Thanks I am very happy indeed.
Sleep deprived yep but couldn't be happier at the minute :)
Yeh he's pulls the same grumpy face as his daddy too!
He farts a lot and gets cranky when it's almost mealtimes- just like his daddy lol!! X

Hope your first day on your own has gone ok xxx
It has actually gone very well thanks.
Flown by, and I haven't stopped all day, but I've felt confident looking after him alone :)
And we've been out in the buggy, just me and him and that was fine.
Next step is taking him out in the car on my own, which I'm dreading as I won't be able to see him when I drive :(
Think we are going to go into town tomorrow, on the bus for the first time.
Thursday we are going to pop to Waitrose to do the food shop, so that'll be the first time in the car.
Great thing is, hubby was very eager to get home tonight and is more than happy looking after him all evening so I can have a break :)
My husband is the best, I feel very lucky :) xx

Ha ha!! Bless him!!

It's the best job isn't it??!! xxx

Rather tired today- Oliver didn't get to sleep until 1:30, was awake at 4 and again at 7, yawn!
He's very hungry soon after his food so I'm going to start trying him with 5oz bottles now, hoping that he'll longer between feeds!
Don't think we'll be going into town today- got a docs appt at 11 and think I'll prob just try and get a nap in this afternoon whilst his lordship is asleep.
Need to hoover the lounge before Saturday as got my best friend and hubby coming for the day (very excited!) so that's a job for today or Friday...
I just need to chill out with my feet up and a magazine today, and it's a nice day again so maybe we'll sit in the garden for that :)

I know how you feel re tiredness. We are still having to get up every 2-3 hours.
Remember that friends are coming to see you and Oliver, not the state of your house so if you need to rest, then do.
Xx

It's a killer!
He gets so cranky if he's tired so he winds himself up and takes even longer to get to sleep!
Yeh I know, it's just that with 2 dogs and a cat, the floor gets covered in hair very quickly!!
Besides it bothers me if the floor isn't clean!!
Young man is asleep in my arms and I'm finding it hard to keep awake!
Need lunch then I'll nap. Hoping he'll sleep for long enough that I can do that.
Fingers crossed! X

So we went to docs and Tesco- Oliver was well behaved and got loads of attention in both! Saw my friend in Tesco with her little girl, who's 6 days younger and the size difference is huge!
But then her girl was 7lbs 13oz at birth and my boy was 9lbs 11oz!!!
Had to wait for a prescription so we sat in the cafe- I needed the caffeine and Oliver needed milk lol!
He guzzled down the 5oz then promptly threw an oz back up- all over the chair but thankfully not me or him as I had a muslin cloth wrapped round my neck (learnt my lesson on day one!)!!
Once home he took a while to settle but he did nod off at 3 and not wake up until almost 7! Plus he'd had his feed at 2 (a full 5oz) so almost 5 hours between feeds!
Another full 5oz and he was back down by 8 after an explosive nappy!
He's sound asleep still so hoping he'll last until 10/11.
It seems the 5oz is working, fingers crossed it makes him sleep longer tonight!
I'm now about to have a shower then an early night- hubby is doing the last feed so I can catch up on my sleep. X

A pretty decent night from Oliver- 5oz at 10, asleep by 11, 5oz at 3:30, asleep by 5 and just finished 4oz.
It meant I slept from 10-3:30 uninterrupted :)
And he seemed more settled yesterday, prob a combination of the Infacol, extra food and it was cooler :)

First trip in the car, just me and Oliver, went well :)
We went to Waitrose, did the food shop and he slept all the way round!
I managed to get all my shopping put away once home too before he stirred and is now having a bottle, good boy :)
Think we'll try the bus tomorrow :)

Snug as a bug.... Trying out the sling:

Glad it all went well. I have a mirror in front of Oliver that I can then see through my wind mirror so can keep an eye on him. Got it from boots x

Which sling do you have?
The Chicco go carrier, it's pretty good although u felt like I was pregnant again with all Oliver's weight on my front! X

Great idea, I shall get one.
I've never driven so carefully in my life! X

We have that one!! Ha ha.
Lol!
As I wrote it, I thought 'I wonder if Penny has the same one?'!!!
We've got the same bouncy chair as well and my Oliver is a massive fan of it!
What changing bag have you got?
I've got a Pink Lining blooming gorgeous one in green bows.
Both of my friends who've recently had babies have got the same one!!!
