Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

I think you get to a stage every now and again when boredom/complacency sets in. I'm not there yet, but it's probably not very far away! I've weigh-in tonight, and if I don't get my stone award, I'm afraid that I'll start to lose interest, especially going into a Bank Hol weekend. So I've stocked up in advance of rest of the week. I am going to cook tonight's dinner at lunch time so I won't go for a sneaky chipper on the way home, and HOPEFULLY I won't snap ;)

Do you mix up your days? I've done 2 Green days this week so far, have to say I enjoyed changing my food around a wee bit.

Apologies, that turned into more of a rant about me!

I'm definitely feeling the pressure this week! It's all from myself! I need to lose a pound and a half this week to my next award and then when I get it I'm going to set my final target for 7 stone! I've been on this plan for 10 months and love it but all if a sudden in starting to get panicked about how every little thing can affect my weight loss! And I really don't know how I'm going to cope with maintaining! Weigh in is tonight and i feel sick about it! Even been in the gym for an hour every day this week but freaked out last night incase that was too much exercise!!

Thank you all for the advice. Its the lack of preparation thats affecting me I have gone back to old habits of missing meals and picking at bad foods instead.

Kinnak well done thats amazing. I started 10 mths ago now as well but its astounding you have lost that much in such a short time.

well done KinaKK, that is amazing. I think this is funny how everyone seems to be in the same boat, a few months ago I panicked about the fact that this "diet" was for life until a friend of mine in SW as well pointed out that it is all normal foods that we are eating and the more we follow the plan the more we get used to it. We cant understand why we can eat so many potatoes yet we do and we lose a lot of weight.

I did it! I lost 2.5 pounds this week!! Got my 6.5 stone award and slimmer if the week! So happy!! BBQ chicken and skinny chips to celebrate!!

Congratulations Kinakk!! Well done x

Finally got my stone award, so feel motivated to plough on again. Amazing what a shiny sticker does for my mindset!

Yayyy coughdrops, that is fantastic, I hope to get another sticker next week and my certs are nearly covering my fridge at the moment

Thanks everyone!! Yeah I have to admit love the stickers!! And the certs are in the fridge to remind me not to undo my hard work (not that there's anything in my fridge that contains syns) I'm a big believer in if you don't buy it you can't eat it! And as for my boyfriend he can pick up his own treats!

Speaking of treats...

I have always been a bigger eater than DH, but in fairness he likes his grub too. Last night I opened the goodie press in kitchen, (just to look!) and found 2 half full bags of jellies, and a jumbo share bag of crisps he bought 2 weeks ago. He's just taken a few sweets at a time, hasn't felt inclined to eat the crisps yet etc.

I was morto. When we used to "share" stuff, it was always finished in one sitting, usually on the day we bought it. Really and truly I didn't realise it was ME eating so much of it. I knew that I ate "a bit" more than him, but thought it was probably at most a 60:40 split, and that he was eating loads too.... deluded or what!

I'm so with you Kinakk, it is not a temptation if it isnt there so what you buy in the shop is what your left with. DH is very understanding and wont put temptation my way so definitely nothing too bad in our house.

Coughdrops, one thing I noticed was the amount of bread that went off, DH only uses it for his lunch and I dont eat bread anymore, that was a shock to the system and by the way, well done to you for not touching all that sweet stuff, I would just dump it

I'm not bothered by it when I'm sticking to plan, so it doesn't tempt me. If I want a few sweets, I'll syn them, but I've really found that having to write it down has put me off even taking a few. Getting stingey with my syns. I have my Flying Saucer sweets instead!

Quick question!! Does everyone's group have a lifeline board? Out consultant mentioned it last night and just wondered did any of ye do the system! It sounds real AA stuff having another member to call! Ha! Love the idea tho!

Never heard of this. Though our consultant encourages us to ring/text her if we need to.

Yeah the same with ours but she said she was bringing in some board and that if you felt comfortable enough to out up your details in case someone wants to contact you rather than the consultant!

Interesting. I don't think I'd contact other people in "real" life, but then again I am on here during the day if I need any tips / arse-kicking. Suppose it's much the same as having a group FB page, but I'm imagining the phone going while your watching Corrie or in bed, cos someone needs talking out of the biccy box.

Do you think you'd give your details out?

Ha ha Coughdrops, pmsl at the step away from the biccie tin comment, gas!!

I never heard of this but then again our consultant is ultra private and Im very open but she knows we are in contact with each other outside of the meeting so I don't think she will put this board up in our class and she doesn't like texts but she does like someone ringing her, she mentioned this a few weeks ago but has never mentioned this board.

Im very open but I don't think I would like to give my number as there are a few in our group who would be a bit nosey and there are a few who I wouldn't be too fond of so I don't think I would like this

Thank you Orla for directing me over here! The names Blathnaid. I based in Cork. I'd like to lose four stone over the next twelve months. I'm trying SW online, so hoping I can get some of the recipe swapping and tips sharing here to make-up somewhat for the lack of a group. Looking forward to getting to know you all better! :)
