Hope the weather's getting better, it's a bit mis on your hols when it's raining
Never mind, us Brits are pretty good at making the best of things aren't we?
Morning all. Lying in bed with a cup of tea, walls and roof and wifi - blissful
DH has gone out to find the boulangerie and had taken orders for baguettes, croissants and pain chocolat - i am desperately trying to persuade myself that a cheese and ham omlette is BETTER
Will see how i do on catching up - wow you've all been busy
LOL! This resonates with me as I had a particularly miserable wet camping trip with the bear in early June... my thoughts? NEVER AGAIN!! Hotels all the way, hee hee
DH has gone on his bakers run again but left me a nice cup of tea to have while surfing in bed. Also made me a lovely omlette yesterday for breakfast and promised to do a repeat today. Foodwise I haven't succumbed to the bread and desserts yet but very tempting. I am enjoying the fabulous food in "normand" sauces which are probably a bit carby, but i am assuming better for me than creme brulee There also seems to be plenty of wine including rose for lunch and calvados to finish the evening,,,,,,
Yesterday we went to a maize maze - it was amazing (lol) Luckily maps available or could have taken even longer!
We were hoping for better weather today but doesn't look good on the rain radar. We really need to get the tent out to dry it as soon as poss and next week supposed to be sailing so limited time to do! Of course if it stays wet then i refuse to go sailing anyway - definfitely a fair weather girl here
Off to the saturday market today with our friends, then lunch out and then BBQ this evening. Hmm - life seems to revolve around food
See you later
Xxx
I used to think that Susie, but this afternoon proved to me how little bread means to me any more, got a cheeseburger from the stall in town (their burgers are really fab) and ate it from between the bun and then threw the bun away - no compulsion to even take a small bite of it at all - love that feeling
That's great on the bread Bren! I've had a similar experience this week with a swiss roll. It used to be a binge food, but now I've had one sat in the cupboard for a few days (my son loves them and is gradually getting through it - as you should!), and I haven't even thought about having any. It would have been sending out sonar/radar/telepathic messages to me before Atkins! Breakthrough!
It has taken me over 2 years to get to this stage Susie, and every step has been hard won, bread used to be my main trigger food, I would eat absolutely anything between 2 slices!!! or more usually 4 or 6 slices.........................but I really do think I have a handle on my cravings now, I would love to be able to give you this gift, truly I would xxxxxxxxx
