Help needed for 1st day......

i was just gonna post to see how today had gone for you.

sounds about right to me...was it white bread that you had with the sandwich?

my food has been pretty much identical to yesterday. had taken chicken out and was gonna be an EE day (or a green with the chicken for my HEb) but my fridge is super cold and it hadn't thawed properly so just stuck to green and had the last quorn burger from the pack....not moaning...i love them and i dipped my sw chips into a mcdonalds curry sauce thing which really felt like a treat lol. 2.5 in the whole thing, i didn't even have half so i'm counting it as 1 :)

had my smear earlier....done in 2 seconds and i chatted about sw the whole time...the nurse commented on how much weight i'd lost since she last saw me (over a year ago cos it's been another one i've been to in between) which was nice and i still maintain that for 2 seconds, it could save people's lives....

girls who might be reading and avoiding it like the plague...GO!! hehe

what's your plans for dinner? is it really 2.5 syns for 3 wee sweets???x

The sweets are 15 cals each so I just worked out that 45 cals would be 2.5?! Is that wrong?!

Not sure about dinner since I didn't get anything out before we went. I have eggs though so I might do a mushroom omelette using the last of my hexa. Then I can have one alpen bar as my hexb and still have syns on something.

The bread was whole meal for toast and sandwich so I'm ok there I think.

Bf has gone for steak with his dad but I couldn't be bothered really. Just fancy a night in on my own after today really. And I can get stuff ready for tomorrow without him getting under my feet lol

It was nice just chilling listening to the rain etc but boy did it rain!!! And it's still raining now! Miserable day down here today. I also had a rubbish nights sleep. Bf decided to put the lamp on and read before he went to sleep which woke me up and made me restless for the rest of the night. I've been awake since 5:30 :(

I'm doing a green day today so I've got porridge for breakfast, 3 bean chilli for lunch (hope it tastes ok) with crisps and a yoghurt plus 2 alpen bars which I may save til tonight.

Dinner is goin to be linda mc sausages (0.5 each) and mash with veg. Nice winter dinner.

What are your plans for the day?!

i had a restless night too...been getting what i think is palpatations (not sure...just feels like a funny heart beat) on and off for a wee while and i had it last night for hours so it was on my mind.
feeling shattered this morning and could've slept on for ages but we've been going to bed late cos we're off and it ends up a vicious circle.

going out soon and might pop to morrisons as i see they're doing cadbury funsize sweets for £1.50 a bag instead of £3 odd and although we shouldn't really be spending any money at all, i guess it saves in the long run cos those wee treats last me a while.

EE for me today...by hook or by crook i'm having some meat lol x

Ooh palpitations don't sound good hun. Get yourself off to the doctors!!

Just warming up my chilli for lunch. Not sure it will be spicy enough from a little taste to see if it is hot enough but would be nice on a jacket potato so next time I'll bring one of those as well!!

do you have access to a kitchen at work so you could pretty much heat anything up you take?

went to morrisons and got one of those treat size packs. they're so worth it and i could've got more but to be honest, i don't think they're all worth the syns.
the pack i got had 6 fun size crunchies and at 4 syns each, i think it's worth it more than the caramel which only has 2 wee bits. the flakes etc will be ideal for lunch boxes but they had the packs with chomps, curly wurly, fudge and buttons which are about 3 each i think.

got subway salad for brunch so plenty superfree has been had already. think i'll make fanta chicken tonight so again, more superfree...yay!

meant to ask you the other day when we were talking about tv stuff...have you been watching the mob doctor?x

all we have in our tea point is a kettle and 2 microwaves. We also have three fridges so we can put our lunch/milk etc in them so heating things up is easy peasy for me. If i couldnt do that i think it would be sarnies every day and i would def stuggle on SW not to get unhealthy things.

oooh heavnt heard of that programme? Whats it about? BF is loving breaking bad at the moment (we are renting them so only on series two) but i am not a fan tbh. its a bit slow for me!

i've not seen breaking bad but heard a lot of people going on about it.

the mob doctor is about a girl who works in a hospital but her brother got in to trouble with a mafia type gang so to help him out of trouble, they own her now - call her to fix people on their side but she has to keep it quiet due to her job etc.
it's good but has been on a good few weeks now so dunno where you'd catch it from the start?x

I'll have to have a little look on iplayer or on demand and see if I can find it.

