maintenance with 5:2

Carrie it's great that you are continuing to post here after reaching goal and during your maintenance. It is so helpful knowing that maintenance can be achieved and how. Thank you for sharing this new lifestyle with us!
 
Thanks so much ladies, today has been a good and bad day. Exercise good and food good bit motivation appeared to have left me after this mornings 86min insanity workout. However... I keep plodding lol. Normal upbeat service will return tomorrow ( only 56 mins tomorrow) :/ xxx
 
Today's food, not had my snacks yet? Well had the Bon bons at work. :) xxx day 51 insanity complete too :) xxx

Yummy! Your food always looks so good! You're doing fab on insanity! I see you have reset your goal to 8st 10? Is that so you allow yourself a buffer zone of a few pounds from your original goal? I know I had planned to have a buffer zone when set my goal last year.
 
It's really just so I have a push. I might not like when I'm there and want to gain a bit but if it helps me eat cleaner to rid the fat then that's better than nothing lol. I'm just trying little techniques to keep me focused. :) xxx
 
That's a great way to keep focused and mindful during this maintenance phase. I guess it still is early days insofar as maintenance is concerned so I totally get the techniques you need to use to keep it going. Better than than get too comfy because as I know from my experience of being 7-8lbs goal it can slip away far too easily.

Again can't thank you enough for sharing this all. Your thread is going to be a useful tool to us all loading the last bit and maintaining. :)

Ended up finishing on 1636kcals yesterday so aiming for a fast today. We will see lol xxx
 
Mondays fasts are always easy as I've had my insanity rest day on the Sunday. But must admit that the Wednesday fast is a struggle... Because I am hungry lol.... Xxx
 
That's interesting. I ask because I have a friend who lost just over 4st over a period of 3 year maybe? The last 2 stone or so she lost last year I would say doing 5:2 from around Nov/Dec. She had lost most of it by March. She still does 2 fast days and has maintained. I think she's around 9st maybe just a bit under. I back to forward planning and wondering if 5:2 is the way to go (plus keeping up exercise). I tried it last year and it helped me maintain for a while but then I just found it really hard going unless I was really busy. I couldn't do it with my PT sessions as it left me exhausted and very hungry! I'll try and do a few more weeks on SnS for now and see where I am once I get to the 8st 8-10lbs point.

It is working for you because you are putting the effort in - that is what I need effort and less procrastination:)
 
I still keep a count of cals on non fast days so try to keep focused and in control to some extent. The insanity workouts are taking a lot out of me lol... Tried on some clothes today, pink top and long skirt is size 6, everything else an 8. I did pull the black dress up as it was a dropped waist but the skirt was too long lol... Red tartan skirt and black top is my outfit for today :) xxx

U got me hooked on tae bo and I invested in d Insanity fast and furious DVD as have limited time..Do both some days...
. Wk1 Exante / shake that weight done.. 8lbs gone! 19 lbs left to lose!!
Tanx 4 inspiring me... Will Definately switch to 5:2 when I get 2 goal!!
 
Lurrrve! The outfits! You look stunning in them!! And so very slim and toned! Has your head caught up with your weightloss? Does that make sense?

Thanks crazy fool, final week of insanity starts tomorrow. Can't get my hands in t25 yet so going to get the insanity fast n furious to do for 1 month till I can get t25. Food has been okay for maintenance cals but only done 1 fast last week. Definitely do 2 next week. Xxx
