Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Just realised I have no chicken .. So will have to be a bacon rasher.. Courgette spirals with garlic butter and bacon - blob of yogurt., brings me to just under 600 cals

I don't have cereals anymore, I found that they don't keep me full for long .. Max 2 hours then I was hungry again ., those nuts this morning kept me till 12pm - lunch time - plus water - no problems :) also I know tomorrow I can eat normally - and I'm not starving in the morning - I could even not eat till 10am and be ok ( as long as not week before my totm!!!)

So did you plan to go over the 500?! As in your meals totalled it before the day began or have you had something unplanned!?

I tend to go over the 500 as I find it harder to get that low. Perhaps due to what I have "left over" from last night that needs eating or not having been to suppermarket or what everybody is having for dinner.

But I do plan my day before I start and I plan the fast from the day before. During the fast I avoid carbs and in general my diet is low is processed carbs and rice, bread, and legumes and potatoes . So apart from the week before my totm I don't get many cravings for sugar/ carbs during the day! Just my head being naughty ;) lol

Ok dinner was courgette spirals with garlic butter and homemade cottage cheese/ ricotta sprinkled with pine nuts .. Few cherry tomatoes and celery for snack ..

Finished on 687 cals - better than last time where i gave up as was week before totm and had serious cravings!

Have done 4 fasts so far, inc today
1st one was about 700 ish
2nd one 800
3rd one 1000 - few days before totm - big mistake - couldn't do it!
4th one today - 687. So better than before lol
Will fast again Friday - as I have kettlercise on Thursday - not tempted to try to fast and go to class yet lol

Going to the suppermarket with my kids after school almost did me in lol .. Was heading for the diet coke and apple turnovers at one point .. Found the cherry tomatoes and celery instead ;) Was planning on a carrot - but cals were much the same .

How are you finding it eating through the day - does it make you hungrier? I've read some people don't get hungry until later in the day so just have dinner for example. I can't do it either way so just curious really! :D

I find I have to eat 3 small meals and a afternoon snack - otherwise it's just too hard. I'm finding that its my thirst I notice more ..

Am a bit hungry now .. But also realise that I'm thirsty too - quenching my thirst helps with the hungry feelings. Lol my head also knows I can eat tomorrow

Well done on yesterday, For me its easier to eat as late as possible. If i have a breakfast then I find it make me more hungry throughout the day.

And well done on making through the supermarket unscathed. One of my colleagues walked into my office with a portion of chip shop chips on monday (fast day) and I had to tell him to get out, the smell was too much!

I bought some zero noodles which are going to be a staple food for fast days.I had some on Monday night with mushrooms, garlic and herb philly light and some bacon (like a carbonara) and it was quite nice.

Fast day again today..
Breakfast: boiled egg, slice ham, 1/4 slice of jarlsberg cheese, 1/4 carrot

Lunch: salad with tuna wee bit mayo

Dinner: courgette spirals with garlic butter and home made cottage cheese/ ricotta

Snack: 1/4 carrot, sugar snap peas - macadamia Nuts

Cals 680 (ish) ;)

Dinner was different: chicken mini fillet and salad bits :) my kids had wraps and I had a taste of the chicken and decided I fancied it too :) not the wrap bit tho lol

Feeling pretty up beat/ positive today - the afternoon was hardest - and I think the planned dinner - is changeable as long as I'm mindful of the calories .. Not feeling hungry - not craving anything .. Altho my head is thinking about what I could eat .. But tomorrow is a sleep away lol

Not any more but I started out that way :). I stay here because its where I started / but now I eat differently. But am here for support and I still know the rules - even if I don't follow them ;)

I am following the primal blue print/ mark sisson and experimenting with the 5:2 fasting diet which is also part of the primal way of life :)

WI this morning 300g off, so moving in the right direction.

Have not slept well last few night (my littlest son is sick) and am feeling so tired - I know I eat more on those days - so yesterday I ate way over my cals - in the evening - should have just gone to bed

I've got people coming for dinner tonight .. House needs - serious cleaning - no energy to do it! Last Sat I had loads energy - today nothing ! Just want more sleep!
