Hahaha, beef welly police, I like it...!!!!
Since Saturday, I have been finding things tough. Not so much the dietting, I have managed to stick to that, in the main. It's all the usual things - Parents unhappy, work busy with no support, being completely thrown in at the deep end while the Boss is on leave, unhappy friends needing support, and it was my friend's mum's funeral, I was a witness to a car crash on tuesday so had to speak to police and stuff, plus I had to go to the doctors for another checkup and some of you will know how much I cannot stand that place.! Add to this one majorly distant Biker Boy, who can seemingly only say "I'm too busy at work" and "sorry"... Literally, those were the only words I heard for 3 days, which conveniently fell around our anniversary: the weekend together was cancelled, the meal I planned, cancelled, because he was too busy at work. I wasn't hounding him, I left him to it, but when I'd text at night to say hope things were going ok and that he was getting somewhere at work, I was getting no replies. Needless to say, after a day or three of this, I got upset, and came to the conclusion we had run our course, or whatever the phrase is.
Then last night I thought I had nowt to lose so I text the boy and said if he gets finished at a reasonable time, it's nice bike weather and there'll be plenty of pasta for tea if he wanted to come round, about half 7, no pressure. By the time I got home, I had a text saying "maybe, I'll see what I feel like when I get home"...
It got to 7:20 and I hadn't heard from him, so I guessed it was a no. My parents were having a heated discussion, and I felt pretty low, so I started on the chocolate. And then about 15 minutes later the dogs started going mental, because someone had come into the house...
Long story short, he explained the seriousness of the stuff at work - it's leading to redundancies as the company has lost so much work. They're looking at a 30% reduction in staff and he will be losing people off his team but his job is safe.
He has insisted that I go out on friday, to this Girls Night, and he said he will pick me up so I can have a drink
Which is good, considering it's a cocktail night...!
We spoke about diets too. He said he knows I'm feeling down recently, and when he heard about this 10lb challenge, he said it's a great idea and wishes us all luck! And then we started looking into how to kidnap a baby gorilla. There's a baby gorilla on the way at London Zoo, it's meant to be born this month, so there is a chance that it'll be there when we go in 16 sleeps. However, they are also introducing a new Daddy gorilla to the herd [is it a herd of gorillas??!] and Daddy gorillas don't like babies that aren't their own, so there is a chance the baby might get killed. So if it's there when we are, we're going to save the baby gorilla.
Food's not too bad. Too many snacks maybe, need to concentrate on "filling food" and whatnot......
Hope to get a catch up tonight, I need to ebay a heap of junk, so I'll be kicking about near the PC............!!
The job search continues. Gads..
