Help needed for 1st day......

Yeah I'm wearing a black dress lol. How embarrassing lol :) I've got a big splodge right at the top on the right by my shoulder lol

Toothpaste is the worst - I do mine before I get dressed lol.

I'm doing EE tomorrow as I think I'll be eating out with work. I might try and do a quick menu check online tonight to prepare myself. I'm going to split my hexb and have one cereal bar and one slice of bread with my soup. Might make some scrambled eggs for brekkie or fruit and yoghurt.

I'm popping into the shops on the way home but forgot to bring a shopping list with me (typically) so I'm now trying to plan in my head what to buy lol. I def need fruit.....and some treats as I've only had 4 syns so far :)

you sound like you've got it all planned....and what a shame on the yog dollop hehe

i'm getting hungry and still have a HEb...not sure what to have with it....hmmmm...decisions....x

I bought some wafery things for treats and can have 2 for my remaining syns :) can't wait!!

My dinner is taking ages to cook though so by the time I eat it will be time for shower and bed lol

What did you use your hex for?!

what wafer things?
i had a a hifi light and a weetabix.

had some strawberries chopped up with yog and crumbled the weetabix through...first time and it was ok actually....a different tasting kind of mush lol x

I bought a pack of single stick Time Out bars so I had one of those for 5 syns and another thing which is called 'Cadbury wafer snack' which wasn't actually that wafery but still nice and a good amount of chocolate for 4.5 syns.

I've got bacon and egg for breakfast today - just need to heat up the bacon that I pre cooked and scramble my egg in the microwave. I decided against the soup as it all separated when it defrosted and looked awful. So I'm going to pick up some sushi instead for a couple of syns or a packet of Ainsley Harriet couscous if I can find it.

I've brought fruit, cherry tomatoes, a yoghurt and crisps with me as well to eat throughout the day and two cereal bars for my hexb. (Hexa will be milk in my eggs)

What's on your menu today?!

your food sounds good today!
and i like those wafer things...have seen them before and bought them recently for my OH...but didn't have any myself.

today is another green...not as hungry today as i was yesterday lol, had rice with fruit and yog for breakfast, some soup and a hifi mid morning and left over diet cola quorn chicken and noodles for lunch.
did take a small pot of magic porridge for half my other B choice but not eaten it so far so will either have that soon then a hifi light to make that up later or maybe ditch the oats for something else?

not sure what i'm gonna have for dinner...gonna pick up something for my little one and OH then sort myself something later...it's been a hectic day and i hardly slept much last night so looking forward to bed time already hehe x

Sigh....well I lost my self control a bit last night. I had a work do and bf ended up coming to meet us so we stayed later than I intended - which meant more drinks than I intended!!! And a takeaway for dinner on the way home.

I was drinking vodka and diet coke so syns were less than they could have been as I wanted to go for cider. I had about 6 of them so ended up over syns by 9 as I'd already had 6 or lunch. Then takeaway was a kebab - I had a plain shish with chicken and salad and NO MAYO OR SAUCE so a few more syns for the wrap (prob about 6/7).
We had celebratory cake from the lovely cake shop I told you about as well but I resisted and had a hexb alpen bar instead.

So I'm disappointed that I didn't stick to my plan, however I am pleased with managing to stick to lower sun drinks and not splurging on cake and mayo with my food.

When we got home we were up ages trying to set up my new scales and weighing ourselves as well so I'm knackered today!

I am pleased to say that i got up early today and made myself a sandwich for lunch and got some rainbow trout out for dinner tonight which ill have with stir fried vegetables so on a red day. So straight back to it with no excuses and hopefully I will be able to manage the gain somewhat by eating well for the rest of the week!!

