Jenni's diary: Given up chocolate!

Hi chick, hope you've got your shopping done by now?

You said to ask you if I wanted to know anything about the mini-cruise and I DO have a couple of questions.

I'm guessing that most of the entertainment is included in the price i.e. shows etc. but I was wondering if the cinema is also included?

I'm trying to work out how much cash I'll need to take with me... so if we only have to pay for food and drinks I'll be prepared for it but if they charge entry into the disco, swimming pool etc. I'll need more.

Any information gratefully received. :D

Oh nooooo I typed a really long reply and it got lost. Ah well, here we go again! :D

Shows/piano bar/disco are included, though if it's anything like the Hull ones, then the disco bit is full of 15 year olds until about 11pm
Cinema isn't, though I don't know how much it is - expect to pay a bit more than normal.

I don't know about a pool! There definitely isn't a pool on the Hull ferries, as you travel overnight (it'd be a bit nippy! :D) I'd *imagine* it would be included in the price if there is one on the Bilbao ferry.

Word of warning, pay for everything in pound sterling on the ferry! I got caught out when paying for breakfast with euros, and the exchange rate was something like 1.3-1.4

You can't bring any alcohol for consumption on board, and I can't remember if you're allowed to being any alcohol on board at all - not that you'd want to, wine is soooo much cheaper on the continent :D

Have a great time! Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything else :)

And, well, I've got SOME of my shopping done  I do still have over a week left though :p

What browser do you use? If I accidently press back the text is still there when I go forward. I use Firefox, wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I use Chrome. I dunno if it's got anything to do with anything :p some computer related things I just know nothing about!

Getting there then Jenni, hope Jon is doing OK and you're ready for the off next week

M

Jon's spent most of this week drunk (and so he should!) and is having a pretty good time from the sounds of it. We've been together 11 months today :) (decide for yourself whether that means the 23rd or 24th - we're not sure either! :p)

It means I'll be home in a month :) which is nice. It's Jon's birthday on the 23rd so he's going home - so I figured I would too otherwise I wouldn't see him for our anniversary :(

My list of things to buy for uni is rapidly shortening! Scary stuff. Soon I'll have to start clearing out my drawers! :( and washing clothes and that sort of thing. Scaaary.

Completely random, but I think this is a pretty awesome smiley: :flirt2:

:p

I've gotten to that point where I just can't bear it any more. My weight is starting to really get me down and I HAVE to take action soon.

I've decided to do LL when I get down to London. A LCD suits me very well and I think the CBT sessions will be worth double the extra money, because I just haven't dealt with my food issues at all.

I honestly can't wait. I loved doing CD and hopefully LL will be pretty good too. I'm going to take my favourite size 10 jeans down with me for inspiration. I love them sooooo much and cannot wait to get back into them. I'll print off my 9 stone pictures as inspiration too :D

In other news, 2 and a half days until I see Jon! :p

Good luck with LL my dear i hope it goes well for you. xx

I'm setting off for uni in a few mins :D scary stuff! So I won't be around for a while.

I've decided that I'm going to wait until I come home in a few weeks (24th Oct) to decide what I'm doing, as until then I can't gauge whether I'm losing or gaining weight. Also it means 3 weeks of party party party until I start the dieting :p

I'm going to try doing PMcK properly from today. I'm bl**dy starving right now though! :p

See you all soon. :)

xx

Unis pretty good so far. Fairly tame though! :p:
I seem to have made friends with people who are FAR too concerned with their work which is a bit annoying. Your first year is generally worth around 10% but some people are really bothered about working really hard right now! Don't get it at all.
So during the week they won't go out because they have lectures, and at the weekend they won't go out because it's too expensive!

So anyway, I'm trying to find less boring people to hang around with at the moment. :p

Dietwise I've decided to do CD again, but this time I know why I got overweight, by which I don't mean 'I'm overweight because I ate too much', I'm overweight because I ate too much because I was using food to bury emotions. I have a better plan this time too! :) I'm going to use CD to get to 9st and then maintain with PMcK. I'm also going to properly follow the CD plans all the way up, instead of just jumping off at 1000 calories.

Need to email the local CDCs in the next few days to ask a few questions and stuff. :)
Looking forward to this actually :) can't wait to get back to 9 stone!

Hi Jenni - glad you have settled in in London - and I agree with you - get yourself some fun mates...I suppose that's the problem in going to a "clever clogs" uni - you get a lot of studious types there.

well done for deciding to get back with the CD plan - good luck when you get started. Have you looked at W8? It allows you 4 mealpacks a day (and a "meal" if you want one - which I do) and I think the losses are similar - maybe ever so slightly slower, not sure.

I did have a look at W8 - but have decided to go with CD again because it's familiar. I like familiar things :p:

I've emailed the closest 5ish counsellors today, waiting on responses from most at the moment before I decide which one to choose :)

Going to pick up my blender and the CD packs I have left from my house, I'm going home tomorrow! Not sure if I want to or not, I'm only really going home because Jon is, and it's our anniversary today/tomorrow :)

I've got myself a shift at work tomorrow which just about makes up for the cost of going home :p:

I'll probably update after the weekend! :)

It's still my same job at the football stadium - I work there when I'm free, basically, and then when I'm in London I don't work at all. Means I've got a nice £25 coming in this month :)

I'm visiting Jon either this weekend or next weekend - though not sure when I'll have started CD!

I had a pretty good weekend. Worked a shift, went for a meal with my parents, went out with my old friends, saw Jon and had a meal with the extended family (me, my brother and sister, all our other halves, and my parents).

Currently on the train home, got about half an hour until I get into King's Cross - lovely.

In response to what you said on your diary - I do believe my head is in the right place. I feel unhappy enough with where I am right now to get started, and I really really really want to be 9 stone enough to keep me motivated all the way there.
I have now picked up my remaining CD shakes - they all went out of date literally 3 days ago! :p I'm going to try them and, provided they taste OK, I'll use them to ease myself into it on the higher plans, since they lose a bit of nutrients after the date. I still have my yellow booklet, I almost threw it out at one point but glad I didn't!

I can't wait to start! I've decided which counsellor to go with, so I'll give them a ring voer the next day or two. :)

Good for you. Some of my shakes went out of date in August but I still used them - being a tight Scot and all that! Couldn't possibly throw them away.

Will keenly follow your progress - and let's make sure this is the last time for both of us with liquid diets! xx
