JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

Good morning beautiful ladies

I wrote a nice long post this morning but it didn't save grrr. Anyway so I've sneaked on to quickly catch up with you all.

My weekend was naughty! Saturday: We blitzed the house and garden on a healthy SW breakfast and then treated ourselves with Wagamamas, Beer, Sweets, Icecream and Maltesers
Sunday: We were at an outside event with our nephews and James' mum and had a burrito, icecream and an indian takeaway with beer while we watched the match (although I fell asleep after the first half hehe)

Did everyone have a good weekend?

I've got some off plan eats for today: belvita and a pasta salad as we didn't have time for a shop yesterday. Getting back on it tonight though with Bootcamp and a healthy food shop! James is thinking of doing paleo this week so could be interesting .... it is his birthday at the weekend so he is wanting to do some damage control ;)

Happy Monday ;) xxxx

Aww thanks babe! Still got a bit left to do but that's mainly fitness based now! :) How have you been? xxxx

Hey, i've been good thanks. Just had a read of your signature, and girl you have done so well! I'm hoping to stick with it this time.

Love your diary! :)

Glad you had a good weekend.... so proud of how well you have done x

Good :) aw thanks lovely :) I've been doing clean eating more than sw although sw definitely have me the boost to under 11st :D xxxx

I bought batteries for our scales and as we are back on it this week (until the weekend haha) we thought we would weigh in.

I've been off plan for nearly a month now, since Benidorm and I have gained .... 4lbs! Now don't get me wrong, I haven't been eating loads of crap but enough! So I'm very happy with this relatively small gain :) must be the exercise being my saviour ;) I am now 10st 4lbs with a target of 9st 7lbs so that's 11lbs to go! I have a wedding in 6 weeks so that's about 2lbs a week! We are having a naughty weekend for James' birthday but going to be super good in the week to compensate.

Last night's was TOUGH. I felt really sick through the whole thing, but pushed through ;). Then did a very healthy food shop!

Eats for today:
B - 2 boiled eggs, Smoked salmon, Baby spinach - our PT says a good breakfast is key so going to see how this goes. I think breakfast is one of Tasha's secret weapons ;)
L - Steak salad
S - Nuts, Nakd bar, Banana, Strawbs Rasps and Grapes
D - Pork, veg and either sweet potato or brown rice!

Being a nice fiancée tonight and getting the bus to James' work after work so I can drive home so that he can get the bus straight into town. He is going for pie and peas and then an ale tasting night :) then I'm picking him and his friends up from town (first time I've done the trip alone) so I've said 11 at the latest ;). Hopefully going to get some piano practice in tonight as haven't had a lesson in over a month as been a bit skint and completely out of practice ;).

Happy Tuesday lovelies xxxx

And! My darling grandma has joined slimming world! Rang me last night about syns and not wanting them, so I said to save some up for some cheeky gins at the weekend ;) xxxx

And! Haha! time hop has just informed me that it has been a year since I actually started my slimming world journey so just over 2 stone in a year and 3 stone for my boy! :D!

Happy Tuesday gorgeous lady! So many things in your post made me smile!

Firstly...bless your little grandma! What a sweetheart. I remember my Nan did WW...must be 12ish years ago now...she did really well and got her target pin although all that and more has gone back on since she's been on her own and eats too many cream cakes! (If you're not allowed when you're 93, when are you?)

I totally agree with brekkie being one of Tash's secret weapons but apart from at the weekend, I'm really not very good at having a big brekkie. I always eat mine at my desk as I can't eat too soon after getting up (or get up early enough to give myself enough time!!) so I need portable things and yogs/overnight oats are just the easiest. Might have to have a re-think though and come up with some new plans! Like ham and egg cups, maybe?

Also, you are such a cutie picking up James. I do it for Dave a lot (and to be fair, he picks me up too) - I always think it's daft paying for taxis when I'm sitting at home.

Piano lessons? Have I always missed this before? You're a clever little sausage, aren't you, gorgeous girl?! I started learning when I was little and always wanted to go back to it. I don't have the patience really, but it's on my bucket list regardless!

