Kat1e's Diary - 7 years low carb - still learning!

Welcome to the marmite appreciation society (sorry Bren :) )

Almost at the weekend and survived my double dance class - i have to admit i could barely make it and shows how 3 weeks off just wrecks your fitness (what little i had lol)

Food today
B bacon and eggs
L remains pie plus sausages, salad and a tbs of the 1 carb heinz ketchup that just arrived (woohoo!)
D prawn boursin and avocado sauce with shitaki noodles (not bad really)
S pepperami, mim toast and marmite :) , jelly mousse

W plenty
E 2 hours dancing (mistake to sit on sofa - not sure i can get upstairs now!)
A no but .....

Tomorrow is friday, and if i ignore the day of work in between, i am already dreaming of dinner out at gaucho richmond. We havent gone for ages because a bit pricy and they specialise in large pieces of fantastic meat - what a superb excuse atkins is!

Night night x

Yep - delivery from LCM yesterday with ketchup, xanthan gum, shitaki noodles and some salad dressing satchets (to take to work).

The 1 carb is per serving ie 16g. So probably more like 6ish per 100 (too late for maths). Tasted fine but then i was desperate!

OMG am I alone in here??????????????? I hate hate hate the blinking stuff bleurggggggggggggggg :sign0137: :yuk:

We're obviously the only two sane people in here. Vile. *shudder* :spit:

Howdy all :)

Thought I'd better update in the hopes that I will be out far too late to do later!

Struggled out to the office today - think I may have done too much exercise yesterday but still in one piece so will keep going.

Nice surprise when I got home - DH has been baking. We've got some flaxseed bread - DH decided to do it properly with yeast and it certainly looks good. Not sure how it tastes yet :p Also we have guests coming to stay for the weekend so he has made a new york style cheesecake - ground almond/coconut for base and unsweetened top (because we both hate splenda). Now we just need to come up with suitable topping to give some sweetness - I wonder if we can turn the no carb apricot jam into a type of sauce? Any other ideas?

While I remember (before wine - woohoo it's friday:D:D:D:D)
B pepperami, bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms (I know - it was late & I was starving )
L smoked mackerel and salad
D will be some serious meat - yum yum
S planning to try some of the new bread before heading out

W some - must do more
E dance class with DH
A you bet - wild horses etc

Love the avatar tooooooooooo

:jelous:

ooh, the flaxbread sounds interesting, let us know how it turned out! i am imagining a warm slice smothered in butter and MARMITE!

Morning all, in a pretty mad rush to get the house ready for guests - will try get back on later this morning

in triplicate!
For Bren & Water - here's a link you might enjoy :D

Marmite - Hate it

Dinner out last night was superb and tested DH cheesecake when we got home - will sort & post all later

Bye for now

Sunday morning & the 4 kids (only one mine!) have been whisked out to the park & I am "clearing up" (do you think minimins counts? :D ) before we all go round to my mums for lunch. Spoke to mum yesterday and although she is horrified that we aren't eating fruit (at the moment) she is obviously trying hard to make sure there is something legal for lunch - we will see how it goes.

It's my cousin staying and she was really interested in all the low carb alternatives as she has mostly given up bread & things anyway so that has made it all easier. Did a quick tot up of carbs - probably over the 20 but mostly celery (to stop me eating the breadsticks lol) and wine :D:D:D

So to catch up

Friday dinner out: grilled squid starter, large amazing argentinian steak, teeny outrageously priced bowls of spinach & mushrooms. Dessert at home - DH special cheesecake

Sat
B bacon & eggs & 1/2 slice cheesecake (testing toppings!)
L Ham, salami, cheese, salad
S celery and artichoke/parmesan dip, smoked salmon on cucumber slices, chicken
D Chicken with fennel, ginger & garlic, New york cheesecake with (sf) strawberry topping

W not as much as usual
E absolutely none

A far too much :D 1 glass champagne (brut zero so extremely low sugar - most champagne has sugar added). Probably about 2/3rds bottle of wine over the evening. We had bought lots of different little half bottles of dry white & red to test out.....so we did :party0036:

Hope that's not a complete disaster at monday's WI

Now if I can just keep lunch at mum's under control......

morning honey :) steak sounds good and as does cheesecake. enjoy your lunch!
