Lil miss chatterbox's food diary

Yes, very busy with kids being off, but not doing too badly. less than 2 weeks til they're back now, so trying to get everything ready for their return! hubby's much recovered from op at last, and now we've commited to going on a family walk every weekend together with the kids to keep us all active.

WI today, and 4lbs off! i have to say i was a bit suprised it was such a big loss, having gone out for dinner last night, and had dessert, and wine etc. as a birthday treat :)

so a new week, so time to get planning, cos i've got 2 bbq's this week. one for a friend on saturday, who's going back to america after over 20 years :(, and one as a get together of friends
 
Friday again. Unsuprisingly with my BBQ's out, and my falling into a giant pile of doughnuts i gained 2lbs. am grateful it wasn't more, but new week, new line drawn. kids back to school this wednesday coming, so from then i will be out for a walk every day for about an hour - no more excuses! i bought myself a raincoat last week, and with my walking boots, and a new water bottle i really have no reason to not go out!

so today's food will be:
breakfast: 2 shredded wheat (4), milk (2), peach (0), orange (0)
Lunch: 2 thick toast: (6), 1/2 tin spaghetti (3), small slither rhubarb pie (8)
Dinner: 2 pieces chicken (9), mashed potatoes (5), 1/2 tin mushy peas (3), carrots (0)
Supper: blueberries (0), 1 scoop ice cream (3)

PP used: 43/46
Weeklies used: 0/49
 
i know! have been labelling up everything for back to school. Found my son has finally outgrown his school trousers! he'd still been wearing the age 4-5 ones i got him 2 years ago for starting school until summer hols. now they won't go past his thighs (and he's skinny!), so have dragged the next size up down from the top of the wardrobe. (people keep giving me hand-me-downs, and they're mainly in good condition too). so think we're nearly organised. haircuts needed, nails need trimming and photo's for bus passes to be done tonight, then tomorrow we can relax ready for Wednesday.

Have had yet another weekend mainly away from home, but did 2 walks on Saturday. One 40 min walk with both kids and hubby, and one 50 min walk with hubby and our daughter. left our son with nannie.
 
Wi today - STS. i didn't really have a great week, and didn't keep track of what i was eating (and drinking! -maybe 2 litres of cider in a week was a bit excessive :ashamed0005: ) on the up side i did go out for an hours walk on wednesday, and another hour on thursday. Today it's rather heavily raining, so not sure if i'll go out, but if i decide not to, then i will do some fitness stepping instead. Cheviot attempt 2 tomorrow - still not sure if I'll make it all the way, but i WILL get further than last time! So a new week, and i'm going to try really hard to stick 100% to my food points, and exercise every day for at least 30 mins, but preferably an hour, and next week i want into the 20's. Been stuck in 21's far too long now. In fact 8th January i got to 21st 13lb, and i've been stuck being 21 something pretty much ever since. So it's about time I said goodbye to the 21's forever! So off now to plan my food for the week!

Well done on the walking. It's a pity cider is so calorie packed though. 2 litres isn't all that much but could make a diff all the same.

Love the enthusiasm for the 20 something goal. You can do it. :D
 
Got further on the Cheviot walk than last time. Got to top of scald hill, and that was pretty steep! For once felt i could have kept going, but between running out of fluids, and hubby twisting his ankle we thought it best to turn back. Spent 3 hours walking - just over an hour was downhill, but the rest uphill. was very boggy though, and feet soaked through.
 
I've been a bit busy - got swamped in piles of paperwork that needed sorted, cos I've been putting off filing stuff for more than a year :ashamed0005: and just generally had lots of odd jobs round house to do that i could finally start now kids are away during daytime. probs have been hiding a bit to, but also been feeling under the weather since Thursday with a rotten cold and no energy. Bit brighter today tho, but still going through a lot of hanky's!

Sorry to hear you've been poorly, but glad you're on the mend. OMG the dreaded paperwork my house is buried in it. I sort of think I work in an office all day so don't want to look at perperwork when I get home. I don't half mount up though. I should take a leaf from your book and just do it. Mind you the same could be said of any of the bits of housework I neglect. :D Good to have you back though. :D

Feeling much better and brighter. i haven't updated stats for a while, but finally got under 21 stone, just 2lbs til my lightest weight this year, and i want to get back there for this Friday's weight-in! have been trying not to spend too much time on computer, and get up and more active instead. soon will be back to studying, so need to be super organised this year. one lot of books is despatched, so am stuck in waiting for it to arrive!

hope you're both doing well? will have to check up on diaries in a mo. :)
 
well yesterday afternoon received a package - 21 OU textbooks for 1 module this year. Another boxload of similar amount due to arrive next week for 2nd module this year. Looks like i've got my work cut out, so now all i have to do is get on with it, and not snack whilst working, and take breaks to exercise, and drink enough. Guess i'd best get started lol! Am away for the weekend, so want to get as much done before then as possible. :)
 
Morning lovely, well done on the lowest weight, feels good doesn't it...I am with you with the not being on the puter so much and being more active....
oh my all them books ....I do love studying and my sister keeps trying to persuade me to go back to college and maybe even Uni as she reckons that I should aim for the degree I never got as a kid due to circumstances beyond my control, but to be honest I really can't be asked at my time of life ....I know I could have got the degree I wanted and that's good enough for me lol ...so well done you hun :fingerscrossed: it isn't too stressful what with the kids and everything else to contend with, but I have complete faith in you, I know you'll do just fine .

Thanks Lily! Kids seem to be much more well behaved as of late?! nothing here has changed, but hey ho, if they want to be good and help me with the chores, I'm not arguing! Got a good chunk of studying in already, and chores nearly done too. Now for some exercise...