Just had my dinner - I had 2 syns of butter in my mash which was lovely. I'm stuffed now though :) that takes me to 10 total for today. Think I'm gonna stop there for today and get some syns in the bank for Saturdays trip :)

Did you manage to get some meat down you!? Lol

sure did lol, had chicken salad for lunch and fanta chicken so 2 meals of it.

its on sky atlantic i think...maybe sky one so not sure where you'd find it? we like it though.

been out catching up with my friend but home now feeling peckish, gonna sort teeny for bed then settle for a crunchie and some crisps so my total will be 10 or 10.5 depending on what hoops and crosses i have (prawn ones are only 4)

trying to think about meals for tomorrow...not sure yet...what's on your menu?x

Tomorrow will be red for me.

Breakfast will be yoghurt and an apple, lunch is chicken and BNS soup with hexb bread to dunk. Dinner will be burgers - just need to buy buns tomorrow. I might take an alpen bar for 3 syns just in case I get peckish late afternoon as I have a looooong meeting (again).

Are you thinking green for tomorrow?!

My cousin and her husband own an old fashioned sweet shop and it just so happens that it was in the same village as the wake yesterday so we popped in and bf got tons of aniseed twists, jelly babies, liquorice all sorts and so on. I am proud to say that all I got was two bags of flying saucers (5 syns per bag of 20) so I just had a bag as a treat (my resolve not to have any more syns didn't last long hahaha). But still on plan so no worries there.

I felt very virtuous by being in there and resisting all the lovely chocolate. They even had coconut mnm's which I so wanted but they were about 10 syns per bag so I didn't bother with them. It's so nice to be able to shop somewhere like that and still be able to indulge a bit but feel in control! Hoping that this week of mostly red and green does me some good come Monday!

oh my god...did you say coconut m and m's???
my god i need these in my life lol!!!

think tomorrow will be EE again. i'm swaying towards trying the cheeseburger quiche that i saw on slimming eats and i happen to have cottage cheese that needs used up before it ends up in the bin. my OH is up for it so think i'll take some mince out the freezer for that...fingers crossed it turns out better than the last couple of things i've tried recently lol.

5 syns for the flying saucers isn't too bad...20 is a lot and i suppose you could make them last you a while if you let them melt rather than just munch them? not had them for a while but the last time i did, i commented how they're not the same as they used to be.
lots of things aren't i guess...smarties being one of them...bring back the E no's i say lol x

I know!! I so want to try coconut mnm's. If I go over again I'll get some and send you up a pack. :) Haven't seen them in any other shops so they must be special edition or something.

I made them melt to last a bit longer :) it's just a nice change but not something I would have all the time. I'm def more of a chocolate kind of gal than sherbet sweets but it's nice to be different from the norm sometimes with syns I think. Spice things up a bit haha.

Cheeseburger quiche sounds interesting! Haven't come across that one just yet. Hope it goes ok - bf didn't think much of my beef curry the other day. I guess you win some you lose some haha!

I'm pleased because I still have one BNS left so I can make BNS chips to go with my burger tomorrow :) :) :)

result! especially for a red day ;)

the quiche thing looks nice...and it's pretty much the same as what i do when i make mine except it'll be mince as the base with some tomato sauce on the top then fried onions. it says to cook some tomato and garlic in the oven then blitz them but i have half a carton of pasatta left from tonight so i might just add some garlic and the herbs to that...bound to be the same? or at lease similar?
means i won't waste this carton too :)

i usually use aldi's but have asda's own this time and there was def a difference...it was so much thicker which i liked when cooking with it tonight.
i'd never pay the extra for a branded one...not when we disguise them with so many other flavours anyway.

my friend went to australia and tried mint m and m's....she said they were awesome and i'm sure they are...but you can't beat a bit of cadbury's eh! lol x

I love a bit of cadburys. My all time fav choc is plain old dairy milk. I could eat kilos of the stuff. My problem is that a normal sized bar isn't enough for me lol :) got to be at least the bar and a half size ;) mint ones must be good too - they also do peanut butter flavour I think. But it's def the coconut ones that catch my eye!

I would use up what you have hun. I have some passata left in the fridge too and a little bit of curry paste so I'm gonna fry up some veggies and mix that in with garlic and herbs and see what it comes out like haha. Will do me for a green day lunch with some pasta. I'm
Not fussed with passata brand either - or things like kidney beans, tinned spaghetti etc. it's all the same in my opinion. The only food things I'm a bit snobby with is my ketchup has to be Heinz and mayo has to be helmans. Bf says beans need to be Heinz too but I don't like them so don't care either way lol.

