Hi Jane, are you still around? Hope so. Hope you're doing ok - I've been off plan for months but went back to SW on Wed so now back on track!

I'm well thanks and still staying with the diet, although I've been sticking at the same weight for a couple of months now. I went to India for five weeks over Christmas and only put on 1lb! Since then though, I've eaten every bit of rubbish in sight. I don't know why!! I really must get back into it and not cheat. I'm away next week so shall try hard, avoid sauces, butter, cream etc and only drink low cal drinks and water.

It's good to hear from you. Maybe I'll make an effort and try to post again. I should also reread what I ate in the early days. That might help.

Great you're still around Jane!

That's amazing you were away for five weeks and only put on 1lb! How was India? Is it Goa you were in?

I joined back last Wednesday and I was 8lbs lighter than this time last year which is a bonus! On day 5 and so far so good xxxx
 
Well done. How did you manage that! I was 4lb heavier this morning so lost two overnight. Mind you I have been pigging out this week! It was goa. We love it there. If you ever go, head for south goa, it's much nicer than the north. It's quieter and. Bit more jungly. Is that a made up word. We are away this week in Stamford. The hotel is gorgeous. I succumbed to cheese and crackers after my meal. My meal was good though, halibut, a few new spuds (no butter) and green veg. I had one glass of wine and two small prices of bread. So to too bad. I need to get back Into it properly! Bye for now, got an early start. Btw it's lovely to hear from you xx
 
Hi Jane how has your week away been? Sound like you've made some good food choices so that's great.

I only lost 1lb this week (1st weigh in) but I think it was something to do with the fact I joined at the Wednesday morning class and I got weighed at the following Tuesday night class so I suppose it was a few pounds out (hopefully!! I can put on up to 4lb in a day), back to normal Wed am class next week so hopefully the loss will show then.
 
1lb is better than nothing. I'm fully expecting a gain next week! I got my friend to pick up the new mag in group and I plan to follow that when I get back home. Hopefully starting on Sunday. I'm having a cheese and wine evening next weekend for hubby's 60th (he's such an old fart). I plan on buying some chicken tikka for me and my neighbour as she is also following the Sw diet. I'm not a big drinker so that won't be a problem. I'm expecting about 45 guests so ill have to buy loads of nibbles and that may be my downfall!!!

This week I've tried to make good choices but have probably over indulged on the bread front. Breakfast today, porridge made with water plus a Yog, then bacon, eggs, mushroom and Tom.

Well I'm well and truly full now. I stirred a low fat Yog into my porridge and sliced a banana on top. Delicious. The bacon was lean and there was no butter on the mushroom, so a perfect Sw breakfast and a big one too :) xx

Hi crystal. Lovely to hear from you. I'm back in the fold of Sw. In fact I never left but somehow have managed to put a stone on since Christmas!!! It's just so hard at times. I eat out far too often for my own good. Wish the weather would warm up, I'm sure that'd help. xx

I've been searching the site for info on The Fast Diet and am going to try it. My weight is horrendous right now. I'm still going to Sw but I'm not sure why I'm bothering!

Yesterday I had my first fast day and ate 512 calories. Today is a feast day and I've eaten 1,672 calories. Oddly I'm starving tonight but yesterday's fast was relatively easy. I may fast tomorrow. I need to do something as I'm away on holiday for ten days from Monday!

I will update my weight when I get around to it but for now I will just post my losses (I'm thinking positively).
 
I've decided today will be another fast day as I'm going to be fairly busy. I didn't realise that black coffee has 5 cals per cup!! Anyway the book says I can have black drinks so that's ok. I've got a low cal ready meal for later, I know that's lazy but I've decided it's the easiest way to do fast days.

Last weekend we went to a four day music festival and although I was fairly careful with food (but not wine) I gained 6lb!! It's ridiculous. This morning I jumped on the scales and 4.5lb of that has gone. I know it's not real weight loss but I'm still pleased.

I measured myself this morning and my waist, hips and bust are 2 inches bigger than last year. I've also realised that, as my waist should be less than half my height, I need to lose 10 inches off it.
 
I'm so hungry........I must think of the health benefits, plus I can eat normally tomorrow.

I had a cereal bar about 9 last night so that's 15 hours fasting so far :)
 
Doing well with my fast today:). My friend tried to tempt me with a fresh cream scone but I resisted. I had a decaf coffee with a splash of skimmed milk. Probably about 25 cals. I'm not sure if I have to count the skimmed milk as breaking my fast or not! If not, I will have gone 20 hours with no food. Think I will be eating very soon though.
 
Nearly time for bed. Had a sainsburys creamy laksa chicken noodle soup for tea at 322 cals. Just had an apple at 93 (I was surprised how much the apple was but I weighed it and it's correct). Calories in total today are 490. I'm having a caffeine free diet coke before bed. Fingers crossed I have a drop tomorrow.

Total calories so far in three days: 2666. So that's 889 on average each day.
