MAMA22 diary

Hmm - I was thinking less about the vows and more about the holiday - lol. Maybe after I marry, I will think about it more.

Oh - don't get me started on boys and their mummies! MILs are just driving me nuts today. Imagine if your OH was from a family who believed in polygamy (been watching Big Love adverts) and you had 3 or 4 MILs':cry:

We love BIG LOVE! But, I have family members who are LDS (Mormon - but not the polygamists kind) and friends, as well. So, I find it all so very interesting having heard and seen so much about the lifestyle over the years.

I know we did our vows and that It should be enough, I also had a ring put on that I never wanted to remove (my mum has never removed hers) BUT due to weight loss they have now been reduced by the maximum and are still big OH Is wanting to replace them and get the new ones blessed. I have said he would have to cut my finger off first so an agreement has been made that a new ring will be blessed and added that fits to hold the others in place. The extra bonus being we get to return to our honeymoon destination and have the service we both wanted without upsetting the in-laws.
Just a shame we couldn't get our vicar (who also baptised my girls) to cover the service lol

Mel my OH's parents have never done the renewal thing, but mine did at 25years as my dad had his ring ripped off luckily the ring snapped or he could have lost his finger.

I can now get back in to my wedding dress but OH thinks I would be to hot in it (will try post pic later) or I would be in that

ooh - show me pics of you in your wedding dress. :)

Ok just showed these to hubby and he think my face looks thinner now

What a gorgeous dress and you made a beautiful bride (hubby is not to bad either). Why not bring the dress and plan on a sunset evening service -- and see if the weather makes it workable. If not have a back up dress. However, be sure to think of the sand, etc.

Thank you can't believe it was 9years ago this April :-o

I said that about the dress as the train comes off and it would just be the top and skirt but it is very thick and heavy.

Oh, how about the top with a lighter skirt. I can see something with light layers blowing in the wind. Oh and get the gel nail varnish for fingers and toes -- it is lasts forever.

yes! nails inc three-week manicure is bombproof - but less 'fake' feeling than full gel/acrylic nails.

I love nails inc I have a hobby craft box full, gutted they stopped the blue growth stuff it's the only thing that stopped my nails peeling.

oh god - i have a serious nails inc habit. spent over £200 on manicures and products in the last four months alone...

That dress is lovely. I agree with the ladies though, wear the top and get a lighter skirt. I bet you can get a lovely flowing breezy one (dress descriptions are not my forte)
I love your flowers too.

I have just had the cal gel nails on for the last few weeks to try out for my wedding. I had to have extensions as I have no nails. Which meant they lasted 3 weeks and then popped off - I have just one left on. However, pretty impressed with them so will be having them again for the wedding.

OMG my sister has just got the phone call and is booked in for her weight loss surgery on the 8th of feb. can't believe how fast it's happening she is so excited. Don't really know how I feel about it now it's actually happening I'm more of a practical persons and as she's staying with us after the op my first thoughts was, I best freshen the bedding in the spare room lol.

I can't remember my sister thin and I don't know how she will handle the weight loss rate as research I have done its no faster the cambridge I suppose the only difference is she has to stick to it or cause damage and could end up really ill.

Any faster weightloss could be damaging surely - besides her surgeons or whatever should have explained all this to her. Maybe you should get her to look at Spangles diary for inspiration on how fast it can come off and how the photos show the difference - hope Spangles doesn't mind me shoving her diary at other people.

not at all, fill your boots.:D

eeks! I'm always telling people to read Spangles diary!!

Mama, biosculpt nails are brilliant too and there's and other gel type which I've forgotten the name of and will continue to annoy me until I remember it!

I am so happy for her. I hope everything goes well. You are so fab for being there to support her through this.

I had no idea that Spangles did this -- I have had a few friends who have and it certainly saved their lives (or at the very least improved the quality of them). (One of whom has a sister that passed away in her sleep from a heart attack in her 30s because of her weight.)

I haven't had weightloss surgery! I think she was just suggesting my diary cos i have all the photos of losing a large amount of weight over the same kind of timescale as post WLS. :)

Well another day another 1lb at least I'm moving in the right direction this week. Have a very busy weekend ahead out to the pictures tomorrow night, soft play house Saturday morning for my girls, a 16th birthday Saturday night for oh's cousin and then a 3 year olds party Sunday. Hopefully to busy to cheat hey as long as I stay away from buffet.

Had my mum on the phone for an hr worrying about my sister but I said she will do what she wants to do and we just have to support her. My sister has tried all types of diet inc cd and could never stick at it long enough to lose the weight (she needs to lose about 13st) shes been engaged twice but never married and is 31 both ex's cheated and she turned to food and left whatever diet she was on. I know she wants to find someone (gives up on diet for a night out drinking/eating with mates) but she puts her weight in the way. Anyway 3 weeks till her op and she has to have liquid diet for 10 days before (milk and yogurt)

My target is to get to target in the next 3/4 weeks then I can learn portion sizes from her new smaller stomach lol

Yes - sorry for the confusion. :D I meant look at how fast Spangles lost the weight to get a realistic idea of what is reasonable to lose if you are totally well behaved. :D
