boiled so it's dahl next then soup although i forgot to get onions on sunday so had to use a wee bit less in my quiche so i had enough for the soup.

not eaten yet and going to try some sweet cous cous with fruit etc and see what it's like x
 
Ooh I've never thought to try fruit in couscous. Was it nice?

I've just had my lovely salad and I really enjoyed it for a change. I wouldn't do it all the time - esp with salad cream - but I did enjoy it!

I've got some fruit left to eat later on :)

How's the cooking coming??
 
cooking's come to a halt for a bit....just got the sauce to make for the pork then bung that in for a while.
glad you enjoyed your salad...i was gonna have one too but my soup is EPIC! OH is home early so got some smash scones in the oven (altho i stupidly put 2 eggs in instead of 1 cos i halved the mix again) so we're gonna have those with some soup and there's still some for me to take to work tomorrow.

the cous cous was nice...wouldn't have had it on it's own but the main taste was the fruit mixed thru and some yog i added so it just kinda bulked it up. i used the last 50g and made it up cos thought i could have a few mouthfuls tomorrow before work?

i just did 50g of cous cous, 100ml of boiling water and some vanilla essence, covered it til the water absorbed then fluffed it up and added a tsp of sweetener, made my fruit salad, mixed some thru then some yog and mixed it all in....different and good that i still got the superfree in :D x

I'm going to try a red day tomorrow for a change. I seem to do more green these days and I think ill enjoy it. (I feel a bit out if practice) Planning on salmon with roasted vegetables and salad (maybe a few syns on coleslaw) but ill need to buy a BNS to bulk it up a bit. Then I can use some of that for making my soup as well. I have missed having that prepared this week so I must also make some more at the weekend for next week.

BNS is something i never buy, i've only ever bought it once to make a soup and after nearly losing my fingers trying to prepare the fekin thing lol, i wasn't overly impressed!

hope you enjoy your dinner tonight, we had the pulled pork with a stuffed pepper (my 1st time) and i couldn't finish it all. was the same at lunch with the soup so still have both my HE's to have.

today is obviously a day where i'm not overly hungry....and then i'll have the random days where i seem to be hungry all day!

weird things these bodies aren't they lol x
 
Yeah it's typical that some days you leave all your food and others you can't get enough.

I have a rather boring lunch today of chilli chicken, lettuce and cucumber lol. I forgot I didn't have much salad stuff in so ill buy a pot of cherry tomatoes on the way to work to add some flavour lol. Actually bf was meant to make it last night but forgot so had to do it half asleep this morning :) at least he actually got up and did it which is not what usually happens lol.

He had just told me that the chicken is shop bought so I think it would be wise to count a few syns for the chilli sauce....probably only 2 or 3 because I only have one leg.

I also realised that because I couldn't have a sandwich today due to the white bread situation, I still have a hex to use, so can include a sweet
Potato in my roasted veg with the salmon tonight so pleased about that!!

Dinner was nice last night and no talk of work thankfully lol. I literally just came home, showered and went straight to bed - these early nights are the only thing keeping me going at the moment. Can't wait for a lie in on Friday!!

up bright and early for work...soup's heated and in my flask and fruit's prepared for me to mix some cous cous and yog in and have just before i leave the house.
i've got a small yog with 17.5g oats in it so i can have that as my 2nd breakfast...2 mini ones or at least something before i leave for work then in a wee while seems to work better for me cos i don't have the time for something proper before i leave...or when i get to work.

have a weird lunch too-left over risotto and a spoonful of last night's savoury rice (from the stuffed pepper) cos there wasn't that much. can't say i'm looking forward to it but have taken 3 crackerbread with some philly as my other half of the HEb so can have that with my soup or just whenever.

only up the once for me last night which was better....

glad to hear the meal last night was better than you thought :) x
 
is the yoghurt with oats in synned? I love toasted oats in yoghurt but I thought that I would have to use a hex or syns. I have some porridge oats at home and I usually sprinkle a little sweetener on them and toast it in the oven for a bit then add it into a yoghurt....mmmm!! Or use a few syns for honey every now and then as well.

