I'm trying SS+ to stop me cheating I can not do SS anymore

I tried to SS at the beginning of the month and it was just too hard.
 
I have to say SS to again is really very hard. For some reason I managed it the first time back in 2008 but I never ever want to do this again! I only managed to get back into CWP because I had so many failed attempts at SS so I decided to do SS+ which is working for me and so far the difference in losses between SS and SS+ haven't been significant.
 
I do not want to do a VLCD again, as it messes up your leptin levels andmakes it more difficult to maintain your losses (lowers your metabolism by about 15%).
Where did you read that, Mel? do you remember?
 
SS is really hard -I managed it fine when I was starting, I think because I was so much heavier, fed up and wanting to lose the weight.

But now I am closer to target and not so anti-myself, its much harder to be enthusiastic. So we are SS+ in this house. But, I find it frustrating the weight takes so long to get off.
*of course, less cheating would help*

My sister is a USAF Officer and a physiologist who has connections with Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organisation. She sent me a study to read when I started Lighter Life and also made me to promise to do a minimum of 20 minutes 3 times a week of cardio exercise (I did aquafit and Zumba) whilst I was on a VLCD because you can canibalise your heart muscle along with others if you are on a VLCD too long. (I was only on the diet 14 weeks and then stepped up plans.)

I can look and see if I still have the link to study somewhere. If I do I'll coem back and post it in your diary.

WI this morning and I'm down to 10,8.6 only 1.4 down this week but my lowest since Christmas. 8.6 to go and I set myself a target of 14th feb only 3 weeks it can be done can't it, it's only 2.8 lb per week. I have moved up to SS+ as trying to stick with SS was causing me to cheat.
 
10.8 is not bad at all. You are stuck at the same wall as me Mama, we just keep bouncing about at this weight. Shall we make a concerted effort for the rest of the week!

Yep just posted in your diary 3 weeks till valentines day and will SS+ till then or my 10 st target. So first one to 10 your on lol

SS+ has sorted my head out the only thing I have added today is 2 grapes and 3 green olives, so much better then trying to fight on with SS.

Hubby and myself are out on Thursday for a Christmas present from my parents, a meal at a pub (chicken salad for me no dressing) and an afternoon at a spa with massage (centre parc sherwood Forrest) can wait.

I visited the Centre Parcs spa in Longleat... I loved it.
 
The sherwood Forrest one is only 10 minuets from us so we try to get a couple of times a year but I'm so ready for this one we went to Eden spa at Newark last time and was good but not as much as sherwood.

Two of the local council leisure centres have spas designed by the same people who did the Centre Parcs ones -- but they are mini versions. Nice though.
 
Stupid me didn't have my shake before I had to do the school run at 12 ended up getting back in the house starving and having a sandwich.

One sandwich will not undo all the other good you've done. We need plan - is all. Can you get some bars and carry them with you?
 
Paying for my sandwich today 3lb up WTF bread is not my friend think I can say that post cd I need to eat wheat free, stomach ache and puffy gut is not a good look for a day in a spa :-(
Hoping the saunas and steam rooms help me get rid of this.

Oh I know what you mean about bread! I have had a couple of slices over 2 days and I feel so full. Almost cried at the scales the other night. But - I have had one dress fitting, have another in 2 weeks and I cannot afford now to put any weight ON - so I am going to be extra strict now!

So - how you getting on otherwise?
