Thats how i feel after binging. Sick of doing it now though. Y Dont u join r little challenge and c if u can go without something u love thats bad for u for a week. Bread and crisps for me.x
 
Ok thats a deal,monday it is. How bad are we with the white stodgy bread. No bread or crisps for a whole week starting monday,bring it on!!!

Sarah, I'm glad you're starting to realise that you're only cheating yourself.
However, we all feel a little sad when someone falls off the wagon, so we'd love it if everyone gave it a good go so we can celebrate brilliant losses and everyone reach their targets.
You've had a rough few weeks recently with your food & weigh ins, hopefully this will be the start of that turning around.
And know that you'll also be demoted if need be haha.
We'll give all you demotees really rubbish nicknames lol.

I also have a problem with portion Shez. Which is why the ww ready meals are so good to me.
They're already portioned and pointed and all I have to do it heat them up and I'm good to go.

As for wasted food Trina - I too have an issue with that.
And if there's food sitting there, I pick at it because I hate seeing it go to waste.
I've managed to get it under better control since being on ww, but the habit is still there.
When I went to a thai restaurant for my best friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago, even though I was full, there was still chow mein on my plate, and I ended up eating it until it was all gone.
I just couldn't see it sit there and go to waste.
Thankfully I still lost well, but it was tough.


I'm not entirely sure on the whole no bread and no crisps for a week challenge.
I'd love to join in, but I have home made sandwiches for my lunch at work (just cuz it's easy to make and point).
As for crisps, I don't eat them anyway - I have been eating the ww nacho cheese tortilla chips, so I can give them up for a week to join in that challenge.
I also don't eat chocolate. Ever.
Gave it up as a new year's resolution about 6 years ago and haven't eaten it since.
The smell actually makes me feel a bit nauseous.
Think that seriously helps my pointing, not having to account for chocolate treats.

If we're giving up something we really love, then I'll give up cake.
I looooooooooove cake.
Mmmmm.
I'll try a week without cake.

Think I'm all caught up on this thread now.

I think the best way forward is to NOT make yourself feel like you are deprived. When you say I'm on a diet, immediately we think avoid anything nice, and it will end soon. But we have to take it as a way we live, not just for a few weeks. So it doesnt matter if you have cakes twice a week ( using your weeklies). As long as you in those weeklies. Don't feel defeated.

You're more likely to binge if you feel deprived. So if you have a sweet tooth, promise yourself you'll compromise; so instead of eating something sweet and too much of it daily , just reduce how much you're eating. That way you are gradually getting used to having less , replace with fruit etc and then eventually you won't crave it so much. I remember hearing a quote that if you force yourself to eat something, eventually you'll crave it. So force yourself to eat more fruit , fill up on the veg etc.

Aah this is all advise for myself too as I have a sweet tooth. Like now it's almost that time of the month , so I've had 5/6 mini meringues through the day with fruit. It cuts that sweet craving if you really feel you need it and v low in pp.

Oh wow I've rambled on a bit. Sorry. Hope we all get to our goals successfully :)

OMG I logged on earlier today, wrote the longest reply ever and then hit delete by accident, so here goes again...
I think for me it's realising that I can cheat on my diet all I want, but at the end of the day it's only myself I'm cheating. I'm letting myself down and I don't want to do that any more!
I totally agree with this comment, if I was to cheat I could lie as much as I wanted to all of you but deep down I would know that I had cheated and to me that just isn't worth it! X

You should make your recipe and PP it and then measure out a PP Friendly Portion, I bet it would fill you up just the same especially if you put it on a smaller plate so it would look like more! X

I think its coz i got brought up not to waste food and my son is the worlds pickiest eater. sometimes he just cant be bothered to eat,sometimes he just decides he doesnt like it that day. Meal times are a total trauma.x
You should send him round to me, I'm a harsh task master at meal times, my friend sent her 18month old round to me for the same reason! I agree about Wastage, my parents never let me leave the table unless my plate was clear and seconds were mandatory not an option! I just cook what we need now so there's no waste or seconds! X

1 little cheat can lead to a huge binge for me. I shock myself at how much i can actualy eat when im on 1. I prob have more than sum people would have for there breakfast and lunch:(

I think try to avoid the binges all together Sweetie, I can understand where Shez is coming from but if you binged on yogurts/fruit you could soon build up a fair amount of calories! X
Im guna from now on. Im going to take it a day at a time so i realy want to see how long i can go without eating crisps coz them cheese and bread are my serious downfall.x

I totally agree with this point, that's why as my challenge I'm agreeing to 30mins of walking per day, I don't feel the need to give up anything food related as Hanson heart I can say I don't eat anything to excess, it's just when I fancy something that I eat it. X PS-Where do you buy Mini Meringues from and how many PP are they? X
