WOOP go you! I love mini victories over yourself like that...you can practically see the angel and the devil sat on each shoulder having a little battle and the angel doing a little victory dance at the end! Haha xx

Haha that is a fab imagine! The angel won and she is tiny compared to the devil ;) hehe but she is growing as I shrink! Lol

Had my exercise today ladies. Forgot to put bin out last night so had a mad rush this morning running up and down drives putting our and neighbours bins out. Can I skip the gym now? ;)

Ladies I need some advice please :)

I used to weigh in on Fridays. But I feel like doing this is setting myself up to fail because I then have the whole weekend where I end up bingeing and then have to have no syns all week to ensure that I even maintain. The issue is further that I don't necessarily manage to have no syns all week and so I have never yet done a week on plan 100%.

So I am thinking of changing my weigh in to a Monday. That way I have to watch my syns at the weekend, as I should, but can still have synful days if I am good in the week. I'm hoping that mentality could help me keep syns low at week so I have enough for weekend but Monday weigh in motivating me not to go over my syns. I'm usually naughty on a Saturday anyway so I will have Sunday to be super good.

Do you think this is a good idea? It will be tough but I want to hit target this year. I'm also thinking of joining this thing at the gym where, a bit like SW, you weigh in on a Monday and then the biggest loser wins a prize and you all get nutrition and exercise advice. It lasts 10 weeks for £30 so I'm very tempted.

I'm a Monday weigher and it definitely works for me by keeping me on track through the weekends :) xx

Thank you for your views ladies. I am going to try weighing in on a Monday then :) I will still weigh myself tomorrow as well from habit but officially weigh in on Monday.
 
Mushroom stroganoff that I cooked at the weekend and froze was scrumptious! Added some bacon too it nom nom
Ended up calculating 6 syns for yesterday despite aim as four, as i had a tiny bit of beef jerky and there was a tiny bit of fat on bacon!

Really enjoyed the gym last night. I did the following Strength exercises: 3 x 10 reps of Bar bell presses with squats; kettlebell swings; kettlebell squats; sit-ups; crunches; dumbell bicep curls; dumbell lateral raise. Then Cardio of 20 minutes interval training on the treadmill witha cooldown of 5 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of cross trainer weight loss programme (resistance intervals) with 3 minutes cooldown.

I am in pain today my poor glutes haha

An extract from my food plan for today!

Thursday 9/1/14
Breakfast: HEB Cereal with some HEA allowance and a banana (SF) white tea
Lunch: Pappardelle All'Amatriciana (from new magazine) 3 syns - oil. HEA coffee.
Dinner: Spag Bol lean mince (3 syns), 1/3 tsp oil (1 syn). Served with a jacket potato (F). And a dollop of fat free fromaige frais (F) Snacks: Mullerlight (F) Grapes (SF) Clementine (SF) I also had a bite of bread (literally) so gonna put 1 syn!

My mum is coming for the weekend so I'm not going to the gym. Cooking my SW bol for my mum. Also going to have some cava with my mum 4.5 syns a flute, thanks Sarah, so rounding up to 5 for a small glass :)
Aim for syns: 13 will limit myself to 1 glass of cava tonight to stay within my syns, it will be a challenge though!

Really going to be faced with temptation tonight with the wine but I am hoping that I can resist and not have more than one small glass :) that way I really can enjoy myself on Saturday with my mum. I assume we will end up going shopping on Sat so if I eat out I will eat a subway salad. M&S have a dine in for £10 so might do that with my mum Sat, i'm pretty sure i'll have enough syns! xxxx

UPDATE: I managed to just have one glass of wine. Then realised I was starving (somehow!) so I had 2 bowls of cereal. Going to syn that as 10 as I don't think it was quite 2 measured bowls. So total syns for yesterday: 23. I'm a bit disappointed but if you have to eat you have to.

I must say your food is sounding delish this week :) Glad your SW bol was such a success. What's the Parpadelle dish? I haven't got the new mag, keep meaning to pick up a copy but never get round to it, ha.

Thanks honey I thought a good way to get back on SW would be through new interesting meals! And I was chuffed my mum liked it, she is fussy about food and she ate a massive bowl full :)

The parpadelle dish for 2 works out as: 1 carrot finely chopped, 1 onion finely chopped, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 celery finely chopped, seasoned with chili and basil. That's the tomato sauce basically, then you cook it with parpadelle pasta (like tagliatelle although I used a different one), bacon, and garnish with Parmesan :) so basically a posh tomato sauce hehe but it tastes beautiful. I think it's 1 syn if you use Parmesan (I didn't need it). Also tastes lush without the bacon. I let the sauce simmer once everything was cooked through for 25 mins before adding the cooked bacon and serving so the sauce was lovely and thick.

I really would get the magazine this month; it is full of lovely recipes especially cos of the free little recipe book with it.

Morning beautiful girls

Woohoo it's Friday! Desperate for it; knackered.

Jumped on the scales this morning with my Friday normal weigh in and lost 1lb since Monday. So still got 3 days until I officially weigh in so hoping for at least another 1lb. Felt a little disappointed, but no real reason to. What was good is that when I weighed on Monday I had 58% body fat :/ this morning that had gone down to 39% :)

Weird going to work when my mum is here, I just want to chill with her!

That's an amazing change in body fat, honey, well done! And 1lb is great too, especially with a few more days til WI.
