Wow that's amazing ! I'm really glad that he's ok though. Was he drunk ? Sometimes that helps for a 'softer landing'.
All fine here. Having a hectic weekend though. Working today and tomorrow (Boo !) and the trying to get to orchestra rehearsal tomorrow afternoon plus concert tomorrow evening (which will cheer me up a bit from the working weekend !). Will need a new orchestra top soon because this one is getting a bit big
Hope your weekend gets better.

I don't think he was - or at least my friend said she couldn't smell alcohol on him. Bless her, they've got a photo of the med team treating him and she's there sorting them all out. Se's still filling all the paperwork for the HSE in now. Anyway, the guy has literally walked away with three broken fingers and various bones bruised. Amazing.
I'd love to have learnt to play an instrument properly. I tinkered with piano and violin (I have my grandad's old german violin in the loft), but was always rubbish really - never practiced enough. What do you play? What type of orchestra are you with - do you play professionally? Do you have a preferred composer? Good news on the orchestra top though - get you skinny minny! ;-)
Woah, you must be shaken up after that. How lucky that he got away with a few injuries!! Bet you're pleased to hear that.
I sometimes think some football supporters' behaviour and the bad reputation they have in general is a shame as it spoils it for the majority of normal people. Not that I know much about football, just what I hear living in a city with two such big clubs and shall we say 'passionate' supporters!
Your salmon and jambalaya look amazing Pinkie! Think I will try the salt and herb skin trick! xxxx
Yes passionate support sometimes goes too far. I put up with a lot of grief because of who I support, I've seen some sights and very little surprises me anymore. It does detract from all the great things my club does too - all the community work, raising money, anti-racism campaigning. Then some prat runs on the pitch, or a bunch of idiots want a punch up, and it all goes out the window. Though quite honestly, I believe it is an issue with society, the football is symptomatic, and if you saw them on match day - never watching the pitch and just shouting at each other - you'd say it was irrelevant too. But it is what it is - and I'll never stop going because of it - I'll support them in the way I want to and sod everyone else. ;-)
The salmon was lovely. I always used to grill salmon, or wrap in foil and bake - but I definitely prefer pan frying it now, it just melts in the mouth!
I heard about that on the news too, sounds just awful and he could have so easily died. Some football fans, if u can even call them that gave no sense. It astounds me how the fans of football and rugby behave so differently. Can't imagine what would happen if the footie fans all shared the stands, carnage I would imagine.
Its a shame that a few can ruin it for everyone else xx
Sort of like I said above, I think it is a bit of a class thing - lower working classes traditionally watched football games, and less so Rugby. And people in said classes, tend to be handier with their fists, rather than articulate their frustrations. Sure it's more complicated than that, and that is a massive sweeping statement - but I do believe a lot of it stems from that.
Anyway, the silly bugger is OK - which I'm glad for - but I'm also angry now, as I missed most the second half because of it - and apparently it was a real corker too! ;-)
So today, what did I do? Well my lad was home again, we had a bit of a lazy one getting ready, had a nice cooked breakfast, then toodled off to a Roman villa which isn't too far from us. He really wanted to go up the park, but I dragged him off anyway. It worked out really well in the end. He got an activity sheet and was happy as larry working on that and seeing all the bits and bobs there (the building itself is really just the foundation walls - but you can make out all the rooms on the lower floor). He enjoyed it though, so I was really pleased I'm made him go.
We came home, and I got the roast dinner on - I'd already parboiled the spuds so it didn't take long to do. The last of the roast lamb from the portions I'd had frozen gone now. Was lovely though, and had oodles of veggies with it.
Then after dinner, I finally got off my bum and did something in the front garden. I'm afraid I did blitz it with weedkiller and then dug up all the messy bushes, shrubs etc. Well most anyway, until I ran out of wheelie bin space - I now have a wheelie bin with the lid propped open with a horrible spikey conifer thing. Operation tidy up commences. I shall look for some nice rose bushes or something to put there I think - something I actually like the look of. Steven helped a little (I got him sweeping up all the leaves in the back garden) - then he played with his friends on the green opposite for an hour whilst I did my bits and bobs.
By the time we'd done all this it was nearly 7 - so dip and film night went out of the window and we had a snack instead.
So I feel like I've had a nice and kind of productive day. Though the sink is full of washing up that I can't be bothered to do.
My food then:
Breakfast:
2 quorn sausages, thinly sliced pan fried potatoes, baked beans, mushroom, 1 fried egg, 3 rashers bacon. All frying used frylight. 2 cups of tea with soya milk (part of HEa).
Snack:
apple
Lunch:
roast lamb, gravy (just meat juice and lamb oxo cubes), SW roast spuds, sprouts, curly kale, carrots.
Tea:
2 corn on the cobs. Apricot geobar for afters (6 points).
Snack:
Banana, clementine.
Total syns: 6
Exercise: none!
Water: hardly any - bad bad woman!
Now I haven't had the rest of my HEa yet, and no HEb - but I just don't feel hungry, so don't want to have it for the sake of it. All I really want is fruit to be honest. So I am not going to have it, as that just seems silly.
Boy I feel so much happier for having had a good day. Shame work is on tomorrow ha ha - but hey, it pays the mortgage. My lazy project manager is back too after a week on a course. He'll be so pissy as I've fired back a load of docs he has been trying to palm off onto other people. So no doubt he'll be in full whining mode when he sees that. Just as well I am homeworking - I shall just ignore his emails.
Weigh in tomorrow - technically I have been spot on, so should have lost, but I am feeling very lumpy again right now :-(
Anyway, I am sure I have sufficiently bored anyone who is still reading this, so I will now shut my trap and go do something, but probably not the washing up. Adios!
