JanD into the third year of maintenance :-D

I wrote my cards just last night. If I don't get it done early, it ends up in a terrible rush. I like to enjoy pre Christmas rather than be in a last minute tizzy.

Yer, where are you Jan?!! xx

Ditto! Hope your ok x

Jan, hope all is o.k. with you.

I sent Jan a text last night to make sure she was okay, she is fine but just busy and it looks like it might be Friday before she gets back onto Mini's.

Ah great minds Mary - I did the same but today when I got up! lol x

I'm not surprised you're so busy Jan (when you read this), it sounds like you're having a pretty manic time! Hope you've been keeping well, missing your kind inputs! Be great to have you back soon. Xx

Well I'm still alive!! :D ... I've just been really busy and the times I'd normally come on here my son and boys have been around too & I didn't want to isolate myself from them :)
They're still here but in the other room at the moment. There's no sign of them being able to move back in yet  - I'm hoping it's one of these things that will suddenly all come together and be done! They will be coming back when the new bathroom goes in though because they'll have no loo for 5 days. It's been over 2 weeks so far and love having them around, but I know there'll be a big PHEW!! When they go home!! ;)
I was priding myself in never giving them the same evening meal twice but tonight's was a repeat ... still not bad after 16 days eh! And they DID have cous cous with it instead of new pots ;)

I didn't get weighed on monday and haven't been weighed since. However I can tell you for nothing I've gained (AGAIN!!) I'm REALLY uncomfortable now. I've a HUGE muffin, can hardly breather when I'm sitting down and can feel the legs of my jeans hugging my thighs when i'm walking (yuck!) and these are the BIG jeans, not the smaller, nicer ones - no chance of getting into them.
I keep thinking 'right that's IT' and then going and having something else .... I'm hating it but can't seem to do anything about it :(.

DD has her 24hr ecg from tomorrow morning so hopefully that's a step nearer to sorting her out! She's gone back to her flat - she wanted her own 'things' and she was also getting disturbed by the boys getting ready early for school and the dogs (it's dogS coz we've got their shitzu here as well as our Holly) barking every time the wind blows!!! I miss the comfort of her being within looking after distance but understand her reasons.

Thanks for your messages and texts :D - It's nice to be missed
I really need to get my head back around this weight control malarky!!

Oh yeah - the down side of having DS & DGSs here is that I'm trying to do a pastel of their little yorkie who died earlier this year and I can't work on it at home, so it might not be ready in time for christmas :( x

Don't know if I'll have time to catch up an all the threads but if I don't tonight I'll do it tomorrow in work.

I don't know how you young'uns cope with a small family, home, work etc etc ... mind you I suppose you ARE a lot younger ;) xx

Ahhh nice to have you back around!
Hope the ecg goes ok for your daughter tomorrow - should that hopefully find out what is wrong with her/if its permanent etc? You are only a phonecall away from her though and i'm sure she will phone if she needs you Jan :) I bet she just wanted some space. How is she doing since the break up?

LOL never repeating the same meal twice! What are you crazy?!! No wonder your so busy! If I was in your position it'd be batch load cooking ;)

I hope you get a chance to finish that pic, be sure to let us see it too when its finally done! :) xxx

HaHa - I feel as though I'm batch cooking every day Tan :D - though only 5 of us now DDs gone.

Hopefully the ecg will give them some idea of what's going on - she then has an echo on 19th which will hopefully give them further info.

DH found a thing on teletext yeaterday that marathon training can damage the heart muscle and lead to arythmia ... in most people it rights itself if they don't train for a week or so, the odd one has it for life :( .. She's going to be devastated if she can't run!!

Someone in my art class was telling me yesterday that she had this inher 30s (she's now my age) - nobody could find out what was causing it. Eventually she went for acupunture which cured it after 2 sessions and she's never had it since..... so there's another possibility - hopefully xx

Uh oh! Has she laid off the running since the first ep?
I hope she can be cured:D :fingerscrossed: x

Yes, she was told not to do ANY exercise - it's killing her!

BTW - someone asked about the ex gf .... she got in touch yesterday and said she thought she'd made a big mistake and could they try again... thankfully DD took great delight in telling her where to go & stick herself .. it gave her a great boost :D xx

Ha good on her!!! :D x

Fingers crossed you get some good news from your daughter's time spent in hospital today. I saw in the papers a couple of days ago that marathon training can damage your heart, they said it was good news for dieters that they didn't have to run cos it would damage them!! Hope all goes well!

Jan, hope some progress is made with your daughter. You are really having a trying time all round. Food has got to be bottom of your priorities right now.

Thanks folks :)

DDs not actually in hospital - she had to go this morning to have the monitor fitted then go about her normal life and go back tomorrow to take it back.
Let's hope it shows something diagnosable and CURABLE!

I haven't been TOOO bad today foodwise. Probably because DS & DGSs were out for tea so DH had his usual friday chippy tea (oh yeah - just remembered I had the very end off the fish and 4 chips ) and I had some left over turkey stew from last week.
For lunch I had a small tin of pilchards in tomato sauce with salad
I didn't have any breakfast because I had a long lie in with starting work tonight.
This afternoon I had some left over turkey thigh because i was hungry when i got back from tescos
Tonight I had 3 tsps of peanut butter and a small banana at mum's
I've brought to work a mrb & 2 boiled eggs.

That's all a bit backwards & mixed up isn't it??!! Lol! And actually not all that good when you look at it, BUT a heck of a lot better than I've been lately!!! xx

Looks picky but ok Hun. and like u say a lot better :)

Fingers crossed for DD then :D x

You're great to make the effort on watching food intake despite all your worries. Here's hoping the monitor helps identify dd's problem.

I did have 4 squares of choc in the night

2 teaspoons of peanut butter at mums' this morning :(

Breakie 2 weetabix, splenda & skimmed milk

Bed

Tea - tin tuna & salad with el salad cream

baby bel
tangerine
2 slices turkey ham

I think these 'bits' are because we're eating earlier because of having the boys here. Can't expect 7 & 10 yr olds to wait till after 7pm to eat to the latest we're eating is 6.

I've brought a mrb & 2 boiled eggs to work. I was going to have a wrap but I forgot to get them out of the freezer x
