It's Now Or Never

Woohoo! Sounds like a positive day for you! I didn't get out of bed til 9, (my house is manic this morning and decided to leave them all to it!) and plan on having a lazy day with some cooking and planting some seeds! Oh, my life is so exciting! :)

Starting from seeds, that is so good of you. I can barely be @rsed to now the lawn. Am going to get did of front garden lawn and out some sort of slate chips down and a few pots. Then at least I don't have to bother too much and won't look like I'm letting the neighbourhood down. Lol

Haha! Nooooo, don't to it! It might be worth finding someone local who will mow your front lawn for you?
I love growing from seeds - this year I'm planning on tomatoes, peppers, chillies, butternut squash, aubergine, pumpkins and courgettes. And my strawberries that seem to be so prolific! Will propagate on the window sill and hope for the best. Last year my courgettes were amazing and I was picking them well in to November, but I had no luck at all with squashes or pumpkins.
I always raid the garden centres, too, in about May/Jun! I fill hanging baskets with tomatoes and they do really well out the front. All my stuff is grown in pots as I don't have room for a veg bed. My saviours have been the big, flexible, moulded plastic trugs with handles (I think people usually use them for laundry?!) and I have made drainage holes in the bottom. They are perfect for growing.
Xx

Well I do want to do more veg, and in fact have a little corner if the garden that I'm reserving for that purpose. Have been composing for past couple if years, and want to use that to dig in first. It's all on my list if jobs.

As for front garden, grass really needs digging up and starting over. It was a mess when I moved in and now worse. I've tried various treatments etc to no avail. And I can't afford to pay anyone anything. Ho hum.

Well I cleaned the whole house (well as much as I'm ever likely to anyway). With the exception of ny son's room which I barely could access to hoover.

Ate loads today too - on plan, but I definitely wasn't as I should have been with the superfree.

Breakfast:
Fruit, prunes (2 syns), branflakes (HEb), low fat yoghurt. Cup of tea with skimmed milk (part of HEa).

Lunch - midday:
Left over risotto reheated with a load of fresh spinach stirred in till wilted - was really yummy. More mixed fruit with low fat yoghurt. Liquorice tea.

Early afternoon snack:
2 onions and about five thinly sliced new potatoes all pan fried. Liquorice tea.

Dinner:
(this is where the superfree really suffered) - 3 syn free pork sausages, 2 large baking potatoes made into SW chips, small can of WW baked beans, 2 fried eggs with frylight. Cup of tea (part HEa in splash if skimmed milk).
1 banana (4 syns) and 200ml soya milk (rest of HEa) to make a banana milkshake.

2 large glasses of slimline tonic (this seems to by equivalent now, mentally, of a glass of wine....)

Total syns: 6
Total water: prob about 2 pints in teas
Exercise: sod all again :-(

So as you can see I've eaten like a horse. Am really glad though that I've started drinking more herbal tea and knocked the builders tea on the head - it frees up ny HEa meaning I can have my banana milkshake, which I was starting to miss. I find them so filling, soya milk better for you, and it cures my sweet tooth.

Must get in more water and superfree though. I'm fully expecting a gain tomorrow after thus past week. I'll be gutted when it shows, so am trying to psychologically prepare myself so I am determined and turn it into a positive.

That sounds yummy Pinkie. For meals like that where you have sausage, egg and beans that's when I'm really glad I do green days. Who wants to put some veg or salad with egg and chips? Eh? Eh??? I wouldn't worry too much anyway as you are good at having your superfree normally.

You smoothie sounds nice. I used to love a good nana smoothie, might syn one soon.

I think you're doing soo well avoiding booze and having tonic instead! Have you still not had any booze in all this time?

Good luck for tomorrow.

Well I do eat lot of fruit so hopefully it will even out over the day. Ah well, I'm back on it after my wobble at the beginning of the week. Still amazed at hoe much that scared me. Maybe I needed it to show I can't become complacent again. Not that we put any pressure on ourselves eh?

No, still no booze. So strange really, and what I have noticed is that my friends have more of an issue with it than I do. I'm not even bothered anymore. If I do feel like I reality want a chill out drink at the end if the day, then there's the old slimline tonic. I noticed I am also getting over my alpen light addiction too. Have really fancied one at times, but am quite glad that I imposed the Lent ban on myself. Banana milkshakes are helping.... :)

Pinkie - I can relate to the feeling of being scared at the wobble. I really had that earlier on in my SW journey. Now I still have the occasional wobble, but they don't scare me as much. I still feel that I could easily go back to how I used to eat but don't worry much any more that will happen. Hopefully you will feel like that too more and more over time.

I can also relate to the Alpen light (and HiFi bars and Weetabix Oaty bars) addiction although mine is still current.............................!!

Good luck for tomorrow.

I still can't get over your 4.5 stone loss Gail - that is immense!!! Well done!

Now, I have just made my supernoodle omlette, but thought I'd have a twist on how I include spinach (I think I am becoming spinach obsessed, love the stuff). So I chucked a couple of massive handfuls of it in the blender when whizzing up the omlette. Then cooked the omlette as normal. Oh my life - it is bright green and looks like astroturf!!! lol lol But it is so yumptious!!!! Yay for edible astroturf!!

Just thought I'd share that with you - I feel like I'm eating a triffid, it looks so funny lol

In fact here is a pic...

Oh, and well I'm whacking images up -here is my lovely fruity breakfast too - I love it sooooo!!! :) (Half noshed I'm afraid, you have to get in quick around me!)

Nom! I LOVE the look of that spinach omelette! x

It does look good, actually just looks like massive spinach leaves wrapped around your supernoodles rather than an omelette. You are very inventive with your food!! xx

Lol, unfortunately I still had to turn up at work today... :p

Erm, I think you'll find it very much takes two to tango ;) xx

Well happy tango-ing. :)

Right first, my weigh in results. I put on 1.5lb. Annoying but there you have it. In a funny way I'm kind of pleased, because my little deviation has shown up straight away. It means I'm not lulled into a false sense of security. So I know where I went wrong, and what I should be doing, and I just need to do it.

Food for today:
Breakfast:
Mixed fruit, canned prunes (2 syns), branflakes (HEb), low fat yoghurt. Cup of tea (with a splash of milk, part of HEa).
Cup of tea (again milk from HEa).

Snack:
Apple and plum

Lunch:
Astroturf supernoodle omlette - pic above, with a huge plate of salad leaves.
Banana milkshake (4 syns for banana and rest of HEa for 200ml soya milk).

Snack:
Clementine

Dinner:
Minestrone soup - made from the EE cookbook. I have to say I really did enjoy this, and have two huge portions saved my dinner after work tomorrow and Thursday. Had pasta (I always use wholemeal), celery, canned tomatoes, ham, carrots, onions and garlic.

6 syns in total today. Will prob have some fruit before the day is out.
No exercise, oh but I did walk to school this morning as it was so lovely.
Water - very little. Had two herbal teas in additionvto the above.

So I am pleased that despite my wobble (which scared the hell out of me), I turned it around. I am paying for the wobble, but that's fine, as it should be.

This week I will make a real effort with water and exercise. Onwards and upwards. I will lose this bloody weight, I am not turning 38 in December over 13 stone. That gives me 8 months to lose 3 stone, and I WILL do it. :) xx

Well done for not throwing a wobbler!! And well done for staying motivated - December is aaaages away, loads of time to stick to plan and get to where you want to be :) xxx