What was your dinner in the end yesterday?!

aww you'll be fine...and it sounds like it was a good night...i dunno how you passed on the cake for an alpen but well done!
the kebab you had was a great choice...can you imagine the damage if you'd gone for something else! lol

dinner ended up being the wee pot of magic porridge i'd made but hadn't eaten and a baked potato and cheese....while my OH ate a king rib supper and OMG those chips smelt so bloody good!! i soooo wanted it....and i'm not ever that fussed about chippy's! lol

another green today, i've got a sandwich for lunch...1st time in a while since i had a sandwich so i'm sure i'll enjoy it!x

:) I hate how they can just eat what they want and not care. That's how I want to be!! My bf had a king sizes cheese burger AND a sausage and chips!!

I think I'm most pleased about the kebab choir and the fact that I haven't let it turn into a few days off plan, which is something i do pretty easily sometimes.

Bf says he will help me try and get on track with some exercise (I got a bit upset in my tipsy state weighing and working out my body fat - which says I am obese!!!) can't see how that's possible but it is what it is as you would say. So this weekend ill do my DVD. It's really hard to fit in with all this overtime I keep having to do!

obese????

that's a bit sh1t...surely not? - your BMI (according to your stats) is under 25...is it not supposed to be between 18 and 25???

i hate when things like that upset us....grrrrr!x

It was my body fat content that it was showing obese for. I'm not sure the BMI and body fat stuff is working properly so will have a play later when I'm sober lol

How's your day?!

Lol. Well you do run around lots so take 10 mins to chill out and play your game :) a lot of my friends play it but I haven't caved in yet lol.

I'm working overtime tonight but hopefully will be away by about 7:30-8 so not too bad since I will need to cook dinner when I get home. Luckily fish doesn't take that long!!

booo to overtime...but yay to extra money eh!

don't cave...it's the worst thing i've ever done! lol.

it's off now so i'm off to prepare my OH's lunch for tomorrow and think about dinner etc x

Well dinner was lovely although late (as is becoming my habit unfortunately). I stir fried some green beans and mini corn and cooked the sea bass whole without anything on it - tastes awesome just as it is in my opinion.

Got a nice trout salad for lunch tomorrow as well lol :)

glad you enjoyed it, i've not really had much fish since i started sw other than tuna!
i like mackerel but always forget to look and see which one is free?

keep seeing the vietnamese pork things from m&s that people are having for lunch...6 wee wrap things with chilli sauce and carrot sticks for 2 syns...def want to try those!

here's aldi's super 6 this week if you've not seen...

oohh I havent had runner beans for ages - I always love them but think they are a pain to prepare sometimes. I'll def be popping by there at the weekend to pick up some fruit so will prob get the pork mince on offer as well. I havent used pork mince before but I could make some meat balls or something with it - and at that price its silly not to pick some up!

The vietnamese things sound yummy for so few syns! I guess you would need to be on EE for those? I'm on EE today and had my hexb cereal bars for breakfast with a nectarine. I made a massive salad for lunch to fill me up with trout (it was so yummy), a couple of boiled potatoes, the usual salad bits like lettuce and tomato and some soya beans. Quite looking forward to it actually. I'm going to use the leftover trout to make some fishcakes for dinner this evening and have some salad with that.

I brought some crisps (5 syns) and special k biscuits (5 syns) to eat throughout the day but I'm debating on saving the syns for later so I can eat something at the cinema (might buy a small bag of popcorn from the canteen at work to take there - only 5 syns I think....actually if its only 5 i can have it all lol)

I'm not sure what mackerel is free actually - fresh and canned obviously would be but I assume you mean the smoked fillets you can buy?! I spotted this on another thread;

Mackerel, smoked 28g

Green 5 Syns

Mackerel, smoked & peppered 28g

So it would be a good option on one of your red days I guess. This looks like its just generic but you might be able to find out more accurately where to get it by looking at your online syn thingy. I've never tried mackerel but its on my list of things to try. I wonder what I would do with it though?

