Karenlou's diary - Hello, I'm home!

Wedding is 6 March so 18 weeks and 6 days away :)

Yes, I will post pics although not till the dress is a bit looser - it looks dreadful at the moment and my bosoms are all squished in it and pushed up into my face :D

i would like a bra that does that. I have very little, and what i do have is heading south faster than a speeding bullet LOL :D

Well my scales, which I only bought a few months ago, have given up the ghost again! They were only cheapos so I suppose I can't complain but Grrh!!

So, I have been to Argos and bought a slightly more expensive set this time and have weighed in this morning. Counting this week at STS as I have no way of knowing how these scales compare to my old ones and will hope for a good loss next week.

Will also hope these scales work for me!!!

how annoying is that with the scales!!!!!!!!!!! i chucked mine out wen i started WW.... not gonna get new ones till i'm at goal x

Very sensible thing to do - certainly stops you hopping on and off them mid-week. I don't go to classes anymore so needed to get some. Was going to WI at my future in-laws but there's no guarantee we would go there on a set day and some weeks we don't go at all so decided I'd best get some new ones.

Need to make sure I stay off them though...

yeah if your not goign to meetings you do need soem at home!!!!! lol can't wait to get my new ones!!! LOL i always look for them in the morning x

hope these scales last you a bit longer! I have some IKEA ones, and they are the biggest pile of cr*p ever - i can stand on 3 times (always checking its at 0 before i step on) and i'll get 3 different weights so I use my Wii Fit to weigh myself instead (kinda a double edged knife that, as i should exercise on it more than i do, but if i do, i HAVE to body test and weigh myself before I start because I like to look back over my graph.. :p and i dont want to weigh myself all the time because I do get addicted and it is really disheartening that I'm not losing 1lb each day or something..)

I know what you mean - it can be very counter productive hopping on and off the scales all the time and I have a very bad habit of doing just that! Will need to exercise willpower and stay off mine till next Saturday now.

I didn't know you could weigh yourself on a wii fit - mind you I don't really know much about them at all.

Lets hope these scales last a little longer, mum bought me some of the WW body fat monitor ones as one of my xmas pressies (I hate surprises!!) but that was before our anti WW campaign!! LOL!!

LOL. I know what you mean about Christmas surprises - I'm too much of a control freak for that. I'd like to give a list of three or four items for my mum to choose from so it was a controlled surprise but she will have none of it so I have a collection of awful pressies from her!

Haha I am a complete control freak so much so my family feel it easier just to give in to me, I have done a list and whenever anyone rings up mum to ask whats on it, mum is told exactly what to tell each person!!! I blame it on being a virgo!!

Hey Karen,
How are you doing hun with the diet,i see you have new scales,i so hate scales! They all are so so different why cant they all be the same..
I am like you on and off the scales a few times a day!! Naughty i no but i cant help it thats just me! :)

Hi Gemma

I've got my head into it really well this week after a few weeks of farting about and losing a pound here and there. I think getting my wedding dress has spurred me on to sticking with it.

I was only getting weighed at classes and then I decided I didn't want to go to classes anymore so needed a decent set of scales. Was going to WI at my future m-i-l's but no guarantee of being there on a particular day of the week so decided to bite the bullet and get some new ones.

Hey Karen :) .... popping in to say ello and to say thanks for leaving me messages in my diary :) ..My scales are rubbish but darnt buy new ones cos id be hopping on and off all the time lol ...

Hows the diet going this week?

Hi Kirsty. I'm having a really good week thanks; probably the best I've had in a long time. My head is really in the right place so I'm hoping it'll show on the scales!

Had a bit of a lucky escape today though; I had a sod it moment and leapt in the car and drove to McDonalds with every intention of spending 16 points I couldn't afford! Luckily, it's half term and the place was heaving so I came to my senses and went to Waitrose for vegetarian sushi and a skinny cow smoothie lolly (6 points) instead. Phew.

Home made irish stew for tea.

Well done! :) Half term really is hell at McDs :( It's worse than summer because it's compressed so everyone goes in the one week.

What you got from Waitrose sounds yummy!

haha thats brilliant! good for you! have you had the skinny cow mint choc chip lollies? theyre bloody gorgeous and only 1.5pts each :) also i was going to say you should try those new innocent veg pots - i tried one today, it was the thai coconut curry one (6pts i think Jen said) and although it didnt bowl me over it was really really filling! ..but i found out it has thai fish sauce in it.. so its not veggy - sorry! :(

Pity about it not being veggie - bit daft putting fish sauce into something that would have been veggie otherwise!

I love vegetable sushi though and it's much better for me than fries and milkshakes!

Haven't tried the mint choc chip skinny cows but I've had the triple choc ones and they are lush.

Elegantriposte, I'm liking your new avatar.
