Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

I don't eat granola very often but I make my own when I do because I've got total control over what I put in it. My daughter eats it a lot as well.
You just use your chosen fave oats, nuts seeds etc and drizzle as much or as little of your chosen sugar on top and spread it out on a baking tray and 'toast' in the oven until its crunchy. I like to use maple syrup or honey. Granola tends to be high in sugar because you do need to coat it to cook it properly but at least if you make your own you can control it.

Lol :) somehow I don't think Tara meant chocolate covered Brazil's :) although I might try that one. I love them too. I think you'll be ok Rachel I eat a few nuts every now and again with no tango. It's only if you eat a lot or every day that you may get a build up. A few good fats seem to be ok

Feeling better today., in my head feeling more settled and positive - really glad I've figured out what's been making me feel so "hungry" and bloated.

Had porridge for breakfast with prunes.
Snack at 11:30 of nakd coca loco bar - wasn't really hungry, but I think I need to sort my body out.. as getting off the sugar round about is sometimes hard.

Will have my chickpea curry with poached eggs later.
 
Ok didn't have my chickpea curry.. Had crap for lunch.. Followed by crap later..

Made a Xmas cake for a friend - OMG the smell is so good!! Have not eaten it!! But oh so tempted. Instead I ate a choc croissant.. and later when I was putting the cooled cake in my cake box - there was the rest of the shortbread..the smell of shortbread, really gets me - my mum always made shortbread and I love it. Ate 3 bits and put rest in bin. But damage done. :(

This sugar round about is harder to get off than I thought! Going to be eating loads cashew nuts until I get off it!! I need to get myself back to normal!
 
oh never mind tara we all have our times. Keeping drinking plenty of water when you start to crave sugar, or have a cup of flavoured tea, i find that helps. I think the apple tea is helping me, it also has nettle, hibiscus, peppermint and a few other things in it, the apple is just to make it taste nice i think. I find i am not bloated at all now i am drinking this.
 
Ok some of the cravings/ bloating were Totm related - 4 days early
 
Weight is on its way down again finally .. 700g off today another 1.1kg to go ..

Breakfast
2 egg omelette with button mushrooms, 2 slices back bacon (not to fatty) and 2 tomatoes - plus a cup of hot cocoa and Oh My Gosh I drank most of it with no sugar added just hot milk and plain cocoa powder, towards the end as it got cooler need wee bit sweet freedom - but in reality am really happy that my sweet tooth has changed so much when drinking hot choc. :)

Feeling satisfied and full, but not stuffed - no cravings at present. Hope to last till lunch time with out a snack in between.
 
Getting ready for my sons birthday party on Sunday - all family coming - 16 + people

Decided going to do a chocolate hazelnut cheese cake.. Made it was great had a wee taste yummy - then read rest of recipe only keep in fridge for 4 days.. I made it on Monday .. Sunday to far away had to eat it/ give it away - soooo very nice ate loads of it lol

My weight has not gone up but is not going down , but def know why lol

Today trying to make choc birthday cake with quinoa flour and coconut flour .. In silicon letters to spell sons name.. Have not used silicon bake ware before..
 
I've got some really good silicone bakeware. Jamie Oliver they've got rigid edges so don't flop around

I bought some letters to make my sons name - just have to figure out how full to fill them and what cake mix to use lol
 
Yay! Figured cake mix out.. Needs to be runny to get the best result :)

Funny today am not really hungry.. Feel back in the "Zone" lol only thing I can think of is that my totm has just finished ???
 
WI today shows a gain if 200g. I know my food choices are to blame ;) Birthday party Sat/ Sun Monday back to it :)
 
Have made a chocolate hazelnut cheese cake out of light Philadelphia and Nutella on a digestive biscuit base topped with chopped hazelnuts..

A birthday cake - 5 eggs, 5 x 1/4 cups sugar, 4 x 1/4 cups quinoa flour, 1 x 1/4 cup cocoa powder.
1/4 cup yogurt, and 1tsp baking soda, plus 3/4 of 1x 1/4 cup coconut oil. Quite a runny mix but perfect for pouring in silicon letters :)

A pavlova which turned out perfect :) for once :) thanks to nigella's tip to wipe bowl out with vinegar :)

I brought a Bluetooth heart rate monitor belt - a polar H7 it connects with my polar white FT40 watch and with my iPhone polar app.. Very cool :)

I should be able to figure out my cals burnt in a normal day :) Today in 8 hours I've burnt about 1000 cals - just been moving round the house not doing much.

Had a Physio app on Wed and I asked if it was ok to go to my kettlercise class. I explained that kettlercise doesn't include leaping around or running its mostly standing keeping feet still. I will have to keep my right arm in its sling, and only use my left arm and modify some exercises. Really good to go back and exercise my legs, butt etc - know I'm going to be sore next day lol but worth going!

Physio also said is ok to do some bicep curls with my lightest bell (2.5kg) as long as my elbow is tucked into my side.

Yay for me :) Is part of why I got the new blue tooth heart rate belt..

Feeling sick, like I want to throw up.. Busy morning getting toys put away and Storting house out for bday party thus morning .. Forgot to eat - started feeling like throwing up and realised had not eaten breakfast ., ate but still feel icky!!
