Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Aw it's disappointing when our efforts are rewarded with 'ok' results isn't it. I wonder if you have ever tried a recipe from Elana's Pantry? My birthday cupcakes were from her book and they were yummy. She has a plain vanilla that might be a good base recipe (I haven't tried it)? http://www.elanaspantry.com/vanilla-cupcakes-with-chocolate-frosting/ (I think you can use honey/coconut oil if you like instead of agave/grape seed oil - melted butter would maybe work too?)

Almond oil is what I normally use to cook with, as well as coconut oil, lard and butter .. Also got some avocado oil for salads

One thing I have noticed is that my teeth don't get that fuzzy feeling so much with eating less grains, sugars etc :)

Scales show I'm loosing again :) in reality I'm back where I was 2 weeks ago lol

My 21 day primal total body transformation book, suggested today that I try and delay eating breakfast until I feel hungry.. So that i learn what my hungry signs are! Makes sense really as don't think I know what the difference between thirsty and hungry is !

So far today I've had water.. As I was thirsty not hungry .. Got my breakfast/ brunch ready but will just see if I can last a bit longer - as still not that hungry - just thirsty lol

Managed to last till 10:30, then had

2 eggs, bacon, mushrooms, cherry toms, 1/4 small pear, 3/4 apple few bits satsuma (my son didn't want any more lol) bit of carrot.

I drank about 4 litres water yesterday .. Today I'm 1 kg up - my scales don't like me :(

Lets hope it drains away!

Breakfast : 1 egg, 1 rasher bacon, coconut milk with banana and coca powder smoothie

Lol I've just made a mince mix with eggplant, carrots, onions, kidney beans, mushrooms and lean beef.. 2 tins toms and 6 big cloves garlic added at the end.. No vampires visiting us tonight :) kind of chilli con carne just no chilli ;) very yummy !

Yesterday - got wet and cold at the park - made the mistake of making normal pancakes for my little cold dry son - of which I ate 1/2 .. plus had some rice- left over Chinese etc .. Enjoyed the Chinese rice but actually not the pancakes in the end .. Kept thinking about something I read - would I like them (pancakes) plain with out toppings - lemon and honey/ butter etc .. Answer. No .. So why did I eat them.. Answer :- pancakes were always my/ our treat snack item in our house when growing up.. Memories/ habits are hard to change!

Back to it today - with hopefully a bit more wisdom or hind sight to stop myself before I slip!
