Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

Hi jess last time my bum hurt that much was from a week cycling while at center parcs! OMG i could literally have cried
sad-smiley-011.gif
every time i had to sit on that bike(i can feel the pain now),mind you back then i was 12st 4lb & so bl**dy unfit its a wonder i survived the week at all! x

See, you should have gone to Brighton ;)

Then you could have said hello to my son as well as he has recently moved there and is assistant manager of Po Na Na.

Well done on sticking to your points x

I did enjoy it really Karen! The down hill bits were great ;) Wheeee. Brighton would have been rammed with the nice weather anyway.

Well Indian was disappointing.. I couldn't find the menu for the one I liked and forgot what it was called so tried a new place. I had a korma, it was ok but too hot for a korma. I don't mind heat, but not in a korma! It was also too saffrony.. It seemed one of those fancy ones that are more authentic. Give me the English crap :p Anyway, neither of us finished our curries and we were uncomfortably full. I think I can fit curries into my points if we have half a curry and rice each :)

I've decided that I'm going to sell my car if I pass my CBT (that I decided a couple of hours ago I would like to take :p).. which I hear is easy to do. Then I'll buy a cheap 125cc motorbike! It's going to probably cost about another £500 to pass my driving test and car upkeep is expensive. I don't have the time or money right now! I want my freedom and it's much cheaper and quicker on a bike ;) Plus no traffic and extra cool factor! I hope I'm ok and not completely terrified.

Wow well done on your cycling that's epic!!! You totally deserved your little treat.

Sorry i have been away for a bit. It took me a while to catch up.

Good plan with the career progression at work. I'm sure you'll hit manager status quicker than you'd think if they keep getting you to train everyone.

Take care and have a good week. (though no doubt i will catch up with you before the week is through) :) xxx

Wow you are brave wanting a bike jess
action-smiley-083.gif
! Although i can see you as a biker chick!
As a mum i want to say "be careful" how sad! xx

Hi jess, can see you as a biker chick and you do list all the benefits of a bike, however as a seasoned pillion passenger would say look at the other side too, they are much less fun in the rain or winter, and not so great for transportation of things-ie imagine taking cassie to the vets strapped to the back in her cat box LOL they are fun but even MrB who loves his harley wouldnt have one as his main vehicle-but then again lots of people do.

Dont mean to rain on your idea but want you to be fully informed.

Aww, that's so nice, hehe :)

Yeah, I know all the downsides but it's rather a case of bike or no transportation at all at the moment :p I probably won't be driving until Christmas but if I sell the car I'll have the money to get a bike, will get some car insurance back for the insurance and can afford to spend a couple of hundred to get gear. I really don't like driving but I will definately take lessons again once I've got a proper full time job and can take my time.

As for transporting things, I'll just be using it to get to and from work and college. Adam will still be Cassi and Jess taxi ;)

Lol, I don't know, I won't try it out in front of him. He's pushing me to get a motorbike though, he says I "will look really hot". Men . Therefore he has to continue being the only driver, but I am going to let him ride the bike.. he's going to take his CBT too. He had a go on his boss's 600cc bike, drove 1 metre and fell off. Think he wants to mend his bruised ego! He's very good though, he never complains about picking me up from work and giving me lifts :) Good man he is!

aww isnt he sweet? i think once you get your own transport though you will wonder how you managed even with him giving you lifts everywhere.. i love my independence and knowing i can zip out in my car to see my friends or to work or wherever i need to go :) bike sounds really exciting.. will you get a cool helmet with one of those brushes on it? :D x

A Bike !!! How exciting !!!

Not a fan myself - seen too many fatals.

My ex husband crazed for one when we were married and I wouldn't let him, when we split up he got one and although he is really careful and only uses it to me-ander round country lanes on a weekend he still managed 5 weeks off work injured after hitting a patch of oil - he was only doing 20mph too !!!!

Too scary for me lol but then look @ some of the car drivers on the roads......

I'd personally never get a bike - too scared I'd fall off! Then again, I'm hesitant to learn to drive too because I'm convinced I'll kill someone and total my car :p so maybe you should just ignore me, haha.

Bikes are cool though. Just make sure you get decent leathers/helmet cause my mum has told me some horror stories from her time as a nurse

Trust Adam to say that - men, eh? Jon's the same too. Still, at least we don't have to worry about whether or not they find us attractive :p

xx

mooooooorning Jess :D

JUST POPPING IN TO SAY HI.........

just kidding :D

i know its only been a day but any further progress with getting a bike? :D i'll get one and we can do sunday / bank holiday rides together - whoop! However, I am dibsing a lime green ducati + amazing leathers and helmet (with a brush on the top :D) to match!

Motorbikes all the way!!!

HI RAAACH! Thanks for everyone for visiting my diary (doing an M here ;)). I will the rounds tonight after work.

Regarding the bike Rach, I still want it but not getting it just now. Need to sell the car first to get the money for everything.. though that probably won't cover the bike, the gear (I want really good gear! I love my skin!) and the CBT. May have to wait for uni loan as I want to be able to buy the bike and stuff soon after CBT so I don't forget/chicken out. So very exciting! Adam's boss (well most people in his office actually) ride/used to ride bikes. His boss is going to give me high vis stuff, yay and some gloves. Plus a graphics card on an unrelated note.. nice chap.

You can have whatever bike you want ;) I'm getting a bucket of crap as I apparently will fall off a lot to start with and will dent/scratch/break the bike.

Well I'm back! I left my purse on the piano.. I was right near the bus stop when I realised. Panic panic, can I get back home and then back to the bus stop in time for the bus? There's only one every hour and that gets me in time for work by 5 minutes if I start at half past which I did today.. so I would have been an hour late. I thought about getting a taxi (expensive) or getting the other bus that comes 12 minutes later but takes 30 minutes longer, being just 30 minutes late. Anyway, it was all irrelevent, I keep my key in my purse which was in the house! I phoned work to tell them I wouldn't be in as I'd locked myself out the house with no money to get into work. I managed to get in by climbing through the small window at the top of the double doors in the back. I had to climb onto the big bin, go in head first, lean in as far as I could (at this stage none of me is on the bin, I'm just hanging through a window) and turn the key to let myself through the door. The cat is just staring at me like wtf? My next door neighbours' door was open so I hope they didn't see! :p I have a picture of the window I had to climb through (Adam took it, don't ask ), so I'll attach it. A day off work though, so nice. I could probably go in and be an hour late but I have so much housework to do, I'll just do that instead!