Whats on the menu today then for you?

i'm gonna do red or EE today i think...going to make fruit salad after this for breakfast and i've taken pork chops out for dinner so they can fit in nicely with one of those plans.

thanks for posting that...i'm sure there's one from aldi that's free but hadn't thought of the canned stuff.

it's nice with salad or i used to have it with a baked potato so will have a look into it i think.
i've often seen the cod fillets in the freezer section and thought about getting them and coating them myself....or just having them on their own...but i've never really cooked fish any other way other than out the box and in the oven!
and i'm not sure i could get a bit from the chip shop and pick the batter off the make it free (how is that even possible when it's deep fried anyway?? lol)

you salad sounds nice...although i've never had trout! but i bet it's really filling!

what you going to see at the flicks?
you'll need to try that multi pack of popcorn from sainsbury's...then you can have 2 wee bags for 5 ;)

i get extra lean pork mince from asda but my little one likes pork burgers so i make then for him, sometimes just on a roll, sometimes cooked in gravy and if i was making it for us, i do it with lots of chunky onions, potatoes and veg...mmmm not had that for ages! x

The cinema we might go to is in the direction of Aldi so I might even be able to pop in tonight. We are thinking of seeing The Conjuring - its only released today though so I am worried it will be fully booked....not sure whether to risk it or book it. Trouble is that I don't know what time bf will finish work and I forgot to bring my phone with me today so I can't call him and check grr. There are about 4 cinemas locally so I guess we could chance it?!

A friend of mine coats her own fish - she does it for her kids using salmon fillets cut into bite sized chunks, dipped in egg and then dipped in crushed cornflakes lol. She says that it freezes really well and makes a crunchy 'fish finger' type of thing which the kids love. I think making your own batter would be really simple. On EE you could use smash with some herbs mixed in or use a hexb of WM bread to coat it?! All I ever do is cook it on an oven tray or dish tbh - i either do a foil parcel or straight in the oven dish - just spray a little fry light on the dish/tray first to stop it sticking and then pop it straight in with some herbs sprinkled on the top.

I never understand about the fish and chip shop fish either - there is no way possible it is syn free! You could make your own fish and chips if you do the coated fish you were talking about, SW chips and get some mushy peas in lol. You could even make a curry sauce (there is a recipe on a thread called delicious meals minimum ingredients)

I've done some more mackerel searching for you and it seems that asda is the lowest on syns - the Aldi peppered one is 1.5 for 100g according to the forums...I also found this on another thread if you like it canned;

John West Mackerel Fillets in Tomato Sauce, canned, 100g Free Free 8
Sainsbury's Mackerel Fillets in Tomato Sauce, canned, 100g Free Free
John West Mackerel Fillets in Spicy Tomato Sauce, canned, 100g Free Free 8 1/2
Princes Mackerel Fillets in Rich Tomato Sauce, canned, 100g Free Free 10
Morrisons Mackerel in a Spicy Tomato Sauce, 125g can, 100g Free Free 10
Princes Mackerel Fillets in Spicy Tomato Sauce, canned, 125g can Free Free 12 1/2
Sainsbury's Mackerel Fillets in Spicy Tomato Sauce, canned, 100g Free Free 6

Ahh I must try to get to a big sainsburys to find those popcorn snacks - the little ones in london dont seem to have them :(

thanks for that..... :D

i'll need to send you a big food hamper of goodies from here hehe!

i suppose the controversial smash coating might be do-able for the fish?? but to be honest, if i was gonna do it, i'd see how many syns it was for proper breadcrumbs?

had fruit earlier, and some bacon, scrambled eggs, a sausage and plum tomatoes a wee while ago so still swaying for a red day i think...but of course, able to change it if i want ;)

not heard of that film but hopefully you's get in no probs.x

Well my new scales say 9 stone 10 this morning - think I like the old ones better lol :)

Green day for me today as I didn't prepare anything last night and I had some Ainsley Harriet couscous in the cupboard so that will do me for half a syn! You green as well?!

The conjuring was really good - we managed to get in no problem. It was really jumpy and there were people literally screaming through it lol. How was your weekend?!
