Karenlou's diary - Hello, I'm home!

Well done on the STS hun, that's great at this time of year! xxx

Thanks all. Had an incident with some mince pies this morning ha ha but Keith has saved me by eating the rest of them :( Making a lovely carrot and coriander soup for tea to make up for the naughtiness.

Had a lovely day today, just walking with the dog and doing a bit of last-minute shopping. Putting my problems with ma onto the back burner and will get it all sorted out in the new year.

Really looking forward to Christmas now. I got a copy of A Christmas Carol and started reading it aloud (to Keith and the dog) this morning. Will finish it tomorrow. We're on the ghost of Christmas Present at the moment. The boat is lovely and warm and the dog is asleep next to me; the Christmas decorations are glinting and we have the Muppet Christmas Carol on DVD to watch later.

All's well with the world :)

Glad to hear you had a good day, well deserved after the past few weeks! :)

Hope you enjoyed those mince pies ;)

Hi all.

We had a lovely Christmas thanks. Collected Josh from work at 3am and drove him to ours; got here about 4 so decided we might as well open presents so woke Keith up and made him a cup of tea and had a lovely time chucking paper about and totally confusing the dog! Got loads of books and a beautiful pair of amber earrings from Keith and Josh got me an i-pod shuffle :D

Got up at half twelve and started dinner, which we ate at 4 - it was a bit of a challenge cooking it on the boat as we only have a tiny galley and not a full size cooker but it was lovely and didn't go too badly wrong.

Boxing Day we went to the football which was cold but enjoyable and had buffet tea at Keith's mum and dads. Lazy day today but bit of a problem as the toilet is blocked and we can't get anyone who can help us sort it out before Monday! Luckily there are public toilets in the marina here but it's a bit of a pain to trog up there all the time.

We won't discuss how many points I've had over the last few days except to say I haven't counted them!!! Back on the diet tomorrow apart from New Year's Eve.
