Hello diary,

I'm back in my own house again and starting to get my independance back again, although when I got home last night I ended up in tears as I couldn't tie my hair up to go to bed. I think it's the drugs that are making me emotional!!

Anyway, am going to walk into town today to get some dry shampoo (called hairdressers down road to see how much a wash and blow dry would be - £12, I'm not paying that every other day so will have to make do).

I'm being strict with myself in regards to food, but it's hard as i've not got much fruit in, can't really carry much etc, plus I can't chop anything so can't really cook either (perhaps i left parents too soon...).

I get my dressings changed a week tomorrow, I can't wait as my dressing at moment is from armpit to wrist and really restrictive, hot and itchy.

Anyway, you can tell i've spent day on my own as rambling away, todays food...

Oh Lou, that sounds horrible, I guess it's one of those things where you don't realise how much you'll struggle one-armed until you have to do it!
Think of all the yummy things that don't need chopping: cherry tomatoes, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, cereal bars... although it must be a pain trying to get to the shops...
Well done in not drifting off plan though when you would have the perfect excuse to cheat :)
 
Thanks prawn, I'm not following slimming world very well at the moment, don't seem to be having my b's etc. Will try harder today. Plus - I'm going back to my parents this afternoon. Yippee.

Is that M&S chilli bake wedge thing very big? 7 syns sounds good if you get a fair amount.

If you are struggling to follow why not do a refresher week where you start from scratch and plan your meals out?

Hi Kiki, yeah, it was pretty big to be honest, more than enough for lunch, may chuck in some extra veg for an evening meal though. Plus they are 2 for £4 at the moment.

Still struggling with cooking food and shopping for it, so only half on plan...

L: Corn on the cob and supernoodles
S: Sinlge milkyway (6 syns?)
D: SW Chips (if I can cut the potatoes up) and beans
 
Wooooow, Monday again, only 4 more days until I get my dressing / bandages off, omg, they make me sooooo hot and itchy.

I've been into work today to take sick note in, I didn't want to go home, I miss it loads.... I've told them I'd like to be back next Monday, but will have to see how physio goes (my sick note says 4 weeks)..

Hello diary - well, I gave in this morning, called the doctors and begged for an appointment to get bandages off...... they managed to fit me in, OMG it's such a gorgeous feeling feeling fresh air on my skin again. I've still got dressings on my actual elbow, but have got rid of the wrist to armpit one.

Awwr glad that you got them off, can't imagine having them on in some of the heat we've had recently. Am sure you'll be back in work fit as a fiddle soon but don't push yourself cause it can have lasting damage. x
 
Hi Kiki, thanks for dropping by. How are you?

Well - after having bandages off yesterday..... I managed to drive again, it's still a bit strange as don't have much strength in my right arm, but I could drive safely, so woooop.

Anyway, that now gives me no excuse to go back to slimming world TONIGHT, eek, I've lost 26.5lbs I think (goes to check)... yep, so I hope I can get a couple of pounds off tonight to get my 2 stone award, as long as i've not put loads on I'll be happy.

Today food diary...
B: Pear, banana and yogurt
L: 1/2 bread roll and clover (B and 2 syns)
D: Chickpea dahl, 200g rustic chips (2 syns) and a corn on the cob

Keep forgetting about the blooming B's!!

I'm waiting for boyfriend to get out of bed, then we're off to view houses, elbow is hurting today though. :-(

Not sure what we're doing for dinner tonight, so I'm going to have a neutral day until I decide.

Hi Kiki, yeah, I'm getting there, but still a very long way to go and I've been really really naughty ALL weekend, it's back to plan tomorrow with no syns!!

Todays rubbish food...

D: Chips (10 syns)

Arrgh, my sunday lunch was lovely, however - I then met girls in pub for a few drinks and a girly gossip, this was about 5 / 6ish, they decided they wanted to eat, so I stupidly ordered a bowl of stupid stupid chips.... and ate the lot WITH mayonnaise!!

Need to sort myself out, will gain this week I think, just can't wait to get back to work so I can have some sort of routine again.

Right... back on plan today thankfully, my scales show I've put on a lb, but will wait and see what WI day says (Wednesday this week).
