Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Thank you both - was looking at the cauliflower mash tonight! I was addicted to pea mash with garlic and butter when pregnant with son1 - mmm so thinking that cauliflower mash - made with new kenwood food processor might be doable hehe

Returned leaky kenwood blender to agros and upgraded to multi pro food processor for an extra £20 plus gift Certs lol

Going to try the "new" no oat oatmeal porridge out on OH and kid2 in the morning Kid1 will not and doesn't like to try new "weird" stuff lol or even repackage stuff - when the supermarket changes the packaging on the yogurts - kid1 will not eat them unless - I force him to try them!

Made it for OH and his comment was not sweet enough! Me; Um yes it is.. OH; No it's not!! so he put 2T runny honey on top and yup then he thought it was nice lol

OH other comment was if you thought this is sweet and he thought the hazelnut (Philly/Nutella) cheesecake was too sweet and I thought it was just right - how does that work?? Lol um cheesecake didn't have cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger in it... Plus almond milk, eggs, cashew butter and a banana in it .. But if I told him what was in the "porridge" he wouldn't eat it lol

I wonder if the porridge mixed with a little bit cocoa powder would bake in oven to make a chocy nutty custard pie (no pastry) .. Might give it a go ;)

Recon portion size might be 3 people ho de hum not just one lol

It's sitting on stove hope it keeps till kids wake up..

Ooh exciting new food processor!

Mr plum actually prefers shepherds pie with cauliflower mash now! If you keep it dry it's really quite fluffy. :)

What was the kiddo verdict on the n-oatmeal?

Hmm how long do you cook your no oatmeal for, ours turned into offputting scrambled egg texture. Teamed with blueberries that weren't quite defrosted it wasn't the best altho the flavour was good!

Well surprise, surprise my oldest son like the nutty no oatmeal - after I got him to open his mouth to try it lol. Sold as nutty with bananas and almonds with honey and milk .. Bit like a nutty banana cake lol - he ate a good portion

Little son likes it but is lazy to eat it lol needs my help as he "can't use the spoon" sob sniff

Today I fasted till 10.45am - now I start my day with a bowl of berries and chopped nuts and flaked almonds with almond milk.

Feeling ok today, but was really tired yesterday, and my right eye was red and inflamed yesterday - I've been getting allergic conjunctivitis every few weeks. Really annoying - but the eye cream helps better than the drops :)

Also had Physio yesterday and was given a new exercise - that makes my shoulder really ache!!

Laying down with arm in air with 500g weight .. Move down to hip, then back as far as I can go above my head. Then with arm straight up move in circles each way x10 and do 5 x a day .. Where to find the time lol Is meant is strengthen front of my shoulder :). Once doesn't hurt with 500g weight move up to 1kg, then to 1.5kg etc .. Oh and Nhs doesn't supply the hand weights.. So need to buy - OH was like more useless fitness equipment round the house !

Happy bunny today :) 1.5kg (3.3lbs) down this week, almost back to my lowest weight. 600g and I will be back to 83.5kg - so hopefully next week.

Someone posted this the other day, they are great!

GRAIN FREE ALMOND CRACKERS

ingredients:
1 cup almond flour
1 egg white
1 pinch salt

(that's it!)

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.

In a bowl, mix together the almond flour, egg white, and salt until it forms a paste.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Make sure you use parchment paper, because if you don't you'll end up chipping your crackers out of the pan. Place the dough in the middle and top with another piece of parchment paper. Using a rolling pin (or any other cylindrical instrument), roll out the dough as thin as you can get it. Try to make it take up the whole cookie sheet if you can. Super thin. I mean it!

Peel off the top layer of paper and score the dough with a knife into whatever size crackers you want. Bake in the 325 oven for 10 minutes and then check on the crackers. You are looking for them to color ever so slightly. A little color means crispy, but a lot of color means burned nut taste, which is no good. If the edges have started to color nicely, remove them to a plate and put the remaining crackers back in the oven. Keep doing this, checking every 5 minutes and removing the golden crackers, until finally they are all baked to perfection.

Cool completely and store in an airtight container.

You can make many variations on thee crackers by adding in different seasonings to the dough base. Go nuts! (hur hur)

Get all the way down 3 levels of escalators and stairs and olderest son - I need the toilet! GRRR! Back up 3 sets of escalators, back out to kings cross to toilet., then back down again by lift this time .. Someone kindly showed my where to go :) arm aching from pulling trolley.

Get on tube - full of people who avoided looking at me and my gaggle of kids, cat and arm in sling.. No one offered the cripple a seat, finally one lady gave up her seat for my 3 year old who was shouting I want to sit down! Took another 2 stops before enough people got off to give my oldest son & me a seat!! Forgot how awful people can be!
