Help needed for 1st day......

mine was ok thanks, was busy sorting a whole load of stuff we were selling on ebay and just the usual shopping etc.

i did a red day fri, sunday and not sure whether to do one again today....i'm not at work so don't need to worry about spending the day cooking which means i won't be tempted to eat bites of what i'm cooking etc so red might be do-able?

what cinema goodies did you go for in the end then?x
 
Popcorn (bag from canteen at work at 5.5 syns) and a massive diet coke lol. Soooo wanted a huge bag of popcorn and an ice cream :(

I need to do a little shopping list this week and have a clear out in the fridge - needs a wash and refresh but no idea when I will get the time to do it!

i've opted for red and have just eaten the last of my "all day breakfast bake" thingy that i'd made yesterday. star week has just made an appearance so fingers crossed it stays down lol.
not sure what to expect for WI...last week i did 2 EE days, 3 green and 2 red. the green were last tues, wed thurs so hopefully less bloat nearer WI day which i thought might be good....before mother nature showed her face :(

i'm gonna try sw version of a big mac tonight..seeing as i did the big mac in a bowl, i'm thinking make a patty up with some finely chopped onion and gherkin then spread the wm roll with the thousand island instead of it being mixed thru the burger then topped with lettuce, onion and gherkins....hope it'll be ok.

it still leaves me with 1 HEb which i can either half and have some "chips" or just use it at lunch time...will see how i feel to be honest x
 
Your Big Mac dinner sounds lovely. I have no idea what to make but it is likely just to be SW chips by the time I get home!!

I've had my couscous and quavers and also some fruit and cheese triangles for hexa but I'm sooooo stuffed!! I still have a yoghurt, 2 cereal bars and a pack of Special K biscuits with me to eat!! Not like me - usually I eat more at lunchtime but I'm not forcing it down lol.

How u feeling with star week?! As bad as usual?!

so far...i'm not too bad....frightened to answer really in case i tempt fate lol.

i'm hungry though...and not sure what i want. if i'm having a roll at dinner time, i don't really know that i want to have bread now for lunch...and i'm kinda tempted to make the burger for my OH and just have the big mac in a bowl for myself...then that frees the HEb up straight away?
it's getting late though so i need to decide!x
 
If you are feeling bloated and rubbish then do it in a bowl. I am def going to give it a try - if I can find a small jar of gherkins anywhere!! (They all seem to be massive jars!!)

I still have a hexb and hexa left so ill have cereal bars on my way home!!)
 
i like the jar of baby gherkins asda do...but i bought a jar of the bigger ones from aldi last week...yeah it's a big jar but they were only 60odd pence.

i had 3 wm crackerbread with philly light and a boiled egg so only 1/2 a HEb.
i'll take an alpen light for after WI but think i'm gonna have it in a bowl and keep the other HEb for something else. it's not that i'm feeling too bloated...i'm just not that fussed on having the roll and i'm hungy today but haven't made any red day friendly snacks so could do with using it on other things - and you know how i always half my allowance for a bit of this or that lol x
 
The thing is that I don't like gherkins so a big jar would be a massive waste. Bf eats them in a Big Mac but wouldn't be fussed otherwise so I would rather a little jar.

I've just had my cereal bars so I may need the Special K biscuits later after all depending on how late I work!!
 
what time do you think you'll get away?

the asda jar is a smaller one..but there's loads in it so to be honest, it'll be a waste for you's.
i've started putting them in my salad now to use them up.

0.5 off for me tonight...can't grumble after 4.5 last week and TOTM today.
just had the big mac in a bowl so still have 1 HEb left...result! ;) lol x
 
Lol. I'm on my way home now so not too bad a night. I have some special k biscuits left still ao i may have a nibble on the train home.

Tomorrow will prob be a later one so I'm gonna get bf to cook and ill heat it up when I get back I think. He will cook SW if I ask him to I think. Something easy like pork chops and mash.

Well done on the loss - especially with TOTM which I know is hellish for you. Enjoy your hexb and your treats :)
 
After a rather rushed morning I am ready to go lol.i am on EE today so it's fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, WM roll with ham, cheese and salad, cherry tomatoes and crisps for lunch and some extra fruit and Special K biscuits for snacks later on before I go home.

Pork steaks out of the freezer defrosting ready for bf to cook later.

Phew!!!
 
i was rushing but still managed it thankfully. I am SO tired this afternoon though and eaten everything I had with me so not sure what I can do about that without wasting some syns. I've had 9.5 so far but want to save some as I know if bf makes mashed potatoes he will forget I can't have butter in mine!

Hmmmm...maybe I will just stick to cups of tea and get some fruit when I finish work!!

What have you decided food wise then?

I told bf that I was going to get gherkins to do big macs last night and he said just do it without and he wouldnt be bothered either way - so that solves that problem. He also said he wanted chilli with the mince but I said no - i bought buns specially for tomorrow to have burgers so burgers it is!!

We can have chilli anytime - and do often - but bf doesnt like it very much the SW way. He likes using a jar or dolmio or similar sauce in it which is so high in syns!! I might get some passata and try making the SW ragu to go in it to give more flavour and more of a sauce. That might keep him happy :) I will also need to get some more mince though lol
 
i kinda miss the jars of dolmio etc....i've never checked the syns but you know what i'm like...i tend not to syn food through out the day if i can avoid and use them for goodies!

had rice, fruit and yog for breakfast and a poached egg on toast with beans and some fruit salad for lunch.
thinking quiche and chips or something for dinner..not too sure yet.

funny how you weren't too hungry yesterday and had stuff left but it's the opposite today...funny ol' things these bodies are at times eh lol x
 
yeah it does make me laugh lol. I think I just need to get back into a routine with sleep - and NOT work overtime every day! Today will be the last day this week I think since it will be a bit later than yesterday.

Your lunch sounds really yummy - and i dont even eat baked beans lol! :) I really enjoyed my lunch - its a while since I had a roll/sandwich for lunch so I think I might so that again for tomorrow! Although I will need to do a red day then so I can have 2 hexb and another roll with my big mac :D

I'm trying to work out a shopping list for Aldi when I next go (tomorrow or thursday). I dont need very much but I want to go and have a proper look at their meat and store cupboard basics......like if they have a version of super noodles and passata for example. Have you ever had their yoghurts? Do you know if any of them are syn free?
 
i know the 4 pack of forrest fruits fat free (pro biotic type version) are free(think they're 99p)....not sure about any of the others and i know their version of muller lights aren't free - unfortunately.
i tend to just stick to fruit and veg from there, fresh chickens, their passatta, wee tins of sweetcorn and dried egg noodles but i do get their chive cottage cheese cos that's free...and i think i read somewhere on here that the pineapple one is too?

i dunno about their supernoodles etc tho? x
 
Someone had started a new aldi thread and says that flavoured noodles are 2.5 syns. Tbh I would rather use plain and then a stock cube or some herbs/spices in the water to save on syns. I might give the yogurts a go - and the cottage cheese will be good for quiches if its cheap. (Not sure I will risk cheesy scones again lol)

I did like their bacon last time I went so ill def pick some of that up too :)
