Hope you have a wonderful day. We have glorious sunshine again today. Hope it warms up a bit though. It was chilly when I took Tabby to school. Still, the sunshine really brightens my spirits. So I'll not complain! xx

Same to you! Yes same here, there's frost on the ground still, but should go soon! Think another long walk is in order to aid weight loss!
Like you say, can't complain - it's a change to miserable winter weather!
When you lived in the US, what was the average temp at this time of year, and throughout the seasons? Bet it's a real shock to your system being over here with our horrible weather!!

Wow, that 5lb of fat looks HUGE. O_O I didn't realise how big that would be. Would be AMAZING if it all went from one place, but unfortunately it all seems to come off in a small even layer from the entire body... Hence why arms and legs get skinnier from extremities-inwards.. Oh well.. It'll get to my belly soon!!

How are you doing today Nat? Anything planned? How's LO? Is he feeling better now?

I know, it's amazing how big it is - I have more than that on my belly alone, yack!
Wish it would all go from one place lol! Most of my weight is from my tummy downwards, but I do have bingo wings, arrgghh!

I'm really good thanks, just a few chores, then a looooong walk again to aid weight loss. I've also got to make a start on a mirror for my friend, she wants the shabby-chic look, from plain pine. It'll take a while because it's huge, and because of the amount of layers of paint needed, but I think it'll be worth it.

LO seems to be better - eating/drinking better but still runny nose, and his glands are up in his neck - I just want this to leave him alone now! :(

What have you got planned? Something nice I hope! :) xxx
 
LOL. Yeah...erm. The temps back home right now are generally in the low 20s C this time of year. And its pretty much sunny all the time now. Hence why Im always cold here. lol. Miss it, so so SO much.

Off to pick up the little one now. Hopefully its warmed up a bit. Might take the kids to the park! xx

I’m going out on Friday evening, to an Indian of all places – can’t get out of it, but don’t want to ruin my diet, so wondered, can I have -

1.. Tandoori Chicken (Dry Meat, but obviously seasoned) – NO SAUCE
2.. Spinach? This isn’t on the ‘allowed’ list of veg, but can’t think of anything else an Indian Restaurant would do!

I bet they're sick of me - just been on live chat to ask if meals should be eaten by a certain time, i.e., before 7pm - no!
Can I have coffee any time of night, as it does contain a small amount of cals - can!
Re porridge/bars - I told them that I seemed to lose more weight on the days I had run out of these products, and wondered if the slightly higher carbs could be the reason why - They replied saying the carbs are negligible, so they don't see how it can make a difference.

I know for sure though, that carbs play a part in this, so I am going to plan my meals carefully, to ensure I try not to go over 50g per day. When I input everything in to their online meal planner, some days, my carbs are 65g or over, yet other days, they're around 40-45g. I'm trying to keep under 50g, and I don't mind so much if I go over 650 cals, as I know anything below 800 cals will keep me in Ketosis :D
under 50g carbs = deep ketosis, 51-70g - safely in ketosis, above that, there's a chance some people could come out of ketosis.

That's 7.75 miles since Sunday - it's easy but good exercise, so I am trying to get out as much as poss - good for LO too, esp with this cold!

Lol, just realised I 'liked' your post - I didn't like it because you're not feeling well, I liked it because you're on day three, which is some feat! It's not easy this diet at first is it!? xxx

It does get easier, I promise :) Week one is definitely the worse, and from different things I've read, during week 3, it's a whole new ball game.
You don't have much to lose at all, so you won't have to do this for long, but do stick with it - seeing the scales at the end of week 1 is so motivating!
Are you having 4 packs a day? I did that for the first week, but now I'm having a couple of days a week where I have 3 packs, and one high protein/low carb meal, and I really do feel like I've had a proper meal! Doesn't really make much difference to calories, and I've found I am actually having less carbs doing that!
Apparently, you get the same results either way, so may be try that?

I've been researching, and anything I find out, I'll put on here. I want to know how this works, why it works, how to maintain, and the science behind it all.
I do love to read up on stuff, and if it helps others, then that's even better!

I can't believe 5lbs of fat weighs the same as a brick! They're so heavy! And look at the size of it! I've got 23 more of those to get rid of yet, yack! The thought of all that yellow stuff in my body is revolting lol!

Had a good day thanks, got lots done, and managed a 2 mile walk in the beautiful sunshine.....making the most of it, it'll be wintery again soon no doubt!

Hope you've had a good day? How're you feeling on the diet? I've felt quite hungry today, more so than usual. Freezing cold though, which is not like me - I'm normally too hot all the time!

Ooooh...what happens in week 3???

I don't know the science behind it yet, but apparently week 2 can be slow on the weight loss front, so I'm not expecting too much from this week.
However, in week 3, things start moving again, and apparently, that's when we'll REALLY start to see results, on the scales, AND in the mirror!

It takes 21 days to break a habit, so towards the end of that week, any cravings, physical and psychological, will diminish too.

Am looking forward to that!! :D
