Keep drinking the water and carry on just as you have, hopefully it was just a bizarre increase today, I'm sure it will come off! I'm having a good day (especially because I can sit down in my jeans ;) lol) xxx

Don't be so hard on yourself. Every set of scales are different and also the time you weigh will affect you as well.
You are doing great and I'm sure come Tuesday the scales will be nice to you.
I just saw your salad challenge, wow some of the results are amazing. I will definitely be giving it a go when I get back from holiday.xx

Aww thanks Lmn, was having a bit of a down day, but when I come on here my mins friends cheer me up :D. Your right the scales are different, worrying will not help me. How are you doing hun ? Bet you must be excited about going on hols :). The salad challenge has been very positive for everyone envolved, would be great to have you on board when your back, its a good way to kick start those losses :p.

I promise I will be there, I will try and make it so I do the same week as you're doing on the salad challenge so that you can help spur me along a bit :) xx

It's not just me, there will be some pro's on there now that have done it before :D, they will all be there to encourage and support you and share ideas :). Eat to your hearts content on your hols, knowing you'll be able to lose it when you get back :p !

Hi Kay , try not to be too hard on yourself over the scales, you body was In a different mode from usual wi , different clothes , time of day , fluid intake etc,
I know it's easy for me to say , and tbh I'd feel the same way as you are , but you know it's not food related ,
So yea keep your chin up ( or the 3 your trying to convince us you have , I don't think so mrs)

But even so I do feel bigger I just know its a gain this week :rolleyes: but will stop going on about it or I will bore you lot to death being miss stressyhead again . Afternoon everyone, my day has gone from ok to bad :(. I had my doctors appointment this morning, I need to go for my hospital appointment on Tuesday afternoon after group and then to my aunts and staying over, so won't be able to post my weigh in result till Wednesday morning. Anyway that was the ok part of the day ...

after my doc's appointment I went to the gym and did my workout, silly me as I was walking out I went past their scales and weighed myself, I've gained :cry:. I don't think it's my food because I have been having very low syns this week and eating lots of fruit and veg. I think this all has to do with me exercising again or the only other thing I can think of is SALT. When I was doing the challenges, I was on zero salt and it really gave me fab losses. I have heard a lot about salt retaining water in our bodies. This week when I resumed normal eating, I have started using soy sauce in my cooking. I love soy sauce but its very high in sodium. Ontop of that I normally buy that brand called `LO SALT ' which simply is reduced sodium salt, but since I've run out I've been using normal table salt in my cooking which is higher in sodium :mad:.

I'm so fed up, I felt like I was doing something good for my body, but going back to the gym is making me gain again. I was planning on having 2 rest days anyway on Sunday and Monday, so I will still go gym tomorrow, might as well complete my 5 days. Then I will see what the result is on Tuesday, if its a gain then I will stop gym until I lose another 2 stone, then when I'm 1 stone away from target I will resume gym again, because its affecting my losses :(.

Sorry everyone for my rant, I'm just not a very happy bunny today :cry:.

As others have said - pls don't stress - if one of us had done that what wd u be saying to them - something supportive I know - and also that all scales are different - SW ones are regularly calibrated and are v accurate so pls focus (but not stress) on those!!

1. You weighed in AFTER a workout, I mean how much water were you drinking while working out? If you're anything like me you'd have drunk LOADS and that's all extra weight you won't carry at your usual WI!

2. Different scales to group, could easily be a pound or two out!

3. Different day/time to usual - we all fluctuate naturally and you know the day before your group WI you always have a super low day and tonnes of water, and i'm pretty sure you'd avoid the salt too!

So yeah, I'm still positive you'll lose next week. I mean how much was the gain? I can imagine how frustrating it'd be though, adding exercise is bound to make it a risky week for weight loss, but you'll be burning body fat and getting leaner, regardless of what number awaits you. It's easy for me to say I guess, I've got another week before I have to face the scales. In the past it's put me off from exercising, so can understand why you feel like that too, its just so annoying isn't it!? :/*big hugs*

p.s ALso I'm gutted I have to wait till Wed for your WI result! xxx

Thanks Cookie, oh no I do :D, I polished off most of that pan of stroganoff by myself hehe ! I've only got a little leftovers for tomorrow. I hope you all have smashing time tomorrow in Sheffield. Take lots and lots of piccies :p.

I can't afford for my losses to slow down, I really want to be at target this year. You'll never guess what happened today :eek: I nearly caved in and ordered a takeaway, I was craving kfc . I've not had such a strong craving in ages. I even got the takeaway menus out and was about to dial, but then I put them back in the draw, and got off my bum, went into the kitchen and cooked my sw mushroom stroganoff. I think the bad result on the scales put me in such a bad mood I was ready to have a major blow out ! I don't know what stopped me, but I'm worried that the old me still comes out from time to time :(.

I completely see your point with stopping the gym, tbh if my losses slow right down then I'll be tempted to too, but I'm going to give it a month and see how it goes before I decide. I think target for you is definitely achievable this year, you've had lots of fantastic losses and hopefully another one is in store for you on Tue. You've still got another 3 full days yet so I'm sure you can lose even more weight in that time. xxx

I hope so Bev, I just feel like my mojo has gone, the last time I was like this was when I took a week off for blow out week, but I can't be off again for a week eating what I want, I've only just been back a few weeks :rolleyes:. I think I'm worried because there's still 3 days left and I might end up going off plan :sigh: .

Okay, well I think its great you've realised that's a danger, it means you can put things in place to stop that happening. Do you think you're feeling a little deprived? Maybe have a few more syns or treat yourself to the one thing that you really fancy, but get straight back on plan after?

Having said that if you just feel like this because of the stupid scales today then maybe that's not the best idea, it'd only make you feel worse and could cause you to binge.

Only you know what's right, but I know you want to see a fab result on the scales and the only way you'll get that is by sticking to plan xxx

Aww thanks hun, so are you. You have to be one of the most dedicated and motivated people on the whole of mini's, after reading your diary I always feel like trying harder, not many people make me feel like that!

Hopefully after your sleep you'll feel loads better xx
