Help needed for 1st day......

me too! but i didn't have an early night...same every morning..i wake thinking DEF gonna go early tonight! lol

it's slower in coming off for me since xmas too i think...i don't want to, but i keep looking back on where i had been instead of focussing on the start weight from january...but hoping that i can hold off til the end of the month and get a result - even with the wedding weekend in a couple of weeks!

was the stir fry something you threw together or was it a recipe? i never really use pork unless it's chops- i think it tastes quite a fatty meat but my OH likes it and LOVES the pulled pork which i've not done in ages.

It's a recipe in the last slimming world magazine. It's meant to be beef but I had some pork mince to use up so did that instead. I have to say, it's amazingly tasty!! Surprising how much difference it makes to the taste of a stir fry so I can definitely recommend it - and it's only about 1 syn per person (for the sweet chilli sauce).

Do you think it's making a difference not having support in class?! I wouldn't say so because you are still getting losses but just wondered what your perspective was never having gone to class myself. My sister says she can't do without it.
 
hasn't made any difference cos i couldn't stay anyway...so all i did was go in, pay my £5, weigh and leave...it's just the online access that i'm missing the most to be honest!

i have the mag from last time so might look through the recipes again:)

had the mac and cheese today for lunch again....i'd put extra tomatoes in, peppers, onion and spring onion this time and it was really good. it's always quite dry cos i have it cold but i had some yesterday for lunch straight out the oven and it was yummy!

my OH's picked me up a BNS salad again which will save me preparing something for tomorrow...all my hints are paying off now hehe

Aww bless your OH. He has got the hang of the salad thing hasn't he lol. My bf is being a stroppy pain in the backside today! Glad he is off out for dinner with his dad so I can relax on my own!! I'm thinking of doing egg and bacon for dinner tonight with some SW sautéed potatoes or chips. Still got a hexb to have so I may have chop butties mmmmm.

My day has been ok. Busy but I got a lot of stuff ticked off my list so all in all a good day. How bout you?

i walked in the door, whacked him with my lunch bag for work (on purpose as a laugh but the corner of my bag and the weight of the flask hurt him lol) then when i opened the fridge, there was a wee I Love You mini cushion heart thing on top of the salad...aww i felt bad hehe.

chip butties...mmmm...with full fat mayo...double mmmm!
i'm on green and still have another HE b to use too. just having baked potato with cottage cheese, beans and veg for dinner cos it's the only thing i can be bothered making to be honest. OH having hunters chicken with mash - smells lovely. it's asda's own and he loves it!

glad you got some things ticked off the list...always a bit of a relief when things are done eh :) x

I'm not having very good days SW wise the last two days. I've not been writing it all down properly and I know I'm going off plan. Need to try as get it back on track today although I don't have lunch with me as I fell asleep at 8;30 last night!! Eeekk! Going to do some serious planning tonight and make sure I have everything ready. In the meantime I think I'll try and get some sushi for lunch today!? Dinner is going to be home made fish cakes.

What's your plan?!

Apart from not noting it, has your food really been off plan?

Green today, got the salad for lunch and just took quorn fanta chicken out the freezer so will have that with noodles for dinner...easy peasy with minimum preparation...my fav! Lol x

I had two interruptions for phone calls - and to get up from the sofa where i fell asleep and get into bed! But otherwise I slept like a baby lol. I must have really needed it and I do feel a lot better today. Might try the same again tonight haha. Got another busy weekend so it might help to get some extra sleep in :)

I have made silly mistakes like yesterday forgetting I had already had my hexb and I was on EE so I had some bread with dinner (chip butty!!) when I had already had hifi bars for breakfast. Plus I had already used up my syns so that was a mistake. And I went over my syns Monday as bf bought me a creme egg and my plan was to make up the syns this week but i think i need to just draw a line under it and start fresh - otherwise i think it might spiral out of control trying to claw it back and end up with a whole week off plan. Stupid really as all that happened was i left my diary in my other handbag - i should have just got a scrap of paper and scribbled it all down.

but anyway - ill just carry on now! I brought lots of fruit with me today so hopefully that will help me a little bit. I am also planning to use Saturday to cook up some bits for lunches so all i have to do is take them out of the freezer. I'm thinking cottage pie (we can have some for dinner and then leftovers in the freezer) and maybe bolognaise or chilli?!

What quorn do you use for your fanta chicken? I tried using my 'chicken' pieces the other day but didnt cook it with any sauce on it and it came out like concrete!! I get the impression that you are meant to use them only in sauce or they dry out and die lol. Any ideas what I can use these for to use them up?
 
lol at dry up and die...i noticed the same thing when i cooked the chicken pieces in the microwave the other week when i'd made the coronation quorn chicken.

i used the chicken pieces for the fanta chicken...and just cooked it as i would if it had been actual chicken. if i'm making philly pasta with lots of superfree, i put them in the pot frozen and cook them with the superfree, mix that with the pasta then add the philly at the end to "melt" it through so it's all still moist. if you left it for the next day, it's really dry :(

will see how this turns out tonight for dinner after being in the freezer for a while then being reheated...but there's a fair bit of sauce in the bag so should be ok.

jealous of your long sleep but yep, you must've needed it. and don't worry too much on the last couple of days...you might have been over on syns/HE's but maybe calorie wise it worked out ok. i know we don't count calories on here...but i'm very aware these days that we could blast the recommended daily allowance by eating free food...and yet in SW eyes, we'd have had a good day on plan with no syns...weird eh

My day has been ok thanks hun. Work wasn't too bad although the afternoon dragged a bit. Thankfully I wasn't caught up in too much commuter chaos from the tube strike! I did get caught in the rain though lol. How was your fanta chicken?!

