Lynne: Low Carb Fan

I am good Susie thanks. I wasn't good diet wise over the weekend. But been pretty good today. How's things for you??? I hope you got on OK over the passport. It was a rotten thing that happened to you. We live in an area that started getting burgled after we arrived and I hope there's no connection.... Anyway, we have locks on all windows, burglar alarm and 5 dogs. I am hoping that it makes us fairly safe, but know that nothing is 100%. I hope your hero neighbour will now keep an ear out for you. Is he handsome........

LOL not so much - also he lives with Screaming Psycho woman, has done for years - but he was a hero, no doubt about it, so that's a real plus about living here.

I've found a Kiwi student to witness the application, but it's unlikely it will all get sorted before my planned trip to Abruzzo, so that's £150 down the drain (Ryanair don't refund). Felt very down this afternoon, and got quite upset in the car on the way home - crying and driving simultaneously are not recommended.

But I've faced worse and got through it, so it's shoulders back, t*ts out and chin up time :)

Well done on getting back on track today! xxx

If possible, don't give up on your trip. You might be pleasantly surprised! Maybe at this time of year, they wont be so busy, so it will whizz through. I certainly hope so. These tick-turds have no idea (nor do they care about) the effect they are having on the people they burgle. But you're a fighter and though it might be a bumpy road, I am sure you will overcome.

As for driving when upset and crying, -been there, done that. Went on for weeks. You just go through the motions and eventually your sanity returns.

Thanks hun - very sane words - and I feel a lot better today - although Day 1 of l/c meant I was up to the loo SIX times during the night :D

Evening lynne, hows you? Xx

Hi Kat1e, I am good thanks. Trying to stay on the straight and narrow. I think I am doing ok, but the scales will tell me the truth, I guess. I have been exploring apps for my Tab. I have found one for relaxation (sleep etc) and one for yoga. I havent tried the yoga one yet, but I think I should try doing it in the evening, when the dogs are less likely to break the 'mood'. How has your weekend been???

Do you dogs try and join in the yoga?

I havent started yet, LOL! The reason why I think it would be good to do it when they are laying abot because when they are playing and barking I worry their noise will upset the neighbours, so I wont be relaxing. Reason I didnt try it tonight: son called.....

OK folks. Though I will try again tomorrow, tonights session lasted SECONDS. I am blushing to admit this... The nice lady crouched, I crouched, my right knee went 'ping'. I then saw to my horror, that the next move was to stretch out one leg at a time into virtually a press up position, realised I had bitten off more than I could chew and gave up

This takes almost the same length of time to read as the session lasted....

Omg thats not Yoga!!!
That's torture!

LOL, I went to Yoga classes in the UK (briefly) and it was amazing, to me, how strenuous it was. But then I am very unfit. If my knee continues to be a problem, I wont be able to do it. :(

Oh love you poor thing (lol)! maybe there are special exercises that can help strengthen your knee? I always thought pilates was good for that sort of thing.

How's the knee today?

I haven't bent it (other than the normal) -so it's been OK. I had bookmarked some Upside-Down Pilates (the ones concerning bands) on Youtube, and tried a bit of that today. It was OK :) The dogs milled about looking at me, then they lined up on, or in front of, a settee taking it in turns to either come and sniff me, or stand and bark or howl. I really need a mat though, as these floors are marble and the two rugs we have are thin and I really dont fancy rolling about on it. About 10 years ago the doctor told me it was Chondromalacia Patella. Told me to lose weight. I weigh less now but every now and again it kicks up. Its a bloody shame because I used to belong to a walking club but it was a nightmare going down steep slopes and the last few times I went, I was firmly at the back and red faced about it. It hurts like mad in a line down the front of the knee or at the side of it. Feels like it will collapse. It makes a crunching noise when I am going upstairs. -Luvverly

There's no free apps for Pilates for my Tab. Don't fancy paying for something that might not be any good. Anyway the Youtube vids are good, I like them. Aah!! I have found some apps for the Mac :)

How are you today Susie?

Morning Lynne

Sorry, I was on an interview panel all day yesterday :) I'm feeling more secure and much more chipper, thanks hun.

Have you tried the Pilates apps yet? I miss my mac sigh.....

All the Pilates apps were ones you have to pay for. SO I am going to try the Upside-down Pilates on Youtube. Didn't do it yesterday as we were out all day and after cooking, I felt 'meh'. Also, we havent got a decent surface for me to do the floor exercised, though I might try the sunbed mattresses, LOL! I am glad you had a good sleep and I really feel your pain over the Mac. I would be devastated. But its in more danger from my dogs than burglars, seeing as they have mad half hours that involve whizzing past me. The knack is to try to always have some part of me on it to stabilise it.

LOL on the dogs - I always freeze slightly when I see Orbit jump around the place - but she's a delicate little thing with very precise jumping and landing skills :D

She has been a wee honey you know, pets really do pick up on sadness, she came and patted my cheek last night when I was having a little tear, bless her :)

Awwwww Susie, that's so sweet!!! That made tears in my eyes and my heart swell. Lovely! yes, they definitely do sense sadness and try to help. :bighug:

LOL well either that or she was telling to pull my finger out and change the litter :D

But I know what you mean, it made me well up a bit too. Much more reliable than blokes :D
