IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

I'm allowed 2 TSP on attack then 4 on cruise. I will go post my menu now. Lol

Can't you do your muffins with 2TSPN? (I think he's mean only allowing veggies 2, when non veggies get 1.5!)

Thanks DD... I'm just the same. Strict is far easier for me too.

Robin- there is very little info on Stabilisation in the book. So it's a case really of trial and error perhaps... seeing how many carbs and how much sugar and fat you can reintroduce without regaining.

Jacq- thanks! I managed to change the heading!
Did you weigh in? Must go to your diary to see how you got on!

Thanks Jo, I did look at the stab info before starting conso so remember roughly. I think I'll do a phase III+ where I'll have unlimited fruit for a couple of weeks and see how I get on with that, then move on to sugar instead of sweetner, etc, etc,. I don't think I'll be (mentally) ready for proper stabilisation for a good while yet (and I'll see how WI treats me on Friday too - am expecting a gain).

Best of luck with the new start!

I like your ideas Robin...

BACK!! In more ways than one!

Despite what I said before my departure about restarting without a weigh in, of course I had to put a figure on my restart weight and it is a humungous 79.5K (175lbs). A stone gain ish. Oh well. I deserve it. Enjoyed it. (Ironically, I've been ill for past 8 days and still have a raw throat and bunged up dose since eating poorly and forgetting multivitamins!)...

So rererere(re?) start of Dukan PROPERLY this time. Back to basics. No weekend treats. No NUTTING... Sticking to French book rules (except for cottage cheese this week on attack cos I brought some back with me...) cos I'm more used to it and can't get some of your products anyway. Plus I baked some muffins in advance so used French quantities of bran...

Meeting Manda was lovely... hope I didn't pass any bugs onto you Mouse...

Will catch up (hopefully!) on all everyone else's news when I get my act together by lunchtime at work.

x
Ps - and if anyone can tell me how to change the title of this thread, I'd be much obliged! (I tried editing first post)

No ill affects and as I said in my diary it truly made my day! Glad you got home safely.

Jo I hope work was okay with your flu. Has the weather in Europe eased a little yet then?

Hi Jo,

nice to have you back and wishing you a successful first week which I'm sure you're having already!

morning Jo and Happy New year - yes im on 12 lbs my own fault but enjoyed it. been back on atkins since last thursday so well back into the swing of things :) best of luck and we will get to goal and stay there this year!!!! xxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too Vicky... (Do you really believe the end bit? Or will we keep repeating the same behaviour ad nauseum?).

Day 1 of attack over and no problems at all. (I acknowledge that being sick and having no appetite and difficulties in swallowing helps somewhat here!!).

Above all, I'm feeling HAPPY (despite the size 18 trousers I'm wearing... or trying to wear cos they're WAY too big, but the 16s I tried this morning looked awful!) just knowing I'm back in control!

Oh for anyone fixated on clothes sizes, I bought 3 pairs of size 18 trousers for my return (seeing how the 16s were looking as my holiday reached a close). All 3 in the sale at M&S. One is so big that my other half could join me. This one fits my legs and hips (ish) but the waist could fit a second person in. The other pair is ok ish. I know we all moan about sizes and shops but these were all bought in the SAME shop! grrr! Hoping I'll be in the 16s next week (never thought I'd be hoping for so little!!).

Jo I heard a little fact from the sales dept.... shops buy various styles to suit all body shapes. Like with pants (you call them trousers over there) the store may have 5 different black pants on show all to fit either; apple, pear, hour glass, boy figure etc. So each size 18 is not for the one type of body shape.

Can you sew? You could put a couple of darts in the waist?

Gosh that makes sense. I didn't think of that and certainly didn't try anything on, just swept them onto my arm and headed for the till -hiding the size label!

Yes I thought of putting a dart in the waistband tonight... but I wouldn't dare try to remove the waistband and do it properly (and they were cheap in the sale so not worth paying for alterations

I have 3 pairs of the same cut of jeans from M&S, same size all bought within a few weeks of each other and all fit differently.
The black pair are much smaller than the blue, which fall down now.

But yes the size vairance between cuts can be massive and the varience between shops. Its soooooo annoying.

hey Jo glad you are feeling happy :) its nice to hear!!!!
yes straining trousers here too but the size 14s are in the loft and it gives me good motivation ;)

I'm now in an embarrassing position... the 18 trousers I put on this morning, which I mentioned were a little big, have now relaxed and are HUGE (or is it just that I've wee'ed so much that I've become the incredible shrinking woman?!). Each time I stand up, I'm in trouble, and walking down the corridors I feel as if I'm in a clown's baggy trews...

Not a good look! Just had a COLD sugar free jelly. Best sore throat remedy I've found.

Did you wear you lovely dress for xmas day?

oooh I did yes... and my other half took I think a rather flattering photo despite the VPL (put it this way, my view of my tummy from above was a "mountainous" lumpy one!)
