I've started, and I WILL finish fabulously (that's the plan anyway) :)

Now I feel like a prize *****!!!!!

Hubby obviously knows how I feel - he's offered to look after LO whilst I do something, at least once a week.
AND, he's just given me enough money to pay off my visa, which was bothering me as I hate having debt!

Blimey, he's either had a personality transplant, or he's read this, lolol!

I am grateful he's done that, and I really hope this continues. Not the money, the helping me out!

:D

Me too! :D

How's your day so far? Has your order arrived? xxx

Aw I'm glad at the hubby's turn-around, even if it's rarer than you'd like!! Enjoy it :) Less worry is always good - especially with any debts!
Is there any way you could ask for money up front for child-care? Like asking for cash for nappies and the like? Or sitting down and writing down expenses per week and showing him a list? Maybe he doesn't realise how much it all costs? Who knows, men can be quite ignorant.

Well done on your loss this week!! It's very, very impressive!! *is slightly jealous* :p

Me too!

That was a very nice gesture, paying my visa off (it wasn't huge, but enough!!), and offering to look after LO - I hope he keeps to his word. It should be about balance, so if he does that, I can just about live with everything else!

He's a good idea on how much everything costs - and has agreed that when I go back to work, which is a definite, that we'll split the costs.

We'll see - I've been here before!! ;) But for now, I am happier than I was with the whole situation!

Thank you very much, can't quite believe it, because I thought I would struggle. S&S have replied to me telling me week 2 can be slow, but picks up again after that - I have to take that to be true, as I have no previous experience of this diet.

How're you going? Hope you get some good results too! :) xxx

Maybe start drawing calendar days in advance so that both he and you have notice of the day off. :) Plans change and can't be sprung up at last moment! If there are days in the diary, he might be more likely to keep his word and look after LO. Also maybe assign things he could do while you're away - like tell him to read a little story or watch a certain cartoon with the baby. :) Will make the responsibility easier for him if he knows what to do! :D

You could start now, tell him with plenty of warning - and maybe meet someone in town next week for a coffee for a few hours (start small), so that it gets in as part of your routine on a weekly basis - rather than a shock a few months later when he's forgotten all about the promise! Do it while it's fresh in his mind.

Very good, and very valid points, thank you! I will do that, then at least we both know where we stand.
I'll get the calendar out for when he gets home, lol! :D xxx

Well done on the weight loss!!!!!!!!!! Fab results! You're flying it xxx

Re 2nd week being slower: I've DEFINITELY found my second week slow - haven't lost anything since the one week mark (Friday). I've gone up a pound and back down a few times - 'tis weird! Not gonna get disheartened until I weigh-in on Friday. You could find it very different though - I'm probably just unlucky!

Yup like the ladies say, take him up on his offer asap. Sooner you start the sooner it is the norm!!!

Hiya Periwinkle!

How're you? :)

That's weird! Rob from S&S said it would slow down, then pick up again, but surely you'd still expect to lose something! How can we not, on less than or equal to 650 cals per day?!

He's here now - am off to lay down some rules (nicely!!).

Be back in a bit! ;) xxx

A question?

Meant to ask.....

I've just had the Yoghurt Coated Muesli Bar, it was YUM!

I put it in to the S&S meal Planner, where I keep a track of cals & carbs. It says it only has 3.5g of carbs, yet all the other bars hover around the 15g mark!

Any idea's on this? Surely a bar has more than 3.5g of carbs in it!

Ooooh, Im having that one tonight too! Not sure on carbs though :/

I've sent an email, as I like to keep my carbs around 50g. It has got to be wrong when all the other bars are around 15g!

I'll let you know when I get a reply! :D xxx

I'm sure by the Friday comes I'll have lost something - just nothing like last week. 'Twill be interesting to see what my dietitian says tomorrow... Even my waist appears to have gone up an inch!!!

That's just unexplainable! I don't get it! On so few calories too! Hope your Dietician can may be shed some light on it :) xxx

The muesli bar (is gorgeous!) is smaller...isnt it? Maybe thats partly why its got less carbs?

Yes, but one of the others is too, think it's the Honey & something one - and that's got nearly 14g in it - I think S&S have made a mistake - no way are there only 5.5g carbs in it!! Still waiting for a reply xxx
