I don't know Moss - I only know Armthorpe coz it's where my friend lives - I've never even been into the town centre!

I'm taking my little Asus notebook away with me but I don't know where or if I'll find a wifi connection, so apart from texting a status to FB now and again I may not be around till a week tomorrow (18th).

I think I'll be able to get on at Hilton Park services while I'm waiting for the Birmingham rush hour traffic to subside in the morning AND I think my B&B has it tomorrow night .... though actually I've just had a look and it's not mentioned so I don't know where I got that idea from.
I may be thinking about all the hotels I've been talking to because after I've been back a week I'm taking Mum to Llandudno mon-fri - now THAT hotel deffo has it!
I found myself with an enforced weeks holiday because the lad I look after is going away so I thought it'd be nice to get Mum a change of scenery.

Yep just me & Mum in a fortnight but NO - DH not invited - just me this week

HaHa - seriously though, he's got no holidays left but having said that I DO like a few days on my own now and then as you know. .... Not that I'll BE on my own as except for tomorrow night I'm staying with friends or family. It'll be different though - I'm sure we'll all put the world to rights

I'm not saying my cousin is like me but when I told her I had 2 bottles of Pinot Grigio and 2 bottles of Merlot all ready to take to hers where I'm staying for 2 nights she asked me what I was gonna drink xx

Hell yeah - he gets 3 weeks - I get 8!! (Extra week coz of long service and days coz we work bank holidays)

Having said that he's out of a job after september (the company he works for have lost the Learn Direct contract) so he might be on permanent holiday! I'll have to find a different excuse to b*gger off on my own then won't I?
He WILL be getting another job though - permanent retirement is NOT an option .... not if he wants to a/stay married and b/live!! :giggle: xx

I must admit it IS good .... I'm not complaining but sometimes it's hard to fit them all in!! I always end up getting paid for a few hours ... mind you that's mainly because I get an odd number of hours which, after taking weeks and/or nights off I'm left with 4 hrs or something - as a night is 9hrs I can't really take it. Though this year i have an extra 5.5 hrs for the royal wedding so that makes an extra night.

This is really boring .... sorry :giggle: xx

Well not really but we can't have more than 2 weeks together and we're supposed to have 3 weeks between April & September and 3 weeks between October & March .... work that one out!!

I don't know - time just goes so quickly and I only work part time. I mean I haven't had any hols this holiday year yet - this week will be the first, so on average I need to take a week off every month to get through them all!! As it is I've got this week, the enforced week in a fortnight, 2 weeks in sept, a week at the beginning of december and 2 weeks in March. Coz I had to choose dates for the remaining time I randomly chose a week in january which leaves me with 1 night + 1.5hrs!

How much do you get? xx

That's alot, I'll have it if you can't use it! !! We get 20days (I think) but I always 'buy' extra which gives me 30days a year, never enough!!! Lol

Were just not allowed holiday in December and the rest of the year it's done on percentage like 20% of nightshift is allowed to be on holiday in the summer months but a but less in other months!

Oh yeah we have the restrictions on how many can be off at any one time but I don't really know the numbers - I just make requests and get them approved or not as the case may be.

Jan, hope you have a great time away. Even though it's nice going on hols with DH, it's also good to spend time with friends and family. You are great to your mum taking her away for a week. I was in Llandudno first when I was 12. My first holiday!! I've often gone back to it for sentimental reasons.

I like Llandudno Molly and it's just far enough for Mum's bladder!

Oh I'm sure we will Mary - just got to get the timing right! ) I had a lovely afternoon in Exmouth yesterday which I wouldn't have seen if plans hadn't changed. My room had been upgraded too so the accommodation was really nice.

I'm currently en route to Tintagel, having a coffee in a Little Chef just off the A30, stealing their wifi - if you can steal something that's free.

Foodwise haven't been too good.
Yesterday - Monday 11th
Breakie - LT choc whip

Lunch - BL bar

Tea - A sweet chilli chicken wrap in (or more accurately outside of in the sun ) a Hungry Horse without the chilli but with mayo instead.

Had that really early so - so that i wouldn't be tempted by the biccies in the room I bought a weeto bar - which i ate later on, followed by the 3 jammy dodgers I was trying to avoid!

Had 2 glasses of wine during the afternoon and a few V&Cs in the evening

Today - Tuesday 12th
Breakie - Full English including toast & butter - still have the 'it's paid for so I'm having it' mentality, doubt if I'll ever lose that now. Funny though how the table full of cereals, juices and fruit though still 'paid for' are easy to leave alone!!

I'll have a bar for lunch, don't have control over tonight, though my friend knows I'm trying to be 'careful'. I also have another weeto bar and 3 little packets of biscuits in my case (well - YOU wouldn't have left them there either! lol!)

Battery starting to fail now so won't be able to catch up on all your threads - hopefully another time xx
