Help needed for 1st day......

Yeah I know - no wonder I'm knackered! There is an end in sight though so that's probably why I am doing so much at the moment. Once the job is done there will be no more overtime pay lol. Although at least I won't be as tired then!

Well done on the loss hun :) 2.5 stone is brilliant! Did you ever think you would be able to lose that much when you first started? Are you going to carry on with gold plan? Maybe that might help gain week (worth a try maybe?!)

How were the walkers? I bet it was nice after so long not having 'proper' crisps!! My syns yesterday were the quaver type crisps from aldi and a crunchie. Was soooo worth having something high syn for a change lol.

I'm on green today - might be going for usual dinner out tonight but ill decide later. If I go then ill have the five bean chilli for 4.5 syns. I also have crisps (3) and Special K biscuits (5). If I don't go for dinner ill have SW chips in a pitta for 6 syns :)

chips in a pitta....never had that but it sounds good. and if you end up going for dinner, you'll still have lots left for goodies - yay!

the crisps were good, nice to have a pkt of proper crisps as you say and even though i was well within my syns, i won't have them in the house cos it's just too tempting for me i think.

i'm gonna do EE today i think...1st time in ages but it's more cos i only took chicken out the freezer and no sausages or anything that i would be able to have for breakfast or lunch. was planning diet cola chicken or something like that for dinner and i suppose i could do red....but not sure what i could have with that instead of noodles? suppose i could have chicken and bacon salad....hmmm...not too sure x
 
Morning!! Well I ended up going for dinner and not doing any overtime. I went for the 5 bean chilli which was nice enough but I don't think I would have it every week. I like the chilli egg noodles there too (1 syn without chicken and 10 syns with!!!!) so I have a couple of options to rotate now.

Feeling really tired again today and have to work at least an hour or so late so bf will be on cooking duty again. Red day today so we have salmon for dinner. I'm going to top it with extra light Philly (hexa) and oven cook it and have it with sautéed potato (hexb) and veggies.

How's things with you today?
 
now i don't even like salmon...but that sounds yummy!

i'm ok thanks....nothing to report from here really other than i really enjoyed my EE day yesterday seeing as it had been a while lol.

1 syn for the chilli egg noodles sounds good...stuff the 10 for some chicken though! its scary how many syns are in things when you know if we made them ourself they'd be free!
i had chilli chicken noodles for dinner last night....so quick and easy and full of superfree too ;) x
 
I think I'm going to attempt to make a sweet chilli chicken noodle thing Monday night as I have a friend coming round for dinner - she is on SW too. 10 syns is so not worth it ( I could take my own chicken to add to it for free hahahaha)

I'm having a sandwich for lunch which will be a nice change. Bf made it for me last night so ill have to see if he remembered no butter and no salad creame lol. If not ill have to use some syns!!

Tomorrow and Friday will be EE for me because im eating out so I might try for red Saturday and Sunday. If its nice weather I could get the BBQ out.
 
i've not been to a bbq for aaaages - it's colder here now though so think we've had our lot of the nice weather? :(

what did your OH make for your sandwich?

before i did sw, i used to have a smoothie every morning using a splash of milk, an apple, a banana and a yog and ice cubes. i really liked it and i really fancy one today...but i refuse to syn for the fruit being mushed up.
i get that we might consume more of something when the fruit is blitzt (eg fresh orange etc) hence the reason to syn stuff... but surely if i was only using 2 pieces of fruit it would be ok??
when i make my fruit salads i'm having banana, strawberries, blueberries, melon, tangerine and sometimes more all chopped up!
what do you think? x
 
ok obviously SW says you have to syn blitzed up fruit so this is only my opinion and what I would do - (nice little disclaimer there lol) - I would NOT syn that!

Especially if you are only having one shake and using two bits of fruit. If you were going to drink two or three of these and have it every day I would advise you to syn it but as a one off I dont see why you should. I would say go for it!!! Think of it as a little treat that is syn free!! Great idea for a summery breakfast.

