Hey guys and happy new year to you all. I've been lurking about a bit and not really posting but I'm feeling a bit better now and ready for a MAMMOTH diary entry.

Toilet is still not fixed but the guy has semi-fixed it so we can fill it with water from a bucket or bowl and manually flush it. Less than ideal but better than trekking to the loos at the top. Have now got the part we needed and he's coming back to fix it on Thursday. Cost £140 for the part and two days of this guy's time so don't even want to think about how much it will be in total!

Had a lovely new year - went to stay with friends of Keith in Oxfordshire. Was quiet but nice and they cooked a lovely meal. Keith had a relapse on New Year's Day and is going to have to go back into hospital but we are all confident he will be well in time for the wedding.

Which means I had better get my backside into gear as I have been comfort eating (and comfort shopping but more of that later). New WI day I have decided will be Thursday as that will be the last day I can weigh in before the wedding as we'll be going to the hotel on the Thursday before the wedding on the Friday. So, WI on Thursday will leave me with 8 weeks to go!

So... shopping. Well, the good news is that I have won £250 in shopping vouchers, which is a good thing as I am spending money like there is no tomorrow. I have £100 to spend in New Look, £75 in Primark, £25 in The Fragrance Store and £50 in Barratts. I'm just waiting for them to arrive and then my son and I are going to shop till we drop!

In the meantime, I have been playing on ebay and have bought this for the wedding:

i like leopard print too - theres some lovely stuff about - theres a nice bag in Dorothy perkins that would go with your hat
