So, before this thread turns into the Carol Versus AllanG Thread I thought I'd remind everyone that it's 24 days until we all meet up. Don't know where I got 3 weeks from in my earlier post Duh!

Just wanted to ask if everyone who's staying overnight has booked their hotel yet? I'm debating whether to myself (even though I only live about 15 miles from Liverpool) or whether it'd make more sense for me to just taxi it home Saturday night and back in on Sunday morning.

I've been onto the Hol Inn Express hotel website and there are still rooms available - as well as a few other hotels in the surrounding area, so let me know when you've all decided.

Sooooo gutted but am going to have to pull out of this As you know my husband isn't well and what with that, the fact we suddenly have had our moving date bought forward to 22nd October and that its a bit difficult with the kids that weekend have all made it too hard to get up to the pool for the meet up.

I was really really looking forward to coming and meeting everyone

Hi Carol

Hate to have to bow out , but I could only make the afternoon for a couple of hours as I am going to a black tie do that evening , and now my hairdresser has rung to say she has to change my 9 am head taming session to 2pm, so that leaves me with no time at all to spend in Liverpool with you lovely ladies before you head off to the Cavern for 5pm.
The do starts at 7pm so 5pm is the latest I could stay in Liverpool and I wont leave the hairdressers untill gone three so its not going to work out time wise. I am so gutted, never get the chance of a minins meet right on my doorstep again , and I love Liverpool, was so looking forward to seeing the surprise on 1st timers to Liverpools faces when they see what a beautiful, historic city it is, most people expect something completely different.
Anyway Carol I'm sure you will do a good job of showing off the old pool, so I hope you have a fab time.