Just settling down now and chilling out. What treats you got today!?
 
treats are a mini milky bar and some space raiders :)

the fanta "chicken" was nice...didn't lose it's taste or anything but there wasn't a huge amount and the wee square nest of noodles seemed too much :(

my day's been ok too...hectic but teeny's in bed and we're going to settle soon

I had some slimming world chips in the end and promptly fell asleep lol. As a result I'm starving today although luckily I made some lunch and brought lots of fruit with me so I'm at least sorted for today. Got some chicken out the freezer for tonight. Might do it with Harissa paste or might try some sort of curry as bf has got a bit of flu so the spice will help sort him out.

Red for me today I think in that case anyway. You green today?

Yep, green today again...got cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch and quorn peppered steak out for dinner.

Feeling shattered this morning and have just looked out a can of sugar free energy drink! Yuk but a few gulps will help me in my way...or at least let me think it has! Lol

Forgot to look for that paste stuff...must try to look for it at the weekend

Hey hun. Sorry I haven't been on all weekend - had some sad news on Saturday morning that my auntie passed away. She had been really poorly so I suppose it's a blessing that she isn't suffering anymore but everyone has been in bits the last couple of days.

Needless to say SW went out the window and I'm starting this week with a gain of 1.5lb sigh. Back on plan today though and I'm doing EE. Got loads of fruit for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. I'm doing a cottage pie for dinner so that will do a couple of lunches as well I hope (gonna sneak a fair amount of SuperFree in the mince mixture as well).

Friday went really well at the photography course - it was really interesting and now I just need to go out and practice a bit so I get some good pictures. How was your weekend hun?
 
Aww Sparty...i'm sorry to hear about your aunt....hard but as you say, at least she is not suffering any more :(

my weekend was ok thanks, stuck to plan, red on fri, EE sat and red again yesterday. not sure about today...i'm off tomorrow so cooking will wait until then. have a gammon thing that needs used today so either EE or red again i think...not sure.

cleared out one of my drawers on saturday and couldn't believe the size of some of the stuff on me! it was mad! lol. even my little one was like wooooaw! haha

i'm desperate to weigh myself...but really gonna try to hang off...feels liks ages since i did (even though it was just the 31st Jan) but seeing the clothes makes me wish i'd measured myself too!

your food sounds good today...don't worry about the gain huni, if you've been off plan over the weekend, most of that will be fluid etc...you know what to do and i'm sure you'll see a better number on the scales next time ;)

yeah everyone is ok as can be - shame for my step mum though as it is her bday today and obviously she doesnt feel much like celebrating so we are postponing it for a while.

yeah i got the course as a bday present and it was well worth it. really pleased with how it went and although it was a lot to take in, i understood most of it lol. he has sent us the notes so i need to read through them and practice a bit now.

ahh its brill to see you throwing some old bits away and seeing how far you have come. sometimes its really hard to see progress, esp if you havent been seeing it on the scales much recently. any more luck on finding any new things?

i think i need to go back to really planning well and taking it day by day. this week i dont have many plans other than hopefully a meal out friday night so that will be over syns - ill try and store up a few this week to counteract it. it will most likely be an indian so i can control syns a certain amount if i prepare well enough.

i also need to do some cooking over the weekend for the freezer (which i keep planning to do and then not doing lol)

oooh i love gammon - we had that roasted yesterday!
 
well...after i posted, i was determined i was gonna do red.
had some 1/2 syn roulade with fruit salad for breakfast but then started sorting stuff out, hrs have passed and i'm now starving!
got some sw wedges in the oven and a veggy wrap "pizza" to go in...so green it is (or EE if i don't want the other HE later)

could have ham as my HE but i might try the quorn fajita strips and have some in pasta with lots of superfree for dinner? dunno...but i know i have to be kinda organised to do red and especially for snacks....on this occasion, hunger has made the decision lol

what a shame for your stepmum, and for the rest of the family...it's never nice when these things happen :(

oooh, meant to say...i found the (sugar puffs) Honey Montster sticks cereal bars yesterday (saw on another thread 2 are a HEb) and my god...i loved them!
they're a bit like the rice krispie squares you get. they come in marshmallow and vanilla or chocolate and honeycomb i think...couldn't get the chocolate but they are so yummy...feels naughty to be a HEb!

i bought 2 packs in poundworld, tried them, loved them so went back in to get the last 4 packs. noticed the BBF date was jan 2014 so mentioned it at the til and she gave me the 4 packs for £1!
so i ended up with 6 packs of 7 for £3...result! lol

my little one loved them so ended up with some and i'll need to look out for the chocolate ones but so yummy for a treat ;)

Now I like the sound of those!! I love honeycomb!! Will have to hunt some down!!!

The course was a one off but they do other ones I could go on as well as a follow up if I wanted to. It's just a hobby really so I might see how I go for now and maybe save up to do another one later on :) just need to get out there and snap away!!
