Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

1500 posts, whoo!

I've decided not to weigh myself for a month. I keep weighing myself everyday and can't stop. I'm getting too hung up on what I lose each day. So, I'm just going to focus on eating healthily and sticking to points instead of weight loss for now. I'll hope on the scales at the beginning of September and see what I've managed to do :) Feels very liberating!
Wow thats determination for you! Do you think you will stick to it(not that i doubt you!)..i would have to take the scales to my mums house 40miles away to make sure i didnt step on them for a whole month!! xx
 
I think I will have to take the batteries out and put the scales out of sight. I only weigh in the morning so it'll be too much effort to reassemble, lol.
 
Jess, I think both of those are great ideas - we spend too much time letting a figure on a set of scales dictate our self-esteem; good luck with the monthly weighing!

I think the good deed for the day and keeping a record of them is also a fab idea; there are too few random acts of kindness in the world.

Re your screen name, if you pm Irene or Starlight, they should be able to sort that for you - what are you thinking of changing it to?
 
Didn't weigh myself today for the first time in ages. I love it, I think it's going to be easy now I've taken the loss out of the picture for a while I don't really care :D

Points today:

Lunch - Cheese burger (6) and fries (5.5)
Dinner - Chicken breast (2.5), potato croquettes (4), gravy (0.5) and peas (0.5)
Snack - 4 small squares of Dairymilk (3)

22 points.. 1 point over, but worked today so that's fine :)

Edit: Eek, looking over that, it's not very healthy! Tomorrow I will have a deli and a fruit bag for lunch and I'll have some breakfast! Muesli and orange juice, mmm.

Well today I got up early enough to have breakfast! Shocker!

B - Weetabix (1.5), milk (0.5) and tsp sugar (0.5). Orange juice (1.5)
L - Veggi deli (8.5), fruit bag (0.5)
D - Stir fry (6)
S - Chocolate (3)

22/21.. Over by 1, but work day again. Busy busy today. My legs were hurting but I had a loooong hot bath :) Bed soon I think!
 
Had breakfast again :) Don't know if it will happen when I have to leave earlier tomorrow.

B - 2 slices of granary toast (3), spread (1) and small glass of skimmed milk (1).

Dinner is going to be 2 pittas with roasted veg, houmous and tzatziki - (6).

10 points for lunch.

I am.. I don't like the McChicken sandwich though, the shape offends me. Doesn't fit in the bun! Hehe. I will probably have a cheese burger, small fries and fruit bag. Or maybe a mayo chicken and medium fries... decisions :p Anyway, best get into some clothes and out the door!
 
Well I had my 10 points lunch. It was cheeseburger, small fries and fruit bag after all. I only had 3.5 points for dinner though as I wasn't hungry enough for 2 pittas. I'm going to save that 2.5 points for the weekend. We're possibly going to Brighton for the day Saturday and I'm definately going to a party on Sunday. I plan to do 0 point curry for din dins Saturday night and a low point breakfast so I can have lots of points for fish and chips/ice cream (depends on the weather!). For Sunday I'll have a low point brunch like poached eggs on toast :) If I do go over I can drop some points next week because it won't show on the scales Monday.. ha, loving that I'm not weighing in for a month :D Though I think the date I put is 5 weeks, not 4. Better change that actually as I might go into the 11s and will need to drop a point.

Bought dinner for the next 2 days.. chicken/frylite roasted new pots/brocolli and steak/boiled new pots/salad.

There is chocolate in my fridge and I'm not eating it! :eek:

20/21. I ate my subway at 4 though and I'm starving now. I think I may have to use my spare points from yesterday to add to the 1 for something to eat. I will try chugging some water first though.

I can't wait for the weekend, I'm tired. I am so hot and sweaty at work it feels like I'm doing one of those sauna work outs. I climbed a ladder to get a box of spoons down and it made me sweat! There are no windows or aircon and lots of cookers :cry:plus I trained someone today and yesterday and I trained someone else recently who was sooo bad they got rid of him. When you get fired from McDonalds you might as well give up :p I would bet good money that I'll be training every new person that comes in for a while. It's just tiring though, I can sort of imagine what it's like being a parent and not being able to leave a child. It doesn't help that most people aren't English, so there's a language barrier. I know why it comes down to me all the time, it's because I'm a good example.. I'm quick and polite. I just wish someone else could do it sometimes! I'm not the only one becoming a crew trainer :cool: Ah well, after crew trainer I can hopefully become a manager before long which means more money and a better uniform! Plus it will be good for my CV :) I'm going to apply for graduate training programs. Just need to get the careers lady to help me write a good CV when I go back to uni!

Not going to Brighton afterall... going to go cycling around the new forest instead :) We're hiring bikes and taking a picnic. I'll be earning 3.5 APs an hour (I counted it as active) and will be cycling for a good few hours! So, I don't think I'll be pointing today, but won't go mad and am having a low point dinner. I've bought a ripple to have as some chocolate and I want some cheese and biscuits! Plus sushi and some fruit. Om nom nom. I want to stop for afternoon tea along the way and have a scone :p
 
Scones.... don't u just love them.....hmmmmmmmm drool*
 
My butt huuuuurts. Ow ow ow. Cycled 8.5 miles and it was hard! I'm so unfit and couldn't do the hills :p We weren't hungry at all during or after cycling so didn't have afternoon tea. For lunch I had 3 pieces of sushi, a small bit of cheese, some houmous and breadsticks, a packet of crisps and 4 belgium chocolates. We're getting Indian takeaway tonight though.. so deserve it, I am shattered!

Hmmm, I may join you in not weighing as much - don't think I could do once a month though :eek: I'll try once a week, then maybe every fortnight.

We seem to have done quite similar things. I'm well over the weight I was when I started WW. I actually don't believe I can do WW any more, but I am determined to get into PMcK soon :rolleyes: I'm trying to follow his rules and so far haven't gained any weight, even though I have been on two holidays. :)