I have had my cereal for breakfast - its such a small amount though but i love the choc weetabix minis so i guess its worth it. Once the box runs out I will prob end up getting normal weetabix or rice crispies (you get more of those for a hex as they are mostly air lol).

Planning a BBQ this weekend so I will need to get my planning head on. We are going to watch the men's Wimbledon final and have some pimms then do a BBQ with a couple of friends. I have chicken in the freezer for it and i might get out the rest of the BBQ sauce from the hunters chicken to coat some of them with. Then I will make burgers out of the mince i have in the freezer and I will get my friend to bring sausages for them all (i can have NuMe ones that are in the freezer if i really want to although i will prob just save the syns for pimms lol)

the oats was my HEb...just had a smaller amount of magic porridge. didn't know rice crispies were a HEb?? i do like them...a lot!

aww my lunch was a bloody disaster...the risotto was all mush once it was defrosted and the savoury rice just tastes naff on it's own so i ended up binning it! och well...lesson learned lol x
 
I don't think the official ones are but supermarket own brand ones as long as they are puffed rice are. I think you get about 42g for a hexb! Ill check in my book when I get in.

Such as shame about your risotto - mine usually works ok reheated. Maybe your microwave isn't strong enough or it needed longer heating through?! What did you have for lunch instead?

You have access to slimming world online don't you?! My friend has worried me about pitta bread so if you have access and don't mid checking for me, is it just WW ones you can have a as a hexb now? It used to be coop and asda ones as well but she said they aren't any more.

I am really proud of myself this afternoon or resisting a massive cake that was brought into work. We were all having tea and cake to celebrate a colleagues wedding this weekend and I just had a few strawberries instead :)
 
good on you! it's so awkward when there are goodies about. sometime i've seen me taking one - to be polite, then bringing it home for my OH...THAT'S devotion! lol

it's the ww pitta's from the 6 pack that are showing as a HEb now. when i 1st started the plan, there weren't any pitta's but you can have one of them. which reminds me, i have a packet in the cupboard.
i think a few people still have the other ones cos they've said there's not much difference and asda haven't changed the recipe but i've only gone for the ww ones....cos that's all that's ever shown since i've done it.

i didn't heat the risotto...that's prob where i went wrong lol. so i ended up with my soup and crackerbread with philly which done the trick.

dinner tonight was meat free burger, sw chips and beans - quick and nice for a "basic" dinner then we rushed out the door. i've prepared my fruit for the morning so just need to mix the last of the cous cous through which lasted me longer, this morning, than i thought!

i've still got a HEb to have so gonna have an alpen light just now crumbled over fruit and a hifi light when i sit down later with some crisps of some sort ;) x
 
Ahh that's a neat trick. Although if I brought it home I would have to avoid the temptation for longer lol.

It's good to know which ones I can have so I don't go wrong. I want to stick to it as closely as possible. I don't understand SW sometimes with taking things off the list but I trust that its because they are doing research and not because they get a giggle out of confusing us lol.

Next time you make a risotto and have some for lunch just pop it in the microwave for 2 mins then it will be fine! :) glad you had something else you could eat though lol.

God I loved hifi bars when I went to class I used to buy all the choc ones I could lol. I am on 8 syns so going to have a penguin with a nice cuppa during my programme at 9 :)

i'm just heading to get teeny ready for bed.

are there no classes near you that you could go in and buy the bars? lets face it...when it's so busy and people are getting weighed, waiting to get weighed or buy stuff...who would really know you weren't a member...or that you weren't a member but just at a different class?

that's what i think i'd do if i do go it alone and i wanted some bars.
in fact, there are people selling them on ebay for ridiculous prices which made me think...hmm....wee money maker for me if i bought extra?x
 
It's the apprentice on Wednesdays but only two weeks left I think. Stayed up a bit later then usual last night and I'm exhausted today :( at least I can sleep a bit longer tomorrow as I'm working at home.

Don't they get you to pay for class when you buy from the shop though?! It would be a bit embarrassing if they caught me lol. I don't know why slimming world don't sell stuff on their website and generate more profit anyway. Seems silly to me although I suppose its a reason people go to classes.

How much do they sell on eBay for compared to class?! You could prob pop into your usual group and buy the hifi bars since you know them well?! They prob wouldn't mind.