I slept a lot better last night thankfully so not feeling like a zombie today lol. What have you got on today? You still off work? It's not raining today but it's really cold. Gonna have to dig my wooly scarf and gloves out I think!!

weather's the same at this end too....brrrrr :(

no plans as such today, still off work and we've basically done nothing...will end up regretting it when we're back to work but hey ho...guess it's saved me on childcare costs lol.

think it's EE for me today, i've noticed i've been really hungry at night and i'm not sure if it's cos i've not been grazing as much through the day cos i'm off.
usually i'd have a mouthful of something before work then all my wee bits and bobs through out the day but this week, it's been 3 meals and nothing really in between.

dunno....but it makes me paranoid a bit although it's def not been thirst. my OH said at least i know my metabolism's working hehe x

Well as long as you aren't going over syns technically you should be ok to eat whatever you like!! :)

My day has gone to plan and I'm on my way home to make burgers and BNS chips. Yum! I even have both hexa to spare (only had one cuppa today so I'll just syn it) so gonna make a cheese burger and mushrooms stuffed with feta and chilli mmmmm!! Cannot wait!!

My boss (the one with the red velvet cake and Gregg's!!!) brought us all some treat sized chocs today. I got a mini bag of maltesers but there it's any calorie info on them so no idea how much to syn them as?! Any ideas?! There are 10 in the bag from what I can feel. I know a bag of the 99 cal ones would be 5 but no clue if they use a diff recipe for those ones?!

i picked some of them up earlier. website says 5 for 19.7g bag...so i think it must be them?
i think i used to syn them at 5 before...not had them for a while but i got them and fun size mars (which are 4) and they'll last ages.

tesco had 20 bags of mini packets of hula hoops for £1. they were 51 calories a bag (10g) and i swithered whether to get some but i opened them and thought...2.5 syns for prob 7 hula hoops isn't really worth it! great for halloween treat bags though....i put them back cos i don't plan on opening the door next week (baaah humbug to halloween! lol)

i made the burger quiche thing before lunch time which was planned for dinner...but i ended up just having a wee taste and i'm hoping my OH wants some when he gets in otherwise i'm not sure it'll get used. it was good...nothing spectacular and kinda just like my normal quiche...with some meat at the bottom.

i saw a recipe for coronation chicken ages ago which i wanted to try but hadn't cos it asked for sultanas, jam etc. but i fancied it there when i realised i had some cooked chicken which needed used today so i just mixed it with some e/l mayo and curry powder and had it with a baked potato.
it was lovely and def an idea for a sandwich filler or even mixed with pasta and superfree to have cold for lunch? really enjoyed it!

finally picked up some quinoa and the coconut milk which is a HEa so i'm going to give that a try for breakfast one time. again, i saw it a while ago but hadn't ever remembered to pick the milk up lol. the quinoa's not cheap tho....it was almost £2 for a wee bag! guess i'm just used to pudding rice and cous cous and those aren't too bad (god i sound like such a miser eh lol)

you'll enjoy your dinner...and your maltesers if you have them ;) x

Yep looks like that's the one - I weighed it at 20g. Seems a bit measley for 5 syns when you can get a bigger bag for the same. But I'm not going to have them tonight - I'll put then away in my tin for another day. And hope that bf doesn't find them lol.

Im def going to get a bag of mini treats for my tin. Halloween is perfect for things like this, just need to be disciplined enough not to munch them all at once. You are prob right about the hula hoops not bein worth it since there are other crisps you can get.

Plus I've eaten so much I think I could burst. :) it was sooooo nice to have a burger. Felt really naughty and I thoroughly enjoyed my stuffed mushrooms. So much so that I've made two for my lunch tomorrow as well :) not sure what else I can have with them though - they prob won't be enough to fill me up on their own.

My BNS chips never turn out as chips lol. I obv do it wrong but I'm happy with 'roasted' BNS anyway lol.

I'm not sure about a quiche with mince in it. Might have to give it a try but I really like the plain egg and SuperFree one :)

The coronation chicken sounds nice though (I mean your version....not the one with currents and jam. Bleurgh!!) nice to discover something easy and quick for lunches :)

What's on the treat menu tonight?!
