Help needed for 1st day......

Well I had red velvet cake which had butter cream in the middle and on top. I did a search and couldn't find it but for choc cake it's 6.5 syns for 28g which is nothing!! So I doubled it. I also had a spicy prawn thing of bf's plate at dinner for 1.5, butter in my jacket potato for 2 and a bigger than standard square of choc that was a present. So I think 19 is fair lol :)

I'm so tired. Had a hectic few seats and I know I'll be asleep on the sofa straight after dinner lol. Need to prepare for tomorrow though as I have a meeting all afternoon so need a filling lunch.
 
aw there's nothing worse when you can't be bothered...hopefully you get it all sorted then you can just chill out.

not had my fruit salad yet, just the soup a while ago and to be honest, i'm still ok?
maybe having those syns earlier was a good thing? lol.

it's all prepared though so once the showers and bed time stuff is done, at least that's there if i want it and i know we don't work in calories...but i'm sure it balances out really?

A kebab hahahaha! Bf really wanted one so I have gone for a plain chicken shish with loads of salad and no dressing/sauce. So IF I have the pitta it's 7 syns but I might not have it/have half of it.

Do you know how many syns the Linda McCartney Italian tomato sausages are?! I've just picked up a box for £1 in morrisons as they were cheaper than the rosemary and onion ones.

Got some treats in now and some primula to try the risotto ;)

Yeah i did have the pitta lol. I had half and then when I had finished the rest i was like...ahh sod it I have the syns left lol. So I'm on 11.5 for the day now and I might have an alpen bar with a cuppa before bed as a treat since I can't have a choc bar :)

I think realistically it will have to be at the weekend as I'm likely to have odd working hours the next few days. I might make it Saturday lunchtime and have a bit to try and then freeze the rest for lunches as bf doesn't like risotto :)

How you going without your treats?!
 
Back to normal today then eh? I had my alpen light so 14.5 for me in the end yesterday.

Today (EE) I have fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, ham and cucumber hexb roll for lunch with crisps (4.5), fruit and yoghurt. I also have a little bit of savoury rice to keep me filled up for my meeting. And I brought an alpen bar (3) for mid afternoon in case I'm falling asleep in my chair hahaha.

Bf is making dinner tonight - mustard chicken and potatoes. He wanted to do dauphinoise but I've told him that u just can't have that as it's soooo synful. So maybe just some sautéed potatoes or something and veg to go with it.
 
aw he sounds a good wee cook lol...your meals always sound so exotic compared to mine!

finished work early today so haven't eaten my lunch yet which was just a mugshot but now that i'm home, i can maybe have something better. saying that...it is after 2.30 so better decide soon or i'd be as well having an early dinner instead!
only used half a B choice so far so i've got lots of options or could even change my day too EE....

it's rained for days here which is rubbish....and not great for bored children who can't get out to play! lol x
 
so...since my last post, i still hadn't had lunch. so i decided i was gonna try the risotto and use 45g of the ham as half of a HEb choice...win win eh.

fail, it's just been binned...not my cup of tea.
yep, easy peasy, but it wasn't good and there was no way i was wasting my HE's on it.

at 1st it tasted like cheesy pasta (you know the red box) and then it just tasted...bleurgh.

god between this and my pizza base on sunday..i'm doing well eh lol.
god loves a tryer though...and try i am ;)

Aww you don't have much luck with risotto do you?! I remember the last one you had and tried for lunch you didn't like. I'm gonna give it a try since I bought the primula last night. But I love risotto so hopefully won't hate it as much as you did.

My day has gone to pot!! Was in a meeting all afternoon with my boss and HIS boss and the big boss brought out treats from Gregg's for us all to share......to congratulate me on a job well done. So I kind of felt like I had to eat it and now my syns are all shot! I knew that cake Tuesday was going to be a bad omen lol.

So I had a third of a yum yum (6 syns eeek) and about half a caramel short bread thing which from my research would be about 9 syns. Plus I had already had crisps for lunch (4.5). And bf's dinner will be 1.5 (I made him leave out the wine from the recipe to reduce the syns) *sigh*

That makes me on 21 today!!!!!! Plus the 4 I needed to make up on Tuesday. I had 3.5 'in the bank' so overall I need to make up 6.5 over the next few days.

Actually maybe that's not so impossible. I'll give myself 10 a day max for the next few days and pray all the extra sweet things I wouldn't normally have done come back to but me on the butt!!

What's for dinner in your house?!

right, so you were over your syns...but don't give yourself such a hard time. on a weekly total, you're well covered and like you say, it's do-able over the next few days.
just enjoy your dinner and start again tomorrow, you're always eating well and have lots of superfree without thinking about it so cut yourself some slack girl ;)

dinner ended up being sw chips, cheese and quorn chilli and it was bloody good!

i really like risotto and had made one successfully but think cos i had stuck some in the freezer, it didn't work well for lunch but i'm def gonna make it again if i can remember what i did the last time lol x
 
Nah I'm not giving myself a hard time - ill just make sure it turns out even.

Bf just offered me a Mars ice cream and I nearly caved thinking I could make the syns up tomorrow but didn't in the end! Ha! Now that feels like victory after the day I have had!!

No idea what to do for food tomorrow but suppose id better think about it and get sorted. Might go ee and have couscous for lunch with fish and stuffed mushrooms for dinner with some salad.

i got these warburtons Escape things today...it's a bag of baked pitta bread things and for 100cals a bag, they were quite good.
i got cheese and onion but they had vinegar ones too...they'd be especially yummy with dips etc - NOT that i'm considering getting dips lol, but they were nice for a change.

only 7.5 syns for me today cos i only had 1 celebration chocolate ;)

did you get your stuff for tomorrow sorted?x
 
I sorted it out this morning. I've got porridge for breakfast for a change as my hexb. Couscous (mushroom flavour) for lunch but didn't have time to chop up some SuperFree so I'm gonna try and pick something up from tesco or boots - they usuall do bags of cucumber sticks or carrot batons that I could have for a bit of SuperFree. I'll also pick up some fruit as bf used all my apples last night to make an apple crumble lol.

Dinner is basa fillets with stuffed mushrooms and salad or veg I think. I've still got courgettes and Aubergine to use up so ill prob do that for me and bf can have whatever he fancies - maybe mushy peas!!??

Hopefully today will be less busy than the rest of the week has been. We are meant to be out tonight but I'm going to drive - car has got its MOT tomorrow so I need to be up early. Which is a great excuse not so waste syns on alcohol lol.

EE for me today i think, although other than taking mince out last night, i've not really planned much else lol.

how come it's been so busy for you at work? is it the time of year or does it just go through phases of being like that for you?

It's because the piece of work im doing has attracted lots of attention in the media, from No10, cabinet office and parliament over the last week or so - you have prob seen it in the papers (about regulating tobacco products - banning menthol, banning packs of 10 cigs, regulating e-cigarettes etc!?)

So everyone wants briefings and meetings to explain it all with really tight deadlines to get everything ready.

But at least the other overtime had finished now or I'd be dead on my feet!!!
 
to be honest, i haven't...but that's cos i don't watch the news or buy a newspaper...i kinda just live in my own wee bubble which is good when it comes to avoiding hearing about stuff that will upset/infuriate me, but i must admit, there are times when people are like HOW do you not know that lol

but great news that your boss is pleased (hence the gregs lol) and that it's attracted attention....although i imagine it's not all positive! lol x
 
Nope not all positive but it's really interesting to see a good debate on the topic and great experience for me.

I'm still quite junior so getting exposure to these sorts of things is great.
