Bf has agreed to check the pack for me and get them out when he gets back home. He will prob be back already actually as he was finishing early.

I'm not too bad today - feeling tired so don't want to work too late tonight. Hopefully bf will cook my dinner for me again too :)

I had a sneaky weigh....I know I shouldn't!! It was showing 9st 8.5lb so 1.5 off. Hoping I can get a bit more than that though as I have decides to drive to the BBQ tomorrow so I can't be tempted into drinking too much. Taking some Linda mc sausages with me and some home made SW coleslaw :)

i'm hungry today...but it's cos i've not really had anything "proper" all day....just a bit of this or that and although its all been on plan...i know that with hunger, comes me wanting this that or the next thing!

I have days like that sometimes. Tomorrow I have a friend coming over for lunch so I'm going to make chicken salad (maybe with some of the coleslaw) I'm going to try and save my hex and syns for the BBQ as best as I can!

I'm going to try making the hummus tonight so I may snack on that and carrot sticks lol

well, dinner's been had....slices of roast gammon, carrots and sprouts with the tiniest wee drizzle of the maple sauce stuff that comes in the wee pack...it was yummy!x
 
Hey. I tried the roasted red pepper pâté thing today - it was ok but not something I will make regularly. I toasted up a WM pitta for 6 syns to have with it and it was a nice snack.

Now I'm about to use the rest of my syns on a crunchie or minstrels since I have 9 left!! Ooohhh decisions decisions lol.

How has your weekend been?!

i had a daim bar on fri night...so worth 7.5 cos i broke it all up and savoured it! lol.

weekend's been ok...quiet and haven't really done anything much to be honest...shame it's monday tomorrow already though!

Well bf bought both so I had minstrels last night and brought the crunchie with me to eat today.

I had a friend round for lunch Saturday and made a warm chicken salad. Saturday night was the BBQ and I took some SW chilli burgers with me...although as soon as I arrived someone brought me a burger that had already been cooked in a white bun with salad and cheese. I ate it and just factored in syns - 7 for the roll and 2/3 for the burger (not sure if that is right or not but I guessed since they were BGTY ones.) then I also had a SW burger and salad later on plus stuck to diet lemonade most of the day.

I steered clear of the fresh homemade focaccia bread (now thats willpower), the dessert, chocolate and crisps. At one point we were gonna stay the night so I had about the equivalent of a small wine but then we didn't stay in the end. So all in all I don't think I did too badly considering the immense peer pressure I was under from the bday girl to drink! She was trying to feed me vodka shots lol.

Scales showing 9.7 this morning so that's a loss of 2.5lb. I'm on EE today so have chilli for lunch and roast for dinner. What's your day looking like?
 
They are like a point value for food that isn't free, super free or a healthy extra. You get 15 syns per day and the values vary depending if you are on red, green or extra easy. The number of health extras also varies depending on what kind of day you are having (2 of each type on red and green and 1 of each on EE).

There is a sticky for people new to the plan in the forum near the top of the page - have a look in there to get a better idea of the plan if you are thinking of doing it.

not sure what i'm gonna do today...for the last week i've done one day red, one green so i'm undecided just now whether to do an EE day?
took extra lean turkey mince out the freezer but not sure what to do with it...not really fancying burger so will have a think about what i can do with it for dinner...and that'll help me choose what day to do.

WI for me tonight and i'm keen to see if rotating my days from carb loaded/none will have done any good....really enjoyed having 2 HE's everyday...but i tend to use more syns thru the day (for sausages etc) on red days.

home bargains have a bag of chocolate orange segsation pieces for 49p just now. i worked it out to 2 syns for one so i've been having a couple of those at night and keeping them in the fridge means i get a nice wee taste for 4 syns which has been well worth it.

its 9.5 for a crunchie - seems a lot I know but my crisps are only 3 syns so I will be ok. Plus dinner is syn free and as I am working a bit late tonight I wont need anything else. I haven't had a diam bar in ages - yeah I like them too!

tbh - I think I would have preferred a WM roll and SW burger so I could have used some syns on the focaccia, crisps or chocolate lol. home made bread is what I would have picked if I could but its soooo bad - full of oil and badness (or should that be goodness!!!) But I didn't want to seem rude so just said thanks and ate it :)

What about doing a spicy stir fry with the mince? Or meatballs? I've never really used turkey mince - could you do a bolognese with it in the same way you would do beef mince?

I'll be interested to see how your WI goes after a gold week - I love having extra hex's on red and green days but it just depends on how prepared I have been lol. I tried the linda mc sausage things the other day and they were nice but I wouldnt have them all the time. I actually prefer the NuMe ones from morrisons AND those are less syns believe it or not. But those can only be had on a red day so these are a good compromise for the rare time when we have bangers and mash on a green day!

I am out to dinner thursday eve at pizza express so will need to do some pre-research as to what to have, and chinese friday night as well!!
 
good week planned by the sounds of it....pizza express might have a tomato pasta you could have....but it'll be hard if everyone around you has pizza!
what you gonna have for chinese? it's prob an easier choice than at pizza express, especially if you pick boiled rice/plain noodles?

i think i might just make the boys bolognese (i have dolmio in the cupboard) and i might do green today.
been busy and only just had some fruit salad with yog and i'm not too fussed about missing out on the proper spag bol...although when i smell it i might think differently lol.

i'd heard of the gold plan but not too sure how good it's meant to be...will see tonight and the gain week isn't due until next week so fingers crossed eh!

