Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

Morning Lynne and all :) Not too bad thanks, how are you? I was going to start week 6 of couch to 5k today, but after feeling so sluggish yesterday I have decided to postpone until tomorrow, I do feel better but baba got me up early so I am feeling tired and I don't want to struggle having come so far. Day 1 is 5 and 8 minute jogs which I know I can confidently do now, and I don't want my confidence knocked by trying it when I'm not quite my normal energy levels yet. Hope that made sense! So I will do tues, thurs and fri I think.

My son has his normal 2 hours with my childminder this morning followed by my visit for our weekly catch up when she swaps from childminder to friend mode lol. I will spend my 2 hours trying to re-tidy my downstairs I think. I do hate houseworky stuff :s really need to clean my loo too. Living the high life here haha.

Fooooood well I have had what has become my staple of fruit/quark and maple syrup lol. Although I didn't add the aldi bar today, so I still have my full HE's to use. I also need to get the breadmaker busy and make more buns, but will wait until I am back from my friends later.

Monday lunch always has to be a quickie so will probably be mugshot pasta

Tea tonight is going to be something involving chicken, haven't decided what yet, sticky chicken always goes down well here but I might have a rummage for a new recipe to try.

I actually don't feel like I have my full appetite today, I think saturday nights episode has taken a lot out of me :sigh:

that and my 8 yr old who is chancing her luck and trying my nerves, although having said that, when she is being a pain it usually makes me want to demolish the contents of the fridge lol. Yes emotional eater indeed I am.

I'm good thanks hun, been up at the crack of dawn with my lil' one too:4635: so quite tired also. She also decided to stay up most of the night too which wasn't fun! Think her teeth are coming in.

Think your making the right choice hun having a rest day, you're doing so well with it!

Keep meaning to ask, how do you make your sticky chicken? I use honey and soy sauce but doesn't always get the 'sticky' consistency right wondering if there is something else i could add. xxxxx

lol I will do it imminently Dizzy!

Lynne I use equal parts honey, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar, I chuck it all in a bowl along with the chicken and leave it to soak it up for a while, then cook it in a big frying pan, if you cook it for ages the sauce eventually all dries up and becomes a little sticky, but I like to add a little cornflour mixed with water to thicken it up to a sauce, because we have it with rice and I like to mix the sauce through the rice.

Off to phone the doc's, and make a cuppa! I'm procrastinating over anything else vaguely productive!

Thanks hun! might give the cornflour a go! xxxxx

Ok I did phone the docs but their computers are down so I have to call back this afternoon lol.

I have my cup of tea after being held up be Jehovah's witnesses at the door, I don't mind a little debate but it went on a little long! So now I have a cupshot pasta thing along with my cuppa before nipping back for the baby and my visit!

WP_20130617_001.jpg<<<< this is my herbal tea stash, sometimes it takes me a minute to choose. currently sipping green tea with mango and lychee, yummy.

That is soooooo spooky!!!!! I have JUST 5 minutes ago shut the door to Jehovahs witness myself  I was a little naughty today though  After hobbling to the door to find them there and knowing I would have to stand very uncomfortably and listen politely to them yabber on I deployed my Dear old Dads favourite standby......'Sorry I'm Jewish' (I'm not, but my dad said this always got rid of them as it was a hard faith to try convert??):) they then shut their Bible said sorry for bothering me and left - Job done xxx

I told them I thought I believed in reincarnation today, but they still hung around, I also explained that my Dad is a lay preacher whom I am very close to and if I have any questions I will be talking to him, but they still weren't scared off! (all of that is true by the way) Scottish Jehovah's witnesses must be made of stern stuff lol.

Well the little one is very settled now with his weekly visit to childminders, it's good to know when I go back to work that I don't have to worry about him, My own visit was lovely too, then I popped home, filled the breadmaker to start the dough cycle and went out again (the cycle takes 90 mins) so I dropped into the shop for a solero ice lolly sure it's around 5 syns I will need to check before I add it to my sw diary, then off for a 2.25 mile walk, it's a lovely day here and was a lovely walk :) I felt so much more up to it today than I did yesterday!

I also have a doctors appointment for Friday morning with my favourite Doctor.

sooo this was my tea, chicken breast was nice and moist as it was cooked in chicken stock with a little curry powder, with frylight roasted potato, parsnip and butternut squash

and these, are wholemeal buns just out the oven

WP_20130617_004.jpg

Everybody in this house seems to have a storming fast metabolism except me :cry:my 8 yr old has just demolished a whole chicken breast, a whole carrot, a double helping of roast potato, a pear, a packet of crisps, and is now munching on a hot roll fresh out the oven cut in half with chocolate spread, and there is NOTHING of her!!! not an ounce of chub on her tiny frame.

Omg those rolls look good!

The world is so cruel with us and our metabolisms....my son is really tall and stick thin yet eats nothing resembling anything healthy .....how does that work??? Xx

the rolls are good, a little flatter than the ones from the supermarket but still nice to eat and I know what is in them! :) too much crappy stuff added to food nowadays.

The rolls really are not difficult to make if you have a breadmaker either. I found that we really weren't eating the loaves of bread quick enough and they were going stale so that's why I defaulted to making buns.

My baby is really trying to crawl, he already manages to get from one side of the room to the other with a combination of rolling, spinning and commando style shuffling lol, but at least that takes time, he'll be crawling soon I think and then I will be in trouble! I am really pleased to see him doing so well though, after his impatient arrival (just over 6 weeks early) I worried about him a lot but he's turning out just fine.

Those rolls do look great I can smell them from here lol - I rarely have bread these days.

Awww that will be lots of Body Magic when hes crawling lol

I'm not eating bread that often myself texty, but we use the buns on 'burger' day, and sometimes I cut them in half and make mini pizza with them. They are small enough to be a HE, obviously not endorsed by sw but I can't see why not.

Hubby and daughter will demolish them though :)

My hooligan baby woke me up at 0445, so I nipped into his room and flipped him over as he was stuck on his tum, but he didn't settle as well as he usually does I was up twice again within an hour before he seemed to settle and go back to sleep! So I am a bit dozy feeling today. However I have been productive, been downstairs since 7, I have given my daughter cereal, fed my son a bottle, emptied the dishwasher and put all the stuff away, loaded the washing machine and tumble dryer, and am now sat with my first cup of herbal tea of the day. I'm leaving breakfast until a bit later as I am planning my treadmilling this morning.

My eyes are itchy so will need to crack open the allergy eyedrops

Food today, usual fruity breakfast, lunch I think I shall have bacon and egg, tea tonight is cottage pie. Usually I make it with carrots in the mince, and a mix of sweet and normal potato on top with some cheese. I might pop up to the shop and buy a turnip to mash with carrot to top my portion and make it a red day.

Happy Tuesday everyone :) weigh in eve for me, but I'm bearing in mind I had my meal out at the weekend and preparing myself incase it's a sts. I wouldn't expect a gain though.

Aww hun it's not much fun being up at that time is it. Mine had me up loads again, wish these teeth would hurry up lol. Food sounds lovely for today hun! You are way ahead of me in the housework/organisation today lol i still have all of the above to do (apart from kids breakfasts.... that has been done lol) xxx

I knew I'd likely lose motivation for the chores later Lynne lol, but believe me I am behind on pretty much everything else again.

I have completed session 1 of week 6 :whacky068::bliss:

and am sat here with strawberries, blueberries, quark and cereal bar with maple syrup nyum nyum nyum