We have BBQs all the time - bf loves them! Its good for SW as long as you are prepared as well. I have some massive ribs in the freezer and some NuMe sausages. BF can have normal sausages and I can make up some burgers mmmmmmmm. Big bowl of salad and steer clear of the potatoes and its perfect for a red day! (or EE if you want carbs too) But the trouble is the weather is not meant to be good this weekend (just checked on my phone) so will have to play it be ere!

My sandwich is ham and cucmber I think - nothing exotic. But I brought some cherry tomatoes and chopped up hexa of cheese to eat alongside it, some crisps (3 syns) and an apple!
 
well that sounds nice...and the best part is that you didn't make it yourself lol.

i used to love the smoothies and having one every morning meant i'd had at least 2 bits of fruit and using a different flavoured yog meant that it tasted a wee bit different every time.
i did it for about 2 years...and at xmas, my OH got me a new smoothie maker and i was like...eh, i'm starting sw so that was that...it's never been used lol.

i refuse to syn 7.5 for that...do you know how many wee goodies i could have for that! pmsl x
 
I totally agree about the smoothie thing! SW say th reason for synning is that fruit isn't as filling when mushed/mashed/squished/juiced so therefore we eat more of it, taking away the point of superfree. I totally get that. Completely agree.
HOWEVER if you would eat, say, one banana and one portion of strawberries- what does it matter how you eat them?! They don't absorb more calories by being mushed!! Lol xx

that's exactly what i think amy...like, if i was making banana on toast, technically i'd need to slice it on...but before sw, i might have mushed it all up and my thinking is - what difference does it make if i'm still only going to use 1/2 or 1 banana!

i don't have more than 1 banana a day and never really have an apple so if i had the smoothie, i wouldn't then continue to have another banana throughout the day...and having the apple would be a different piece of fruit added for that day.

i totally get the fresh orange thing, or apple juice etc....cos you could easily drink gallons of the stuff!x
 
I get juice etc as well - they could also have added sweetener etc but fresh fruit is fresh fruit in my opinion. Lol

So the sarnie had butter an mayo!! But at least he tried lol. Bless him!!

So now I need to recalculate syns for the day so I don't go over!
 
lol...both???!!! i bet you've told him a million times too lol..but as you say...bless him ;)

been on the phone most of the day trying to get insurance quotes....fekin nightmare - it dements me and always seems such a hassle!
the last guy i spoke to was a fraction off of getting a mouthful from me....manners cost nothing and i was honestly close to telling him what i thought of his customer service skills!!

Ah how awful! Just go online to compare the market and let them do it all for you. That's what I do! You get a few emails but you can just ignore them if you aren't interested. Sod having to call up different people and having them be rude to you!!

Yeah I have told him tons of times - I even told him before I went to bee but oh well lol. No idea what to do for lunch tomorrow. Maybe some tuna pasta for a change. I can use some FF yoghurt instead of mayo maybe?!

dinner has ended up being baked potato with cottage cheese and beans...and i'm just eating it the now.
hadn't planned anything and not long in ...my boys had my fav sausage rolls, chips and beans....oh how i wanted a wee bite of one...but i didn't ;)

yay...go me! lol

did you get e/l mayo for yourself, cos it's worth 0.5 or 1 syn and i think the aldi e/l one might be the same? i know you mentioned before you didn't have any?x
 
I think the one I've got is from aldi actually. It's the light one. So is that one syn per table spoon?!

My dinner was lovely. I'm feeling the need for something sweet now though so I'm gonna have a cuppa :)
 
Oh god! Get yourself some treats quick!!! I've just got out the bath and getting ready to tuck down into bed!

Ended up with sarnies for lunch instead of tuna pasta as I was missing the key ingredient...pasta lol. But this time no mayo or butter so no wastes syns lol. Tomorrow is EE as its pizza express for dinner. Need to make sure I have enough food with me so I don't use up syns. Lots of fruit and yoghurt I think!!
