Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Well I'm figuring I've got the lift heavy things going on! This class covers the sprint occasionally .. Once the weather improves again I will add more walking :) then that's the exercise sorted lol

Enjoyed today's class, HIIT class 465 cals - more jogging distance wise - but not as fast. My lack of sleep is catching me up now ., I ached all over last night - was hard to settle down to sleep and then at 2.30 an alarm on a phone started going off.. Grrr! Of course no one woke up except me - had to figure out what phone it was..

Bit cross with my scales ., they were down yesterday, and now way up this morning!!

Also recon I've got some WDPR too lol soooo I'm officially going to leave my WI till tomorrow!!!!

Prunes for breakfast! And maybe lunch too!

I think I've been eating later than I normally do last few nights, which means my morning loo trip is being delayed till after lunch ...

Soooo with that in mind I think I will try and eat before 6pm and then that's it - except on Thursday if I go to class - then a protein shake rather than actual food ..

I know that when I'm exercising that sometimes it takes a while for my body to drop the weight.. But am def noticing a difference in tummy area and how my bra is fitting :)

Breakfast prunes in juice, yogurt, toasted almonds

Lunch : burger patties out of hamburger and a med chips ..

(Had taken a snack bar with me - but when I tried eating it ., was too sweet - nakd bar) but got way too hungry.. Expect I should have followed the prunes with an omelette ..

Dinner: pork chop crumbed in dried cheeses and coconut flour and broccoli - cooked pork chop in lard - must say my kitchen is much less smoky lol

Snack: dark choc

WI yesterday had me at 88.9kg a 1.2kg gain. Today after prunes yesterday I'm 88.5kg which is an 800g gain .. Not happy but I acknowledge it! Moving on.,

Breakfast : smoothie with mango chunks, coconut milk, cashew butter. 1/2 an egg - cooked

Just making my boys some cup cakes.. Gluten free .. With desecrated coconut, banana, honey instead of sugar.. cashew butter, eggs, coconut milk, gluten free flour blend, coconut flour, amaranth flour, almond flour, quinoa flour.. Normally I use spelt flour - but thought I'd try the gluten free flour blend!

Have been trying to cut down how much bread etc they eat., and normally they like the cup cakes ., fingers crossed!

My mission not to eat more than 1/2 of one! ;)

The cup cakes taste ok.. Not great but ok ., the Honey worked fine in place of the sugar ., So going forward I will use honey instead of sugar in my cakes etc ., But the cup cakes taste better with spelt wheat flour :(

Aw it's disappointing when our efforts are rewarded with 'ok' results isn't it. I wonder if you have ever tried a recipe from Elana's Pantry? My birthday cupcakes were from her book and they were yummy. She has a plain vanilla that might be a good base recipe (I haven't tried it)? http://www.elanaspantry.com/vanilla-cupcakes-with-chocolate-frosting/ (I think you can use honey/coconut oil if you like instead of agave/grape seed oil - melted butter would maybe work too?)

I'll look forward to hearing how they turn out! Just found a paleo choc cupcake on her site that uses coconut oil and honey so it should be possible. Fingers crossed they'll be yummy!
 
Tara check out www.therawtarian.com her recipes are amazing. I've been using them and am thinking of going raw for a while. She does some amazing deserts with not a single speck of flour in sight that would be great for the kids. Her brownies are great

No kettercise this morning - had to go visit some family who were not well.

Did quite well visiting didn't eat any rubbish.. But they did have these dried fruit things - no sugar etc. :) which they thought were yucky! Lol rather nice actually ..

Lunch - salad stuff with cold roast lamb - yummy!

Dinner: pork ribs :)