Have a great day honey xxxx

And happy SW anniversary!!! xxx

Hi honey! Well done for making it through last night and for being back on for even during the week! So easy to write off the week when you know the weekend is gonna be a bit bold! And girls, oh my god! You have to have a killer breakfast! I literally swear by it! If I don't have a proper breakfast, my day is off and I am 100% guaranteed to eat more crap later in the day! Get as much goodness as you can in there in the AM! Ham & egg cups are definitely an on the go winner Sarah! With some fruit and yoghurt! And a bowl of cereal if you're me... ;)

So proud of you and James! Superstar couple! What a year you two have had! Here's to another great one! Hope you get some piano practice in tonight! I am tone deaf!! But Simon makes up for my musical inabilities so it's fine! :) xxx

Awwww Jessy - happy SW anniversary!!! And what a WI result after such a naughty month! I am refusing to WI until Friday morning. I'm hoping some cheeky exercise and fast days might reduce my gain before then... if only I'd been good and been healthier over the weekend, oops!

Food sounds fab today.. back with a bang! Have you any nice plans for James' birthday at the weekend? July is such a nice birthday month, hopefully you get amazing weather xxx

Happy SW anniversary and congratulations on just a small gain. It's so difficult getting back in the right frame of mind after a break, but it sounds as though you'll do it.

Oh I wish I'd got a piano still. I might not be able to hear it now, but I could still enjoy the 'physicality' of playing, if you know what I mean.

I know bless her :) she is 80 next month so wants to trim up for that! and yes I so agree - 93?! enjoy the cake!

I loved my boiled eggs and salmon - so easy to transport and super yummy :) Ham and egg cups are great too!

Yeah definitely and James has had years of picking me up before I bought Bluebell!

Hehe yes you'll have missed it. I have been having them a fair while now but i'm not very good haha ;) more focussed on the theory as i'm good at it but actually prefer playing - finding it hard as an adult learner though. I definitely don't have the patience but James won't let me quit as I said I wanted to teach our children how to play and i've been hankering on for years about how I wanted to learn ;)

Thank you :D xxxx

I felt so much better for my nice breakfast! It really has set me up for the day!

I know - it feels a lot longer than a year though!

Haha I need to ;) Lol bless you, and a musical boyfriend is a very nice thing! James can sing really well but is a shy bairn xxxx

Thanks babe :) yeah very lucky I don't pile on the lbs quick anymore. I can tell in my tummy i've put a few lbs on though! Fingers crossed that you will reduce it, but you know how to ;)

Yeah really looking forwrad to the weekend. Sat day we plan on being good and hitting the gym, but then going out for a meal and drinks with friends Sat night. Then spending Sunday with his family and going for probably a sunday lunch. Then we've got Monday booked off so I'm taking him for a breakfast at our fave place and then he wants to go shopping to spend his birthday monies :)

xxxx

Thank you - It was lovely to just gain 4lbs! It really is and I have been trying for weeks but NEED to do it now.

Yes I completely understand. I'm not very good at it yet but I love playing it xxxx

I'm sure you will soon shift the added 4 lbs and be on your way to target :D

Don't doubt it for a moment xx

Morning lovelies :) loving this sunny weather!

I'm knackered today but was worth it to make sure James got home as he was rather tiddly! I swung by KFC on the way home too as he needed to eat and resisted buying myself anything. I will admit to a bite of chicken and a handful of chips though.

Hopefully my scrummy breakfast and a coffee will perk me up for work!

B: 2 boiled eggs, baby spinach, smoked salmon
S: Banana
L: Tuna salad with about 50kcal of brown rice to pad it out
S: Nuts, Peach, Banana
D: Not 100% sure but got 2 pork steaks that need using!

Someone at work has made some delicious brownies so definitely a piece of that!

Think we are going to the gym tonight although right now I'm not feeling it.

Have a lovely hump day ladies xxxx