9.5 isn't bad for a full size crunchie...the daim's well worth 7.5 too

i've got a bar of cadbury's creations and a star bar which i've had for aaaages and not eaten yet. i think 12.5 is a bit much so have been keeping them...the creations bar's been in the fridge that long it'll prob be worth the syns if it takes me a while to eat lol.

we sat on saturday night with a film and some goodies...my lovely OH happuly munched his way through almost ALL of a kilo of dairy milk....i had my usual on plan goodies but boy i was jealous....polished halo lol x
 
well i know for chinese that chicken/beef in black bean sauce is 5 syns and chicken chow mein is 7 syns. so I wont be having a while portion of that - I can ask for plain rice I suppose (although I dont have any of the sauces etc from a chinese so might just skip rice altogether. Will have a browse of their menu and see what they offer. I've had a browse and egg fried rice is only 4 syns for 300g which isnt that bad actually!! Think I will survive :)

With pizza express the only pasta dishes I can find syns for are meat lasagne at 12.5 and spinach canneloni at 10.5. Everyone seems to post the salad and pizza syns but not the pasta dishes lol. I sometimes go for the oven baked stuff in there as its always yummy -they do an aubergine bake type thing which is tomatoey. Its called [h=4]Melanzane Parmigiana *[/h]Aubergine, béchamel sauce, mozzarella and tomato, gluten free breadcrumbs, grana padano (no pasta).

I reckon this will be the same as the lasagne syn wise???....hmmmm maybe I should just stick to the lasagne. The salads are astronomical syns wise unless you take out olives, pancetta, dressings etc and leave the dough sticks! Seems a lot of faff to me lol.

oooh i remember your star bar - god that has been ages hasnt it?! you could have it one evening though since you save up your syns. I have to say it was lovely to have a bit of 'proper' chocolate last night rather then a little wafer thing. Havent had the crunchie yet but looking forward to it this afternoon with a cuppa to wake me up lol.

OMG I could eat a whole kilo of dairy milk!! this was a regular occurance with me and bf in days gone by - a few times a week at times!! god i love dairy milk!!! you reckon you could take 6 syns off since they use so much milk and skip a hexa??? pmsl

i love dairy milk too so enjoy a freddo for 5 syns cos it's still giving me the cadbury's taste....

i'd try not to stress about pizza express....you know you're going, just enjoy what you have and try not to stress about getting things you "should" have instead of want.....is it there that they do a 500 calorie pizza? i know it's a lot but it might be the best choice out of all the other really synful choices?

i've opted for green today...so that's now 8 days of the gold plan...
had fruit salad and yog, some rice with berries and 3 wm crackebread with philly light. i'm hungry now but don't really want to eat too much (the usual WI story) but to be honest, day's i've had virtually nothing don't seem to give me any better results on the scales...just dunno what to have??x
 
Yeah they do leggara pizzas for 500 cals where you get salad in the middle but they are 24 syns so I think the best option is lasagne, aubergine bake or canneloni. Im not going to think about it anymore - I have done some research and now I will just choose on the day depending on what I fancy. They will all have cheese in so if I dont have my hexa in the day there will be even less syns!! :) some of the salads are as much as 40 syns if you have all the croutons, dressings etc. Isnt that insane!!!!

have you got any of your dahl loaf thing left? You normally make that on a Monday dont you? You could have a smidge of that?! Or tbh a nice cuppa sometimes fills me up plenty! You seem to have had lots of fruit and yoghurt so I wont suggest more of that lol - ooohhh you could make a few sneaky SW chips (say just one potato's worth) to tide you over til WI. Assume you will take the usual hexb alpen bar for straight after?

Yeah I'm not sure that your eating on WI day will be much different if you starve yourself....i suppose it might for some people but the point of SW is slow and steady so is it worth not really eating before to get, waht an extra half pound at best,off? Maybe I like my food too much lol. I also weigh in the morning so dont have that problem really - i just need to remember to do it as soon as I get up and dressed lol.

What are your losses adding up to now hun? I bet you are really noticing it now??
 
i need 1.5 to get the 2.5 stone off....and yeah i'm noticing now, especially in clothes but not so much when i get my OH to take my pic??? dunno what i'm looking for...my collar bone's def more noticable (loving that! lol) and getting comments if i've not seen people for a while but i'm more happy that i'm automatically cooking like this now...def a change of lifestyle and not a diet!

that's crazy for a salad....but you're right to just decide on the day.

i'm off work so haven't been doing my usual cooking...but i've just stuck a dahl loaf in the oven so had a spoonful of the savoury rice before i mixed it all up and i can get a bite of that once it's ready and maybe have some of that for dinner when we're back?

i hate getting weighed at 5.30...i'd much rather do it in the morning too but that's what time it's always been so at least it's consistent. and yep, old faithful alpen light for straight after class, still leaves me with 1 HEb and 1.5 HEa for the day...i love it when that happens hehe x
 
If I had to go to class to weigh I would have to do an evening too - it's not ideal as even if I leave work on time I would have to go to a 6:30 class and by the time it had all finished I would be dying of starvation lol. I guess I could always go to a London class but I'm happy enough as I am at the moment.

I've finished work now - only an hours overtime today as I'm popping to see my parents after dinner (which bf is cooking). I will prob do the same tomorrow and Wednesday - as I am doing it on my own at the moment I don't really want to stay too late. But I might come in Sunday and do a solid few hours - time and a half Sundays lol.

next week is due to be gain week - funnily enough, i always seem to get an award then gain and think ooh you'll want it back lol...but it sorts itself out ;)

i've bought myself a pkt of walkers cheese and onion so having them tonight for 8.5 syns seeing as i've not had any today...if i decide to have a choc orange segment then it'll be 10.5 for the day...which is what i usually average anyway so that's the plan....anyway lol x
